Pretty good American-Italian food. Flavors were not gourmet or interesting. Most of the meats and cheeses were processed. Tasty, nonetheless. I ordered the Italian Hoagie and the Cheesesteak pizza slice. The hoagie has a nice soft and chewy roll. The meats inside were sparse and tasted processed. Cheese was the same. Overall, the flavors of the sub were very flat and did not taste fresh. The taste was 25% better than subway, but not a huge difference. The pizza slice had amazing crust. It had a crisp exterior with a soft finish on the bite. The beef was nice, savoury and meaty and of fair portion. However, the slice was topped with processed white american cheese and an overly sweet sauce similar to tomato paste. The cheese or sauce would have been OK separately. But together there was too much processed salty/sugary notes going on to appreciate. Romano's did a few things very well. But the meal did not come together as I like. read more

I stopped into Let's Roll for a couple of slices of pizza. I expected the regular shopping center pizza that leaves me wondering why I wasted the calories. WOW, was I surprised! I have lived in NYC and North Jersey, so I know pizza. It was delicious: homemade crust, fantastic real cheese, and sauce with a slight bite to it, perfect ratio of sauce to cheese. I've had a mix of experiences with Romano's food. Overall, their pizza and their french fries are delicious. But the quality can be inconsistent. Typically if I drive over to their restaurant for lunch, the food is spot on and I have no complaints. They're service is fast and friendly. The cost is reasonable and comparable to other pizzeria's in the area. On the flip side, any time I have ordered delivery, the food has been disappointing. I'm not sure if it just sits too long before they decide to drive it (2.5 miles away) or what. But the only time I have had unsatisfactory food is when I have ordered take out. read more

We were excited for this new restaurant to open in the old Pizza U spot! Placed an order for pickup (Stromboli and a wrap) and were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Order was not ready when we arrived and it took another 10 minutes on a slow Tuesday night. Wrap was passable but the Stromboli was badly burnt on the bottom and swimming in a clear liquid which leaked out of the box all over my husband's clothes. Wings were puny and had no taste...one I even called a "bone ball" bc that's what it was...?! Pizza was measly and sauce and cheese was barely there. They offer no dessert options and the salad dressing to accompany the wings was inedible because it was the kind in packets and it reached probably 100 degrees in the bag. Atmosphere was good they had a couple of tvs on the wall playing different things on each. Food on the other hand was ok but not good. I got two slices and I had to pour the grease off of both slices. Other than that it was just ok pizza. Brand new in Parkway.....give them a try! No, it ain't fine dining but it IS a pretty darn good "neighborhood" kind of place with real Italian cooking (unlike the horrendous "Pizza University" that formerly occupied this spot. We've had excellent pizza, hoagies, salad, soup and apps here in three visits. Planning to try their more expensive entrees based on these results. I noticed they got slammed on Grubhub over wings......Hey, this is a NY Pizza kind of place, and I DO NOT mean Buffalo - forget wings, order Garlic Knots! Don't order delivery.......Go eat at their place....these guys are great about making sure you're happy. If you've seen some of my reviews you'll know I'm pretty critical of restaurants trying to act like more than they are, but this one really isn't trying to be anything except an honest family sort of place - they deserve to succeed based on what I've seen so far. read more
