We called Ultimate Towing & Recovery, and the dispatcher estimated the tow back to Concord, NC would be around $500. We agreed, and a driver arrived within about an hour. That's when things went downhill. Tire Damage During Tow. As the driver began transporting our truck, a rear tire on our box truck blew out. All the tires were in good condition with no visible wear or prior issues. We don't know if the damage was due to how the truck was mounted or road conditions, but the timing was suspicious. Unfinished Disassembly. The tow truck driver said he needed to disconnect something underneath our truck to tow it properly. We trusted his judgment--but when we got the truck back, those parts were never reconnected. Now the vehicle won't start, and pieces are left hanging. New Visible Damage. When the truck was finally dropped off--about 7 hours after the initial call--it was leaning to one side from the blown tire and had new body damage that did not exist before. We have timestamped photos showing the condition of the truck before and after the tow. Shocking $1,600 Bill. We were blindsided with a final charge of $1,600, triple what we were quoted. When we questioned the amount, we were told if we didn't pay immediately, our truck would be impounded. We had no choice but to come up with the money under pressure. No Accountability. We contacted Ultimate Towing & Recovery right away and provided photos of the damage. Their response? "Give us your lawyer's number." We're now out $1,600 and stuck with a damaged truck that no longer runs. This experience has severely impacted our small business, and we're extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism and care. If the company decides to make this right, they have our contact info--but until then, we can't recommend them to anyone who values honesty, accountability, or the safety of their vehicle.

Now this trailer was a homemade job and couldn't be fitted with just any old rim and being Memorial Day, it was tricky. Tyrell researched it out and called us right back. That 15 minutes seemed like forever, but trust me dear reader, it was quick. Tyrell found what we needed. Came and picked up the rim, took it for a new tire and came back and helped Tim put it back on. He stayed in touch about his progress along the way. When you're stranded and feeling helpless, those contacts made a big difference on our stress level. We felt quite honored to have had been helped by this sweet and effective gentleman and the price was more than reasonable. I nor my husband called parkway towing/wrecker service after an accident November 2024. I have AAA…read moreand contacted them before going to the accident scene. I informed the driver from parkway and he not only refused to stop and allow the people I called to handle my vehicle but also refused to take my vehicle where I wanted it to go. We live less than half a mile from the accident location and requested the vehicle be taken to our house. There was a pistol in the car that we made prior arrangements with parkway to place in their safe upon arrival of the vehicle until we could secure transportation to retrieve it. I had the pistol with me on my walk to the accident scene and placed it in the glovebox as we had made plans to go to the hospital where it would not have been allowed. The driver with parkway was informed. The car was/is involved in a federal investigation due to possible non deployment of the air bags and recalls concerning such. I was told at the time the car would be safe and to take as long as needed to complete the investigation by an authorized representative from parkway. The car was placed in an "out of the way" area for that specific reason. My husband went by parkway and Mr grubbs informed him he wasn't allowed on the property after Mr grubbs threatened to crush the car before the investigation had taken place. He also quoted a ridiculously inflated storage fee after we had been assured of the cars safe keeping. Needless to say my husband and I weren't happy. Mr grubbs has made no attempt to contact me although he had my mailing address ( as indicated by the simple fact papers were served to my address) and I had notified him of my phone number. We attempted to contact Mr grubbs on numerous occasions however I never received a response. I have call logs with proof of attempts to speak with Mr grubbs and/or an authorized representative from parkway. Even the insurance company had difficulty reaching Mr grubbs. From November 2024 to today's date of April 14, 2026 we have received one (1) return call from Mr grubbs. Parkway is now suing me even though the department of justice has still not completed their investigation.

They were timely; I only had to wait about 45 minutes on a Sunday night, and they came when they were estimated to. The driver arrived in only 25 minutes during 4:30PM rush hour, pulled in and arranged to pull my car up onto his rollback flatbed. My Porsche ride height is only about 2.9" off the ground but the driver had long extended plastic ramps with a gradual grade so it was super easy to get my Porsche on and off his truck bed without a scratch!
