The workers are always very knowledgable and have first hand experience being caregivers themselves, which greatly helps when it comes to questions. I recently came in for orientation to become a Sunrise employee and am impressed with the cleanliness and presentation of the building - inside and out! They have painted the rooms so that its not just LED lighting and white walls that give headache vibes. Instead, it feels professional and comfortable. I had to spend 5 hours here on this recent visit and look forward to the 75 hour training where 4 full days will be spent in person at this location. There are parking spots on both sides of the building but you are able to go from one side to the other if you park on the wrong side. There's a kitchenette with coffee, water, and a place to store lunch but I always recommend bringing your own and not bringing anything you need to heat up. This way everything is easy for you and you can maximize your break time without having to hassle over meal preparation. I highly recommend Sunrise if you want to become a caregiver, and they do have internal pay rates once you are certified. The classes make sense, and are hybrid so 4 of the days are in person, the rest are online at home. It's a great way to get certified and allows you to start work quickly while being fully prepared.

I was referred to With A Little Help by a friend of mine who is a hospice nurse. He actually gave me the names of three agencies, and I called them all. The first two had a corporate vibe, and sent me directly into a voicemail black hole. It was days before I heard back. When I called With A Little Help, within seconds, I was talking with Kacie, one of the owners, who was so kind and spent all of the time I needed talking with me about our situation and care needs. By the end of the phone call, we had a plan for an intake evaluation, and just a couple of days later, a new care team was in place...and just like that, the stress and worry that had been accumulating over many months lifted. This is just one example of the many, many I could share about the excellent care With A Little Help offers. They aren't a corporate-care behemoth. They are local, owner run, and some of the most caring people I've met in a long time. Kacie and Paul, the owners, worked with us to find the caregivers that are the best fit for our situation. The caregivers are highly skilled, professional, and compassionate. All of them have giant hearts. My Grandma was living independently in Seattle with my Mother visiting her 2-3 times a week to check in. This worked for a couple of years until this last December, when Grandma was admitted to the hospital with low sodium, a failing diuretic drug (huge problem when you have heart issues), and her dementia was noticeable worse. It was immediately apparent she could no longer live alone. We contacted Angela and she immediately dove in, and within 2 days she escorted me to visit Assisted Living Facilities that met all of our requirements. We decided a smaller facility would be better, so she took me out again to visit Adult Family Homes (AFH). I preferred a whirlwind tour of several places in the same day (which she accommodated), and with Angela's help I quickly picked up the language of Assisted Care and she made sure to ask all the applicable questions (ones I would never think of). Due to Angela's help, I was well informed to make a decision on the best place for my Grandma. We chose a very good AFH in Bellevue, close to my Parents, and Grandma was well taken care of. Ultimately, my Mother decided to take care of Grandma herself, and we later moved her into my Parent's house. But finding an AFH in the interim allowed us the time to make the transition. Angela did all of this free of charge, was incredibly professional, and very personable. I highly recommend her to anyone in a similar situation. Kellie Consultant at Microsoft
