    Right Now Heating and Air Contract- payment to remove bad review

    Update: The technician who came out on Saturday asked us how much the company would need to pay us to remove our bad review from their site. Heather sent over a contract offering $500 if we took down our review and signed the contract. *(See contract below) Not willing to sign. This is how the company has so many 5 star reviews. The copy of the contract has been removed multiple times from Google when I post it. ___________________________________________ Very disappointed with service. I called to have a water heater replaced on Dec. 2. Connor, the technician bought the wrong size (said it wouldn't fit) and so he hooked up a different water heater for the night so we could have hot water (which I appreciate). The technician was very apologetic. I told him that all I wanted was a quality job (didn't want them to rush and cut corners). When they came back, they bought another water heater but it was still too big. This was day two. Technicians continued to apologize and offered me a free upgrade - a mixing valve so that I could have more hot water. He quoted me $2000 for the upgrade but said he would give it to me for free because of all the issues. Technicians came back on day 3 and installed the new one (lower quality water heater). It took them another day (day 4) to finalize the install. Inspector from the city came out and the inspection failed. I spoke with the inspector about the $2000 upgrade and he laughed and said that the company played me. I spoke with Heather (manager at Right Now) and she said that a failed inspection is a rare thing to have happen. Heather then informed me that she would be sending out a more experienced technician to fix the failed inspection issues. The new guy game out and fixed the issue and it passed inspection (day 5). I went out to change my air filter on my furnace and the new technician that redid all the aluminum piping blocked my access to change the air filter. I called the company again and asked them how this could have happened with a more experienced technician. No answer was provided. They said that they could send someone out to fix the issue. This would be day 6 of a water heater install. Aaron was scheduled to come fix the issue today (Jan. 11) between 8-10am. No one has shown up, I've called the company and was told I'd get a call back on Monday. This water heater repair has now taken over 5 1/2 weeks.

We needed a gas line installed for our backyard fire pit in order to move forward with other scheduled renovation work. I contacted McDaniel Plumbing on a Friday afternoon, hoping they could help us on short notice. To our relief, Chris personally came out the very next Monday to assess the job and provide a quote. He was clear and upfront about his availability, explaining that due to prior commitments, he could schedule us for the following week. True to his word, we received a detailed and fair estimate promptly and were placed on his schedule. Throughout the process, Chris maintained excellent communication--confirming the date and time for the installation and arriving exactly as planned. The work was done efficiently, professionally, and with a high level of craftsmanship. Thanks to Chris, our project stayed on track and we were able to proceed with the rest of our backyard upgrades without delay.     Had such high expectations for this company but was not to be, sadly…read more Called and explained we had a dryer vent cleaning brush head that had come unscrewed and lodged in our dryer vent. The woman took down all the notes and said it would be 97.00. The technician came and within 2 min said he didn't do that and doesn't have tools etc. ??? What did he think he came to do? Anyway, Demetrios said it wasn't a charge because he didn't do anything and was gone in 5 mins. Then 20mins later we get a bill for the 97.00. When we called back right away, we were told that it couldn't be handled until Monday (this was Sat). First exposure to this company and we were NOT impressed. **Update- To their credit, Sarah did phone back that same day and apologized and said that the invoice now reflects a zero balance. She offered to reschedule later in the week but we found another company and could come out quicker and was cheaper.

Unfortunately, my most recent experience was so bad that I canceled my membership entirely. I called because my AC stopped blowing cold air and my house had reached 87 degrees during a heat wave. The technician, Dustin, and his assistant were unfriendly from the moment they arrived. They walked through my home without permission, were dismissive when I asked questions, and I often had to ask multiple times before receiving a clear answer. At one point, a racist remark was made during the visit, which was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. What upset me most was the fear-based sales approach. I was told that my furnace/air handler had a serious issue that could cause major damage and that I needed thousands of dollars in repairs and replacement parts. The estimate I received was around $2,000. Because I was so concerned, I had the original installing company come out for a second opinion. They confirmed that the filter had been installed incorrectly, but they did not agree that the situation was an emergency requiring extensive replacement parts. They corrected the issue, flushed the system, and completed the work without the expensive repairs I had been told were necessary. I was also surprised to learn that a part I had paid for through Western was actually covered under warranty. The second company questioned why I had been charged for it at all. The most frustrating part is that Western had been servicing this system under a paid maintenance plan for years. When I asked how a major issue could have been missed during multiple inspections, I was told they do not necessarily inspect everything during each visit. That left me wondering what exactly I had been paying for all these years. When I later canceled my maintenance plan, I was informed that discounts would be removed from my estimate if I canceled, and I was told certain cancellation fees were being "waived." After seven years of paying for service, that response felt incredibly tone-deaf given the circumstances. Everyone makes mistakes. What matters is how a company handles them. Instead of accountability, I experienced poor communication, scare tactics, questionable recommendations, and a complete lack of concern for a long-term customer. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

    Sherry purchased an HVAC maintenance contract from Perfect Plumbing Heating and Air last year…read more Since she works an early shift, she asked me if I could meet the technicians for her service appointment this morning. She said they had committed to be there sometime between 8 and 11, but had told her they would try to be there at 8:00. This morning at about 7:45 AM Sherry received an email and a text message saying the technician was on his way, and both included the technician's photo. At precisely 8:00 AM, the truck pulled up to Sherry's house. I was greeted by a clean cut and professional young man named Chris, who introduced me to his trainee Colton. The first thing Chris asked is if I was OK with where he had parked his truck. Chris explained they would need access to Sherry's HVAC unit, the compressor, and the thermostat. They laid out a mat in front of the HVAC unit to catch any debris that may escape during cleaning, and when they came inside for me to show them the thermostat location, they put protective covers on their shoes. They presented me with an iPad for signatures authorizing the work they were performing, said the service would take from one to one and a half hours and that they didn't need me to stick around, and that they would leave a written report on Sherry's counter when they left. As I left, Colton was *wiping down* the inside access door of Sherry's HVAC. I'm a process guy, so when a company exhibits process perfection in their customer interaction I am confident that they will follow that process even if I'm not there to watch, and that everything else in the back of house is in order. Perfect Plumbing Heating and Air is one of those companies.
