Quoted $3100 for compressor replacement and then said I should think about replacement of the entire system (around $10K). Well I had another 3 years warranty on this system. I called the dealer who handles warranties for my Lennox system. They checked it out and there was a leaking o-ring and replaced it.Done. Fixed it for hundreds of dollars instead of thousands. Tech from Peppy could not answer questions about basic pressure. I am sure this company is great at removing and replacing whole systems!

The air conditioner works GREAT! So now we know that our junk furnace they sold us has nothing to do with our ductwork, our single pane windows, or our supposed "lack of insulation." We understand and expected that we would continue to PAY more for our heating and cooling bills, but paying more for energy has nothing to do with the furnace not heating our house efficiently. The heating system that was recommended and installed by Quality Heating is a piece of junk - there's no other way around it. The comfort consultant advised us to get a better air conditioner than furnace, which we did and that works great, but the furnace is inferior - even in our small house. The Owner, Wayne seems to be more interested in writing (or having his attorney write) 4 page documents criticizing and blaming his customers, rather than fixing the junk furnace problem. We are STILL waiting for Quality Heating to replace our furnace and actually fix the root problem. The 100% satisfaction guarantee has been an absolute joke, both on Quality's part and Carrier's part. We have a two year service agreement that came with our system and we have yet to be contacted by this company for service. However, given all of the negativity Wayne has slung our way about us as people, I wouldn't want them back in my home and I would like to see them do the right thing and transfer our service agreement to Western Heating. Wayne feels he has to bring a "witness" to protect himself when he comes to our home, so he shouldn't be shedding too many tears over transferring our agreement either. The balls in your court, Wayne. Please, no more 4 page documents rehashing the same old same old. Do your job, put your money where your mouth is and replace our furnace with one that does the job and then transfer our service agreement. The next review I'd like to write is a positive one about your company. I'd like to tell people that you actually came through and made things right.

The owner, Dennis, came to my house to give a quote which was very reasonable. The next day two employees showed up. They were nice, made me feel comfortable, and didn't waste time at my house. I'm very satisfied with my service. Dennis and his employees are very honest, friendly, and hard working.

My AC kept tripping the breaker last night even after resetting it. I'm not a "handy" man by any…read moremeans, so instead of trying to diagnose the problem and potentially burning down my house or killing myself in the process, decided I'd call a professional just in case it was due to an issue with my unit. Not surprisingly, every HVAC company I called was booked solid, and others didn't even bother calling me back. Thank God Day Aire came through in the clutch. Dennis called me back right after I left a message on the answering machine and said he'd send a technician out by late morning. Around 2 hours later the HVAC tech, John, called me to say he was on his way. I was weary he'd try to convince me that I'd need to buy a new unit since mine is close to 30 years old, but he basically went through the list of differentials and started with the easiest fix first. After checking the outdoor unit's output and the furnace, he narrowed it down to a faulty breaker (what I initially thought too). After swapping the breaker out, he stayed around for another 20 minutes to make sure it wouldn't trip again, gave me his personal number in case the thing shut down after he left and even said he wouldn't charge me additional diagnostic fees if he had to come back. Overall I'm very satisfied with the service. Only negative is that at $79, it's about 30 bucks more for a diagnostic than another company I've used in the past that also provides great service, but unfortunately couldn't send out a guy till tomorrow. After a 7 year relationship with Drake Mechanical I am discontinuing their Maintenance Program…read moreafter the following occurrence: During my Fall pre paid maintenance visit the technician told me I needed to replace a capacitor ($10 item) in my furnace with a charge of $270+. I questioned the amount and ended up speaking to the office manager who said it was not negotiable despite it was done during my routine maintenance visit, with some nonsense about travel expenses etc. The tech was already at my house! This appears to be a blatant attempt to take advantage of an elderly woman who was smart enough to look up the price of the part. I am cancelling their maintenance program and warn others to question their practices. This greatly saddens me, but the lack of response by this company forces me to stop doing business with them.
