I spent a lot of time sifting through reviews to find D & N. There seem to be a lot of companies that ghost people who have small residential jobs like mine and I just don't have time for that. I also don't like flat fees for inspections which can be a rip off, I like the we just charge per hour arrangements. I requested a house inspection with a focus on certain quirky electrical items in my place. Diego installed a cover on the stove outlet, replaced the fridge outlet and checked behind my dishwasher to make sure the electrical was OK. He also inspected the breaker box, doorbell, and pendant lighting. Brought his own shoe covers and left the place clean. Recommended their own drywall guy to seal the wall, who was also great and conscientious. Did not upsell. On time, courteous and professional. My research paid off. I now have an electrician I can trust in case of an emergency! read more

Had an issue with part of my house not being grounded. Called and made an appointment for 3 days later. 5 minutes after making the appointment Rudy calls me back and had all of the info on my particular neighborhood (build dates, history of wiring, etc.). The knowledge that he brought to the conversation and shared with me was impressive. The technician arrived on time (I did not get his name but he was very professional) and got to work right away. Diagnosed and repaired with minimal "damage". I say damage because, yes, a wall had to be opened but he only opened exactly what was needed and then put the removed piece back in place. Yoooo! Rudy came through clutch. We had an incident last night. This was our first weekend in our new home and I hadn't had a chance to get the exterior security set up yet. Some unknown person came up to our door twice trying to open it. Luckily, we have dope neighbors .. but this about Rudy! I reached out to a few contractors to come out and replace our flood light with a new one with a camera (bought it from Best Buy this morning) and Rudy cane out a and got us hooked up super quick. I manage a veterinary hospital and we just used D&N at our clinic and they were AMAZING. A piece for our dental machine shorted and they were able to come out, tell us what we needed to order for it to be fixed (which totally saved us money), then came out and fixed it when we received the part. Along with fixing our dental scaler, they also fixed two light fixtures in our exam room hallway that we've had a very hard time with. Proactive and responsive! I reached out to D&N for help with an issue I wasn't very familiar with - we're based in LA and needed work done at a commercial property in Chula Vista. Rick quickly inspected the site, patiently explained his findings, and worked with us based on the tenant's concerns about breaker installation for a non-functioning AC unit. He even went out of his way to speak directly with the HVAC company to gather feedback. Pricing was reasonable, and once the agreement was in place, Rick got it done. Excellent organization. We found them on Yelp and so glad we hired them! We have ground landscape lighting around our pool area and 4 lights went out. The lights are surrounded by concrete, so getting to the wiring was tricky. We had our contractor's electrician try to fix it a couple of years ago and he was able to temporarily fix it but they went out again. That same electrician said that he wouldn't be able to fix it and the solution was to cut up the concrete to replace the wiring or the fixture. Because that wasn't worth it to us at the time we just left it alone. Fast forward a couple of years later, I wanted to get a second opinion and D&N came through. They rewired the lights by going through the grout between the slabs. The lights work flawlessly now and it was a lot less traumatic to our backyard than having to chisel through concrete and having to replace the concrete. read more

These guys are top notch. They were contracted by our property manager to resolve a breaker issue that had been a concern for well over a year. The previous business had replaced the breaker which was what they were requested to do, although it did not resolve the issue in the long term. In comes Chris, Rick, and one other guy (sorry I can't recall your name, bud). They assessed the issue to see that the age-old breaker box with a single 30AMP breaker just wasn't going to cut it. Instead of coming in for a quick fix and be done with it, they went above and beyond and called my property manager to request permission to re-wire the breaker and assure this issue be resolved the right way (something you rarely see anymore). They then proceeded to climb in, around, and through some irritatingly small spaces to run power throughout my over 100 year old home (with what I imagine to be the original breaker setup). After installing several new breakers and breaker box, the power source in our house is now "up to code" and we no longer have surges when we use our microwave (amongst numerous other power issues we used to constantly have). That was on June 16th, just shy of a month ago, and there hasn't been even the slightest indication of a problem. To put it plainly, the job was done more than "just right". They could have done what the last company did but they took the extra steps and they did a damn good job. I'd hire these guys for anything electrical related. read more

Our final bill was very detailed with the cost of every electrical part used, along with labor costs...and the final cost was less expensive than the initial estimate. I had a smoke detector that was chirping over my Queen size bed. Sadly my ceilings are 12-14ft and I was unable to reach. I picked up a business card for D&N from Meanley Hardware and couldn't be happier with my call. Joe answered my call and was very sympathetic to my problem. He made his best effort to send one of his electricians, Logan the next day. Logan was friendly, knowledgeable and within an hour my chirper was gone.
