Amazing!We found a kitten stuck up high in a tree after exhausting all our efforts trying to get help I called and wonderful Robin answered and said all his workers were gone for the day but he promised to see what he could do to help. My experience with "Right Way Tree Service" - particularly with the Owner, Robin, was negative, and in my opinion and experience, this owner was dishonest and a poor communicator. When I called and specifically asked Robin if he had a "Cherry Picker" - he said, "Yes." This is a device, usually mounted on a Truck which elevates the tree trimmer high up - so he/she can stand on the platform and easily trim the tree. I had a very tall, approximately 50-60 ft. tall, bunch of Ficus trees which needed to be cut a lot shorter and less wide. I was told that the best way to do this, was to use a "Cherry Picker." Robin gave me a bid for doing the job - using this device, and I approved his bid to do the work on 6/17/23. However, he came back with someone who said they could do the job without the device - by having a man climb the tree (which seemed dangerous), instead! When I asked Robin why he wouldn't use his "Cherry Picker" - he admitted that he would have to "rent one" and "get up early to drive it over!" So, the truth was - he did Not have this device - like he said he did on the phone! When I asked Robin if he could lower the cost for the job - since all the companies I called, who did not have this device, charged a lot less than the ones who did - He refused to lower the price! Next, when he was working at my house, he was supposed to "trim" a couple of smaller trees next to my driveway but he trimmed one tree lower than the other one and refused to "even-out" the height of the two trees unless I paid him more money! I now regret that I paid him an "extra" $100 - just to make these two trees look "even"! Last but not least, I asked Robin if he pays a "Referral Fee" - if I refer him to anyone who then, hires him to do work - and he said, "Yes" he would pay me a "Referral Fee" of "!0% of whatever the job cost." At the end of my job, I walked him over to a neighbor of mine and asked my neighbor if he'd like Robin's company to do some "haul away and tree trimming" for him and he said, "Yes" and in fact, hired "Right Way Tree Service" to work for him one week later! When I asked Robin to send me my "10% Referral Fee," as promised, he texted me that, "we're going to be stopping the referral fee because some jobs we don't make anything" (which seemed "odd," considering the fact that he was paid by both myself and my neighbor, almost $2,000 each - for approximately 4-5 hours of tree service!) and he offered to send me approximately a "4% fee" at that time. I believe the correct and honest thing to do - was to pay me the 10% fee, as promised, and then, he could have discontinued paying a "Referral Fee" if he wished, afterwards! The fact is - Robin sent me nothing at all and blocked me from calling him (as I could never reach him again). I do NOT recommend hiring Robin and his company to do "tree service" for anyone - after the negative and dishonest way he did business with and treated me - his customer. read more

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with Robin. I hired him to remove a big Yucca tree and its stump/ root. He left me with a huge muddy mess in my yard made up of grinded tree parts and dirt that he had used to cover much of the stump and root. I was told by other tree professionals who saw it afterwards that he should have hauled all of the tree parts in the first place, not grinding it into an unusable, mosquito attracting mud heap leaving behind large amounts of stump/rootball hidden underneath. He admitted he made a mistake and did come back and removed the remaining stump rootball only after I cleared it off myself to expose what was underneath. I am a 70 year old woman. He ultimately refused to haul off the huge muddy mess he made leaving me to deal with it. I was given an estimate of $600 to clean up his mess after paying him $900.
