I finally went in under the guise of getting all this help, new programs to help me get into a better payment, etc. I hate having my time wasted and wasting other people's time. I told them from the start there was no point in coming in but they push and push and push and promise that they have all these incentives one could qualify for in order to get top dollar for my trade (on top of being a GM Legacy potential deal as my dad worked for GM). I bought this car through a customer service repair associate (after a previous terrible experience). Previously, I was able to use my warranties as down payments. Now, Stoops has a new owner and because it isn't the "old Stoops" I could only get cash back after my trade in. I couldn't use that same cash back toward a down payment meaning my payment would still be sky high. This is ridiculous and I am highly upset. I was told my credit was fine and I could be approved but there was nothing they could do about keeping me at a better (or even the same) payment. I also had an email about $7/down. Also false advertising that they like to hit you with in order to get you inside and waste your time.

ATTENTION FRIENDS!…read more DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM MIDSTATE AUTO IN MUNCIE, IN. I had purchased a 2001 Chrysler Concorde from Midstate AUTO on February 12, 2015. It is in good condition and only 62,000 miles. After driving it 2 weeks a saw that there was an oil leak under the car. After further inspection I found out that someone had put silicone over the cracks on the valve covers. I notified the dealership and after leaving multiple messages and emails the dealership said that they would not help out and fix the problem. As they put it "That's why we sell as is". Now I'm going to have to spend about $200 of my own money and use my own time to fix the problem that Midstate Auto should have fixed in the first place. Please share so that shady dealerships like this one can get out of Muncie and nice respectable dealerships can move in. Would have gotten zero stars if it was able.

Along the way I found some shady dealerships, and sales people that had no clue, and cars that were not up to my standards. On their site there was a beautiful Z06 for sale, of course I still needed to see this car in person. Before investing time and effort I read the reviews and they were ALL positive, so I decided to contact them. A couple hours later Ryan the owner calls me, we discuss the car and setup a time for me to go check it out. Next I make my way to Muncie, IN. The car was outside waiting for me, Ryan allowed me to inspect it and answered all my questions and concerns, we take it out for a test drive and WOW!!! I pulled the trigger and bought the car. I could've been in and outta there in under 30 minutes but Ryan and I hit it off talking about cars and all sorts of other topics, felt like I was talking to a lifelong friend. He helped me do a quick photo shoot of the car, so I could send pics to family and friends back home. They said they would do all of that for us. After purchasing the car, my husband put gas in it and it wouldn't start. We told them about that and the power steering issue. They said they would fix it. Mind you, we also bought a warranty plan through them for $660. Come to find out, the water pump and power steering need replaced. Warranty does cover it but they only paid $249 for the warranty. When I called them about this, they said that they up-charge the cost of the warranty in case they need to fix something. They did get us the $2 knobs and a burnt navigation disc that didn't work and completely wiped out the radio and it had be reset. No carpets and they told me that they would have never told me they would pay for an extra key and remote and asked if I had it in writing. No, I didn't, because I took their word for it. Ron, the owner doesn't stand by his word and I would never send someone to him again.

I had decided that I wanted a Kia Telluride, and test drove one at a Carmel Kia dealership. However, I was told the price would be $5500.00 over MSRP. I also didn't care for the high pressure sales tactics at that dealership. So I left, and logged in to the Costco auto program to find another dealership. Five minutes later I found Kia of Muncie on the Costco auto site. I submitted a request and just a few minutes later I received an email from Lucas Boehm. We exchanged a few emails, and then after one short phone conversation I had ordered my 2021 Kia Telluride. I can't recommend Lucas highly enough! He promptly responded to each of my emails, and emailed me regularly to keep me informed on the progress of my vehicle. When I picked up my vehicle the financing process was simple and straightforward. I feel that I was given a very fair price on the vehicle I traded in. In the two weeks since I purchased my Telluride I have been contacted a few times to make sure everything was going well and to ask if I had any questions. I paid $6,600 less for my Telluride at Kia of Muncie than I would have paid for the same vehicle at the Kia dealership that is practically in my back yard. No joke.
