We've been back a second time now, and honestly that matters more to me than a great first visit. This still feels like a place trying to do more than the standard strip mall pizza formula without charging like it's trying to be Pizzeria Bianco. That's a good lane to be in. My wife and I have now tried a couple different pizzas here. The regular pepperoni was solid from the start, but on this visit we also tried an inverted-style pepperoni pizza they're apparently still testing and not even listing on the menu yet. It was extremely garlic forward. I loved it, but I can absolutely see it being divisive if you're not a garlic person. For me, though, it worked. Big flavor, crispy pepperoni edges, and something different from the usual pizza lineup. The crust still had that slightly charred wood-fired taste that feels intentional instead of overdone, and the ingredients again tasted fresh instead of like they'd been sitting around all day. We skipped the wings this time, but they honestly still deserve a mention because they were the standout from our first visit. Good crisp, sauce actually stuck to them, and the flavor came through instead of feeling like an afterthought. A lot of pizza places treat wings like filler menu items. These didn't. Owner was there again and clearly involved in what's coming out of the kitchen. In this case, that seems to be a positive. Overall, after two visits, this place feels like it has personality. We have become regulars here. Overall the pizza has been good. However the quality has really gone downhill and there's no consistency with the food. We ordered a cheese pizza and bread sticks today and they were both not cooked enough and the pizza had a hole in it. The food tasted like something had burned in the oven and then didn't scrape it off before cooking new food. Pizza had an uneven distribution of cheese and it tasted worse than a frozen pizza. Soooo frustrated! I work right around the corner. A few of us went to order lunch today and they weren't answering. They didn't answer their phone. They didn't have anything on their website saying they are closed. We walked over there and someone was inside but didn't answer their phone door. Ambiance (3/5): Rihanas is a no-frills pizza joint. Which I'm all for. They have 10 or so tables inside, and on my most recent visit, there was a projector screen playing some college basketball. More of a grab-and-go spot in my mind, but you can also dine in if you prefer. Service (3/5): I've placed my order over the phone both times, and my pizza was available within the time frame promised. There's a Groupon deal for a large pizza and two soft drinks that I've redeemed on both occasions. The first time, the guy working the cash register had trouble figuring things out. Luckily, the owner was there and provided assistance. The second time around, the same guy knew what to do, although he wasn't very friendly. Drinks (3/5): They have cans in a mini fridge. Mostly soft drinks. Including some options you don't see very often like Squirt. Food (4.5/5): Now to the star of the show...the 'za! Rihanas Pizza & Wings is interesting in that it's halal. I've had a large pepperoni pizza both times. And I've been satisfied all-around. There are a good number of pepperonis on the pizza, the pizza pie is a good sauce, and quality ingredients are used. It is clear that a keen eye for cleanliness is at work. The owner and employees are charming people who own care about the quality of their food. They both took the time about "halal" They also agreed to make my food fresh before they close which I was amazed as I did not rea they were about to close! My overall impression is a very positive thumbs up for Rihana's. The food is quality, and they give you a quick service. Every person we dealt with was polite and personable. The food was very good. It was delivered a bit earlier than anticipated which was awesome! Only took about 30 minutes from when we ordered to arrive. The crust was very fluffy which was good but I wish there was a little less crust and a little more sauce and cheese. My husband wasn't a huge fan of the sauce but I thought it was fine! I didn't realize this place was around until last night, I decided to give it a try. I have to admit, it's one of the best pizzas I ever had, the dough and the crust did not seem heavy, and didn't feel like I was choking or needing to drink excess amount of fluid just to digest the pizza delicious. I am very picky about my pizza as anyone who knows me can attest too. I started donating blood in July in the same strip mall center. I will stop in here every now and again when I know I need food to make the drive home. It is a nice little neighborhood joint. They have a good lunch special if you are not starving. 2 slices and a drink for 5 bucks or so. I think 4.99. I do have to say though to be fair the slices are very small and the pizza is just average. Nothing really to write home about. With that said though, this works out well for me. However, if you are a big eater you mght leave hungry. I also like their cookies. I like the people working here. They are always very nice and helpful to me when I come in. I will definitely go back to try some of their other dishes and Sammies. Oh my. So Sardellas used to be here and they must have sold to Rhianas. Ok copy, we'll try it. (We used to really like Sardellas) Terrible for so many different reasons. 1. Bad pizza. We got two pizzas, 1 lrg pepperoni and 1lrg with no cheese and some toppings. They were both under baked. They did not taste good. The three kids didnt Like any didn't want to eat anymore. The flavor was bad. Like the old peter piper pizza and the old little Caesars pizza. Low quality. 2. $10 for boneless wings (only 5) and no carrots, no celery, no blue cheese or ranch. The flavor was okay, nothing special. Overpriced and not enough. 3. We were charged twice. Once online and then once in person. When we went to dispute the charge they made another mistake and refunded us the wrong amount. So they they still owe us money back ... 4. It appears to me that someone wanted to buy a pizza shop but has no actual experience on how to make pizza or how to run operations. 5. The wife and I got bad belly aches that whole night after eating the food. Since we didn't eat anything else, it had to be from either the pizza or the wings, not sure. But that was not fun. I didn't eat inside or use the bathrooms, so I can't say anything about the tables, service or bathrooms. Overall a terrible experience and we paid a lot. I could have gone to Papa johns for cheaper and better. Maybe in the future we might try again if they change some things up, but not for a while! read more
