Maaaannnnn so far best pizza we've had since moving here. We got the butcher which had salami, bacon, pepperoni, crumbled sausage. Flavor bomb, crust was on point. Im not a fan of baked wings and these were super tasty, the hot actually had spice to it amd the garlic bread was great. Fresh garlic, not powdered and damn was A1. To cap it off they had the biggest rice crispy treats I've seen in a while and oh so good. Not as good as mine but a close second . Definitely our new favorite spot for pizza. Staff was busy but were still friendly. Very small establishment, they do have limited seating and also sell by slices. Very quiet spot. read more

Holy Pizza!! Was recommended by a friend so when in the area we had to try it and take a few home as we had the teen nephews with us who are pizza fanatics ! Now I am weird I admit it, pizza isn't usually my "go to" it's okay but not my favorite. Having said that, Stump's is buried in a strip mall so drive too fast and you'll miss it! You pretty much have to know it's there and trust me you'll be glad you did! Interior is small and simple pretty much full when we came in so that was a good sign. Staff was extremely friendly. One pizza was one with basically every meat imaginable and it was tasty with quality ingredients, now the star of the show we went out on a limb and got the WINGDING ! WOW!!!!! Blue cheese base, chicken breast, wing sauce and two kinds of cheeses including Gorgonzola. It was like a zesty buffalo chicken sandwich in a pizza. The sauce was not overpowering just a nice kick, blue cheese also not overpowering.....I think I have a new favorite pizza! Let's talk crust ....I usually get thin crust or just don't eat it. Theirs is not thin but it's not thick it's pretty much perfect : great flavor I don't know what they dust it with. I will be back again ....Maybe 10 times who knows. read more

Stopped by Stumpy's for a pizza to go. There was a lot of employees working and all looked so happy and like they genuinely loved their jobs. Customer service was quick and friendly. We got an extra mushroom pizza and most places are so skimpy with toppings I figured Stumpys would be too. No! They really gave us extra mushrooms and the pizza was so tasty!! The crust was crispy at the bottom as it should be and the sauce was flavorful. We will definitely be back to get another pizza and try their other foods offered! read more

We ordered delivery and it arrived within an hour. Delivery person was friendly and waited for 5 mins as we didn't realize they'd arrived. We were outback playing uno. Everyone really enjoyed the BBQ pizza, can see why it's "world famous". Loads of toppings, great flavor, crust was perfectly crispy. Stumpy's was brought to my attention by a friend. He swore the sandwiches are delicious and the pizza slices are flying out the door during the lunch service. Although a small space, this place has a constant flow of hungry patrons. The 6-7 tables are crowded but the take service is booming. We ordered the large butcher pizza with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, salami and sausage. It was hard to see the crust due to the more than generous quantities of toppings. I have never had a pizza stacked with more ingredients. The dough was nicely cooked with the perfect chew. It was definitely a pleasant surprise. If you are looking for a new pizza joint with a very good product, friendly staff and bold flavors, give Stumpy's a call. I have been hearing about this place, so I decided to stop in today and check it out. It is a smaller place but very homely and great smelling aroma. The counter and kitchen are attached and you have to walk up to counter to order. Seating is limited but available (we walked in with a big party and all found sitting). We ordered the lunch special 2 slices with pepperoni's and a drink, and a dozen wings mild. The pizza was fast the wings took about 20 minutes, everything was made fresh as you order. Everything we ate was really good and fresh. If given the chance you should stop in and give it a try. read more

3.5 Stars. My Brother in law and Son did a quick little pizza tour of Phoenix. We went to 5 different places, and grabbed a slice from each. Stumpy's ranked #4 of 5 on our tour. Went with a slice of cheese to split with my Son. Wasn't sure how full we would be, and had more spots to go to. Probably could have had my own slice. Small place, friendly workers! How was the slice? Eh, it was ok. Gave it a 6.9 out of 10. Thin, gooey cheese, minimal crust and the crust had no chew and tasted plain jane. My Brother in law got a slice of pepperoni/pineapple. He thought it was just ok, also. If I lived close to this place, I would try it again, and order something with more toppings. The pizzas around us looked pretty good! Loved the customer service and ambiance! Quaint and laid back pizza joint. I have been looking for good pizza while in Phoenix. Stumpy's did not disappoint me. At first, the first young lady was not customer friendly but someone (do not know her name) came in and saved the day with 1000% excellent customer service and a people friendly attitude. I would hire her on the spot if I owned my own business. She even pronounced my name correctly and offered me utensils after bringing my pizza to me without calling my name to come pick it up. She saved my visit. Just one recommendation :), show this type of customer service upon the first interaction (but hey everyone has bad days). Pizza - pictures speak for themselves. Stumpy's is a north central Phoenix legend! They offer terrific single slice lunch specials. Although the pizza and wings are outstanding (Friday night favorite for me), their hot Italian sandwich is the best in Phoenix (hint, get it with everything). Seriously, if you like hot Italian (I guess cold would be just as good) sandwiches, you really need to try this one. They can get very busy, so call ahead, and call early! I used to eat at Stumpy's at least twice a week. I live in the far North valley now but every time I'm in the area I come here and get a samich. And every time its BOMB!. The last time I was in the area they were closed (Monday) but the owners were inside preparing for the week. Stumpy's is a neighborhood masterpiece pizza and sandwich spot. I visit the restaurant at least twice a week and love the slices and sandwiches. The slice preparation and consistency is perfect as they come out hot, crispy and delicious every time. The sandwiches are the same level of amazing and are truly remarkable in quality and consistency. Stumpy's is obviously a family run establishment and the pride they take it their craft shines through with every visit. The service is excellent and if you go visit a couple of times they remember your name and what you order and treat you like a welcome friend. The restaurant is small but very comfortable and relaxed. It is not fancy "date night" spot but perfect for when you want a tasty treat or amazing take out. I wish I could give it 6 Stars. This food was so good. even the salad was delicious. Small restaurant within a strip mall. Smell when you walk in is amazing. I grew up in a small Italian town and this made me think of where I grew up in Michigan. So delicious! Highly recommend!!! You can get two slices of pizza with two tops and a drink. $11.75 +$3 if you want to add a salad. The tea is so good too! Staff is super nice and on top of everything. The cheese is one of the best. And the rest of the ingredients are just so tasty! We also had a few salads and they are fresh cold and crisp. The ranch is on point too! We stopped here today for the French dip that is raved about by many. We got the French dip to go and had a picnic in the park. When you first unwrap the French dip you get an aroma of garlic. I feel like they make their French dips with garlic bread. I love garlic but it was definitely a first to have a French dip on garlic bread. The meat I found to be cut thicker than I'm used to but it was tasty. The au jus was perfect though. It wasn't too salt or bland. While I don't understand the hype, it was a decent sandwich. And I like the garlic aspect minus the greasiness from the butter. It seemed soaked in butter which to me is off putting and takes away from the original concept and composition of a true French dip. read more
