I had a great experience here, Cathy was awesome! Super friendly and accommodating. She shaped my nails perfectly despite them being very short. She was efficient, but also really took the time to make sure I was getting a quality manicure that I was happy with. She did an extra coat of color just to make sure the polish was opaque to my liking. All while answering the phone and helping delegate the other technicians on the floor. Someone give this woman a raise! I would recommend calling ahead here, they were a bit busy for a Tuesday morning, but very kindly squeezed me in. The space was clean and inviting, and the parking lot is free. They have a lot of polish options, even the Dazzle Dry polish I had to call several stores in the area before finally finding here. 10/10 would reccomend. read more

Booked my appointment on July 4th to get a mani/pedi they were very accommodating in getting me in! Very nice and friendly. The facility was very clean as well. I do have to say for the amount of money I paid for my services I would had hoped for it to last and be better than it was. My polish on my nails was coming off the very next day. The polish could have been applied a little better on both my hands and feet. My nails now have so many hang nails and messed up cuticles. I would have hoped for a better quality of service since it was the most expensive mani/pedi I've ever paid for. read more

$110 down the drain. I got an extension set with gel last sunday and my middle finger nail has already broke off twice. I had to superglue it back on and then put clear polish over the nail. Plus, I got absolutely terrible service and a terrible attitude from the woman who did them. When I would ask for her to fix something, she would get incredibly irritated. Obviously I am going to ask for imperfections to be fixed if im paying $95 at a base price. I ended up just not asking for anything else to be fixed because I was getting scared, to be honest. Made an appointment with Katy and she wasn't available to manage my scheduled appointment so she gave me a quick manicure. I went today and it was amazing. I made an appointment for 3:30pm and when I got there they took me right away. I got a gel pedicure with calus removal and a 15 minute massage and the whole thing from start to finish was heaven. I'm currently 38 weeks pregnant and haven't gone to a salon to do a pedicure since the pandemic started. I've been painting my toes on my own the whole time but at this stage in my pregnancy it is impossible to do my own feet! I paid $85 in total and it was worth every penny. Olga was so amazing. Ive come here once before, it was expensive but i had a good experience. Im not sure if its new employees or what but i felt the pedicure i got was literally the worst one ive ever gotten. (I grew up in westfield im used to decent quality salons) The woman barely clipped my nails, got my cuticles and when she rubbed my feet it felt like she was trying her absolute least. Im not sure if its because its 4 and shes had a long day but for the money youre better off going down the road to scotch plains, for $50 and a headache i would have been better doing my own nails. read more

Just had my nails done for my son's micro wedding and am so disappointed. Looking at my nails with my glasses on, I can see they did not apply the top coat on the entire nail so I have ridges rather than smooth nails. This was my go to nail salon but it looks like there are new owners. Was not relaxing and my nails will look bad for wedding and no time to go elsewhere. I won't be back. read more

I have been a customer at Riju Nails since Michelle took over the business formerly known as Tea Nails. The salon is always spotless, and customers are treated pleasantly and by name if they are known by the staff. The manicures are always well done, but was inspired to write a review after just having a facial done by the owner, Michelle. She really took her time with me, using great techniques and a number of great products. My face hasn't felt this clean and smooth in a long time. The service included a great arm and neck massage, and as always, Michellle's strong and knowledgable hands left me quite relaxed. Other reviews mentioned high prices. I've never ever been charged more than the prices posted in the salon. No, they are not cheap...... I really wanted to love this place. After reading all the reviews online, I was finally back in town to give this place a try. I went in for a pedicure with my boyfriend and was immediately asked if I wanted an extra massage, which I said yes to, but only one of us was given the said massage (hint: it was not me.). The woman who did my pedicure barely rubbed my feet - very disappointing to say the least, seeing as how the rub down is THE best part! Afterwards, another woman came over to paint my nails/finish me up. My polish is all streaky and uneven, worst part is I didn't notice until I was halfway down the road. I probably will not be back. My husband and I have been coming to Riju for pedicures and manicures for the better part of 5 years now. I really appreciate Michelle and her staff, and her dedication to pleasing her customers. How we happened to find this salon is a story in itself. On a Thursday evening about 5 years ago, around 6 PM, my husband grabbed me and said that we should go get pedicures. We went to the salon to which we always went, and they turned us away citing that they close at 7 PM and won't have time to do us. We went to about 7 other salons in the Westfield, Scotch Plains, and Fanwood area and got the same story from all of them. We went to Riju, and on their door, it says they close at 7PM but when we asked if they could take us, they cheerfully agreed, did the pedicures and did not rush us, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We left about 8 PM and we have been going there ever since. I have found that if you tell them what you want and what experience you expect, they will accommodate you. Remember, these people are trying to earn a living wage. You get what you pay for. They may not be the least expensive salon in town, but they are clean, sanitary, skilled, and friendly, and for that, I am willing to pay a bit more. read more

I recently moved to Westfield and decided to try this place as my old nail place is a bit far away. I was barely acknowledged when I walked in, but needed my nails done desperately so decided to stay. I have pink and white gel on my nails and just needed a pink fill. They proceeded to put clear gel to fill my nails and when I told them again that I have pink gel they said not to worry and that it would blend. Well it did not blend and looked terrible. I mentioned multiple times during the fill that it does not match and they told me to wait until the end. I was so annoyed I paid and walked out. When I got into the sunlight and saw the atrocity that was my nails I got annoyed all over again. It didn't even look like I got anything done so it was literally $40 down the drain. Since it was clear gel that was used you could literally see the growth and they just looked awful. If this was a somewhat decent nail place you should know that you can't use clear gel to fill over pink gel!! Fast forward a few days later and my nails are lifting and cracking all over the place near the cuticle. TERRIBLE! Stay away! read more

I have been to this nail salon beore, but haven't been compelled to right a review until my most recent trip. The salon is nice overall and the staff are friendly and accommodating, however, my issue is with their pricing. When I had finished with my gel manicure, pedicure, and 10 minute massage, I was told by one of the staff who performed the services that the price was $69. She even wrote the pricing down on a ticket. When I went to the register to pay, the owner Michelle rang me up and told me that the price was $84. I asked her to break down the pricing of each service and was surprised that it was much more than other salons in the area. I did not argue as I should have confirmed the pricing up front, but I would advise others that are new to the salon to confirm the pricing of the services before beginning them. Also, the staff and owner should be aligned on the pricing as it seems kind of shady when the cost of your services goes up by $15 when you hit the register.
