We've gotten takeout a couple of times from Yori - more recently we combined it with French fries from McDonald's. We go back to the polar bear roll over and over, it's crunchy and just the right amount of spicy, so delicious - a must try! They had an increase of popularity from a local food vlogger & I believe that caused the prices to increase with their sushi tacos. Flame sushi, and I mean FLAME. The color and freshness of the fish made a big impression, plus really nice, pure flavors. Service was ok. The interior is dark with a blend of table and bar seating. The bathrooms, however, leave much to be desired. I requested a custom roll- a spicy salmon lovers roll *deep fried in tempura* with salmon on top and no eel sauce. I feel the price, crunch factor and the actual stuff in the sushi tacos is what made it so incredibly delicious and honestly if I ate like 6 of them that could be a meal. I love this little place for a quick, delicious meal! It's close to my house, there's never a parking problem and you can order from a kiosk for takeout. My favorite order is California Shrimp Roll and Shrimp Ebi. The seafood is super fresh and the accompanying veggies are crisp and the avocado creamy. You get a good size portion for the price and it is very fast for takeout. I've not eaten in the restaurant yet, but the atmosphere seems chill. As someone who eats sushi frequently, I was very disappointed by the quality here. The salmon did not taste fresh, and the appetizers were overly oily. However, the most upsetting part of the visit was seeing how the staff were treated. The management was unprofessional and handled internal issues right in front of diners, creating a very uncomfortable atmosphere. Ambience, none. Location, meh, in a dying strip shopping center. But the food here is very good and we were highly impressed. Also the service was excellent. We ordered several sushi rolls, including Caterpillar. But the thing we loved most was the noodle dish, Yakitori Udon. It was phenomenal! It had vegetables and fish cakes in it, with a kind of charred taste that was delicious. It was a big surprise and was definitely the star of the night. It would be easy to miss this place as it's tucked away amid so many stores that are closed in this center. But if you live in the area, or are passing through, you won't be disappointed. I went with my daughter and we had an absolutely amazing dinner. The cucumber-wrapped California rolls were so fresh and flavorful that I ended up buying three more to take home. I also picked up a sashimi combo for my husband--though it's not in the photo, he loved it so much that it made me really happy. My daughter enjoyed edamame, agedashi tofu, dumplings, and udon, and her smile never faded when they brought her a complimentary drink. Since I'm a fan of spicy food, I had the jjamppong, which was perfectly satisfying. The next day for lunch, I enjoyed the rolls and spicy crab salad I had bought the day before--they were so delicious that I forgot to take a picture until I had a couple of bites. Oh my where do I start... how about not calling your customers a bunch of middle schoolers when they walk in the door. Service was abysmal, told us he didn't know who ordered what and just threw our food on the table. Came here with the family for dinner. We've been reviewing the menu for some time, so we knew what we were going to get. We got the following for four people: Tempura-Shrimp Korean Spicy Udon (Jjampong) - not spicy, bland Jajangmyeon (black bean noodle) - very sweet, watery. Tuna Party House Salad Korean King Katsu Bento Deluxe - with Bulogi, sushi and crazy dragon roll Sashimi - Yellowtail, Surf Clam, egg Nigiri - Eel Okay, here's my thoughts on each of the items. Tuna Party, Sashimi & Nigiri - come here for sushi. Their prices are very reasonable. As a tuna lover, the tuna party was excellent option. Yellow tail, clam and eels were good as well. Bento Deluxe - this came with veggie/shrimp tempura, bulgogi, salad, 3 pcs of sushi and crazy dragon roll ($28). This is actually a lot of food for single person, definitely for two people. If I could recommend, skip bulgogi as the meat was tough and there were more veggies than meat itself. Tempura - they have shrimp, calamari, and vegetables. They do not have a mixed version - like veggies and two shrimps - so you'll need to order two items - one shrimp and the other veggies. I don't understand why they don't have veggies and shrimp tempura - please add it to the menu. Korean King Katsu - pork cutlet with dipping sauce, cabbage salad with 1000 island, rice, and three side items - fish cake, soybean sprouts and kimchi. This is something you can make at home, decent. Nothing special to write home about. Korean Spicy Udon - this is their version of Jjampong (spicy seafood noodles). It was not spicy at all, nephew said it tasted different than one he had few weeks ago. It's served with udon noodles, which had a different texture, but the concept was good. However, the veggies could use more "fire" taste, could have used more chili powder to give it more kick to the dish. Jajangmyeong - black bean noodles - it's served over udon noodles. I laughed as I ate this as the sauce was too sweet and it was very watery. The dish could be good if 1) sauce was thicken up, 2) reduce the amount of sugar used and 3) use fatty pork meat. The pork meat in this dish was tough to chew. House salad was decent. Only one server was working, managing all the tables. When we got here, two tables were occupied - one table with party of 2 - finishing up their meal and second table with party of 8 and they were just finishing up ordering their food. The party of 8 ordered a lot (saw 2 sushi boats), thus it took a while for the server to take our order. Not sure about other times, but looks like order is taken per table, food served, then order is taken at the next table, hopefully they find more help. The server kept it cool, apologized for the delay and thanked us for our patience. Yeah, give yourself some extra time and be courteous to the servers. This place is Korean-Japanese restaurant and they do give you some Korean banchans, granted they are all packaged in 4oz containers. Not sure if this is because of covid, but some of their banchans been sitting in the fridge too long. Overall, decent joint, as I stated, definitely come here for their sushi. read more

Entrance is narrow by the hostess counter. We ordered a dynamite roll, crab cake roll, california Philly roll, Korean fried boneless chicken in spicy sauce, 2 house ginger salad, spicy crab salad. The boneless chicken wings in spicy sauce were not for me, the meat was dark, fatty and the pieces weren't the typical Korean crispy I was expecting at all. It wasn't worth $11 to me at all. The ginger salads were good, had mixed greens. The dressing was nice. The crab salad was okay, not so special. The california Philly rolls were so-so. The dynamite roll was tasty. The crab cake roll was the better of the 3 rolls. Nice crab tempura, nice flavor and combo for sure. Our dishes sat at our table from the appetizer to meal. My partner and I decided to try out Yori since there were dine ins and reviews were good. Very friendly staffs. Lots of tables to dine in. Environment appears clean. We ordered a Salmon on Cali Roll, Tempura Udon, and Bulgolgi Bibimbap. Very generous portion and appealing display. The sushi rolls were unique looking and rolls were quite big; which we appreciate. I felt like my udon had small amount of noodles, compared to other places that I've been to; given the price. We also felt like all our dishes lacked flavors. A bit plain tasting (could be a looot more flavorful) and food felt just 'warm' instead of it being fresh and hot. We were the only ones dining in, but in their defense, they did have quite a few pick up orders. Do recommend trying this place out for their sushi though. Wish I took a pic but we devoured it pretty quickly. if we're in the area again we'll definitely come back for their sushi, and maybe try their entrees again to see if there's improvement! read more

I'm not the biggest fan of raw fish sushi. Not for any food safety concerns, just my palette does not care for the flavor nor texture of raw fish. So happy to find that Yori offers a very large selection of different types of cooked / fried fish sushi. I ordered four different types cooked /fried fish sushi and was so so delicious! Definitely my new sushi place! Also, the Beef Bibimbap is outstanding! The beef has a wonderful marinade and the portion is generous for the price. read more

If you plan on ordering the bibimbap, be warned that they're only able to serve you the meal in a hot stone. I got the bulgogi as my protein and was served quickly with wonderful display and taste but because of the stone's immense heat, the rice practically fried up into a bits that were very difficult to chew. Don't let that stop you though. Ask for a spare large bowl and just transfer it as soon as you can... it is best eaten when mixed well anyway. :) I came with three family members and legit as soon as we sat down, were served with ice waters and chopsticks. i was very intrigued to try this place out and judging by reviews about (strictly) their food, it looked promising... but my visit was accompanied some of the worst service i've ever experienced in a restaurant. we were seated rather quickly by a staff member, despite what seemed like a full lobby. but after getting seated, a different staff member approached us and yelled at us telling us we had skipped the line (which obviously wasn't the case), and that other customers were angry with us. we had done nothing wrong so i asked what we could do to rectify the situation, upon which that same staff member rolled her eyes and walked away, muttering under her breath. we were then not served for at least 10 minutes, and at that point i lost my appetite and actually ended up with us leaving. on top of all this, there was no music either, so the ambiance is very awkward and you can tell it was not a very pleasant environment. i'm sure everyone around our table heard this staff member yelling at us.... i would maybe order takeout only from here... i would never sit in there again, at least not with that current staff. what a shame read more

First time trying this restaurant, and I'm very pleased. The roll variety is impressive, with many different options. The super crunchy roll was delectable and had great flavor + texture. I'd truly say this was a 3.5 star sushi place. It was my first time here. The menu was fairly basic. The sashimi combo only really had tuna variations and salmon, versus a wider array that most places offer. That said, it was fresh and tasted good. It didn't come with soup or salad, and often combos do. So I added a cucumber salad and it was light and refreshing. My husband got the chicken teriyaki roll and the hawaiian roll and said they were "ordinary" and nothing he'd rush back for. It was understaffed -- and the service wasn't great. Saying 4 vs 3 stars since many restaurants are struggling to staff and offer what they used to. read more

We ordered 2 lunch special combos and it was easily enough food for 3 people. It's nice to find a sushi restaurant in this area that still offers a lunch special. This is my second time at this restaurant but my first time with carry out. I wanted to support a local small business during covid. You can't beat the prices as it is $4 for vegetable rolls, which is basically all I eat. The only thing that I didn't care of (personal sushi preference) is I wish the rolls were rolled with the rice on the outside instead. Also, it would be nice if the rolls were a bit larger size. I ordered 4 rolls because I was worried they would be small and they were so I was glad I had enough to make a meal from it.
