This place is so small to eat in. They have a lot of waitress but they all bearly fit in there the tacos are good but way to much food, I couldn't fit the taco in my mouth I ordered a taco dinner that's rice beans and 3 tacos and they had to bring me an extra plate with the third taco because the tacos are too big they don't all fit in one plate. I end up picking on the meat only and had to take most of the food home. This place is more of an order to go, to small to eat there. Tony's Mexican Grill is the TRUTH!! My husband introduced me to it when we first started dating and we come as often as we can. The servers are incredibly friendly. Always kind and never get the order wrong. And, whew those cooks always snap on the food. It's delicious and reasonably priced as well. Only downside to this place is that sometimes they get so busy there's a bit of a wait, but that's not too much of an issue. They expanded and remodeled recently and it looks great. I recommend this place to everyone I know and I hope they have a long, lucrative run. read more

Small joint with a busy parking lot. They are *bustling* behind the counter. Prices are very reasonable and food is plentiful and **fresh**! I saw them roasting tomatoes on the grill - not sure if for the salsa or what - but I had never seen before. I got the tampaquena dinner and while the meat was very tendony so I had a hard time chewing (I think that is how it always is?) it had the charcoal grill taste. Yummmmmm. I asked for medium but it was pink inside - so maybe order more well done than you want. I can't wait to be back and try the fresh juices. Also if I come back solo I like that they have the bar so you have an option that's not a table. Note - you can pay but not tip with credit card. They have fun candy at the register. If you ask for limes in take out order they are plentiful. Take out didn't automatically come with chips. read more

Since I wrote my initial review almost 5 years ago, they have expanded and taken over the adjoining storefront to add more large, comfortable booths for dine-in. The original space remains intact as well, so there is now plenty of room for seating and a less congested feeling. The excellent food is still the same, remarkably consistent. read more

I make this my regular Saturday afternoon place to get my Mexican food fix. Like other people have stated, the staff is extremely friendly and the portions are good sized. I don't know where they buy their peppers, but they are some of the hottest I have eaten. Noticed on my last visit that they are expanding into the next store front, which make sense, since seating is limited here. But that gives the place a nice vibe to it, where you are sitting almost shoulder to shoulder. But I hope the expansion does not ruin the small grill vibe. read more

So I decided to go get a torta. Never again will I eat there. My torta was so sloppy and poorly made. I couldn't even pick it up a second time. It went in the garbage after that. My bread soggy very disgusting. The front of the torta looked like they either smooshed my bread or cut it wrong. You guys need to get it together at night. read more

I finally went in this Sunday evening to try the Tony's Mexican veggie tacos. The other place I was going to go down the block was strangely closed with a holiday tomorrow although this place was hoppin'. The veggie tacos were huge and they put mexican style potatoes on also which was nice. I upgraded to add avocado and cilantro, which were also very fresh. I did corn tortilla, and next time I'll do flour. Hot peppers and carrots are a good add too. That's all I tried so far. The chef was running a tight kitchen and everything was under control. Whatever decently rated taco joint popped up first was going to have the pleasure of taking my money that I stole off my moms dresser earlier in the morning. I ordered 3 tacos. Steak, chicken, and a pork taco to go along with my RC cola. Normally I would object to a restaurant not having Coke or at least Pepsi but it didn't bother me because of the kind staff at this nice little place. Everyone was nice but not overly up your ass. They let me enjoy my meal. The tacos were good enough ( although the pork was just average) that I know I will never be tacoless near La Grange again. They also have me some chips and salsa which was a plus. My one complaint was that the girl who took my order decides to sweep the floor while I was eating. It was just me at the restaurant and that was fine but I wish staff would not clean right by my table. Writing that makes me feel a little anal but I was enjoying my peaceful and pretty good meal. Well went here not long ago and food was good I went on a busy weekend. Went today, a Wednesday and that was absolutely the last time I will step in this place, and it's a shame I actually think it could've been great. I like consistency, and if going on a weekend I will get better food than weekdays, this is not a place I'd give money to. I ordered a "torta de asada" (steak sandwich) and asked for the meat well done and got nothing but fat And meat not well done, so that was a waste. I also ordered a "Chile relleno dinner", (stuffed peppers) and that was also a waste! $28 dollars in the garbage!! The pepper gets stuffed with cheese rolled in flour and then dipped in egg then fried. As I bit into my taco I got raw flour inside my pepper. I am not going to sit here and pick at my food. Definitely not paying attention to what gets served to your costumers. I'llgo elsewhere from now on. Portions are big but if you want to throw your money away because you won't be eating the food, this is the place for you!!! read more
