Great food, service, and price! Taco Amor emphasizes family flavors, and you can tell that all their food was homemade and freshly prepared. You get free chips and salsa (very tasty homemade salsa) when you dine in. Their chips and tortillas are made with beet juice, which provides a unique red color without altering the flavor. We ordered a quesabirria taco, a cajun shrimp taco, a chicken burrito dinner, and elote. The tacos were super flavorful, the burrito was the size of my forearm, and the elote was tasty. All the food totalled to $30, which is a great price nowadays. The interior is clean, and the owners checked in with us every now and again to see how we were doing. read more

I was waiting for a train after going to the zoo, and saw this place across the street. I hadn't eaten lunch, so I thought why not try it? When I entered, the place was pretty much empty. I was greeted right away. I decided to order the spicy chicken tinga bowl. The bowl was definitely smaller than something you'd get at chipotle, but it was pretty good! The chicken was not spicy at all, but had good flavor. Solid place to check out when near the Hollywood/Zoo metra stop! read more

I truly don't know what happened to this place. For the first year it was awesome! My last two orders have both been absolutely inedible. One order about six months ago was super stale, with old chips and unsavory meat. Tonight, both items I ordered tasted like salt had been poured over them HEAVILY, and the shrimp quesadilla I ordered made my stomach make some truly unholy sounds. Not only that - it had the top of what looked like a bottle burned into it like a brand. Someone in the kitchen has stopped paying attention. I had an order delivered using DoorDash. I didn't get what o ordered. The tacos were wrong. There were different insides to what I ordered. I ordered nachos and added rice. Nope, no rice. The nachos were interesting, but I don't know if I'd order them again. Meh is the best I've got for the food. Bummer. read more

Everything was fantastic. Great vibe, terrific food, their house made tortillas as delicious so naturally the chips and salsa are as well. Everything tasted fresh, portions were generous for a good price, and they had a solid vegan / vegetarian menu. I hope they have success and end up staying in that spot, I'm stoked to finally have a great restaurant there after so many years empty. read more

We crashed the soft opening today when we saw the balloons and 'open' sign illuminated. Owners are friendly and food is delicious. I had the asada bowl with Mexican rice, my husband ordered an asada burrito dinner. It was huge! The bowl also was packed with food. Both were delicious. Best taco spot I've been to in a long time. Highly recommend the quesebirria and al pastor, but everything looked phenomenal.

Family owned restaurant that opened recently. Very clean and fun atmosphere. Grandma is in the back cooking up nothing but delicious originals! Highly recommend getting the pineapple habanero salsa! 5 stars, we'll be back very soon. read more

Great food and easily top three al pastor I've had in Chicagoland. Definitely recommend!

Such a cute, cheerful place with a really enthusiastic staff. It's in a quiet area, but the food is awesome so I recommend giving it a try. I love that they have several vegan options and a cute kids' menu. It's a newer place, so not a lot of people have discovered it yet, which is a shame because they're a great addition to the community, but for now it's nice because they're lines aren't long! read more

I trust yelp when choosing the restaurants I dine at. I noticed only 17 reviews on here but overall 4.5. I was disappointed as we started digging into our food. Only thing we enjoyed was the quesabirrias. BUT rice, beans and steak tacos were a huge disappointment. The meat was not edible, when I told the staff they offered a refund which is great. But we will not be going back, and this is not a 4.5 restaurant. read more

We read some of the reviews and decided to try Taquero Mucho. We loved the quesabirra with tender beef and cheese baked in a corn taco. We also tried the Al Pastor fries which were big enough for a whole meal. The people were friendly and helpful. The interior was painted with bright colors and had a fun neon sign which said- "Keep the flowers, buy me tacos". Look forward to our next visit. read more

Quesabirria was delicious! The flavor was well balanced and not greasy at all like some other places. Al pastor fries were so good!! The fries were crunchy and the toppings were perfect. Guacamole was made to order, very creamy and flavorful. Churros were made to order and came out warm, very delicious. 10/10 experience, food was delicious, staff is friendly, food portions were perfect, parking was accessible and all the food we ordered came out hot and fresh. Went for lunch recently and had dinner there a couple of months ago. I had been going to Taco Hero when it was around and loved it. I wanted to love this but the food lacked flavor. I liked that Taquero Mucho is 7 day a week and opened for lunch but the flavors are just a bit bland. I had the tacos (steak, al pastor, veggie) and the steak fries and all were just ok. Nothing to go out of my way to get. Service was good the place itself hasn't change much since it was Taco Hero. There are hundreds of taco places around here and this one doesn't do much to stand out. read more

First and last time --- very little meat in the steak burritos, rice was bland. Steak tacos -- dry, overcooked and oversalted meat, awful. Even the refried beans were inedible. Such a rip-off and I'm still hungry. read more
