Subsequently, this complex is also one of the major bus stops for all the big Denali companies. Visitor center is large with plenty of information. Weather was a factor in our visit, so the rangers were able to give us advice on the best hikes we could do during our visit. Nice bathrooms, and if I recall, a water bottle refill station as well. Definitely stop by for some planning and information while visiting Denali NP.

On a recent trip to Alaska, our rental car company in Anchorage screwed us over by not having our…read morereserved car ready for us. Our vacation depended on the car since we were also planning to go to Denali National Park as part of our vacation. When we called our hotel in Denali for suggestions, they said there is a taxi shuttle service that is able to drive us around the area. The recommended Denali Taxi Shuttle, a company owned and operated by a husband and wife duo, Mike and Sumariam. I called them from Anchorage and set up our pick up times. Sumariam, whom answered the phone, was very lovely to talk to and had many good suggestions. In fact, she even told us about a restaurant that gave cheaper shuttle rides if we did not mind walking a little. The price they charged for each ride was decent ($35 for a trip from our hotel in Healy to the park), but beggars cannot be choosers. The cost per ride is also clearly posted on their website. On each ride, Mike and Sumariam were very courteous and had a lot to talk about life regarding the area. They were also very punctual and even early for all the pick up time. When I came home, I noticed a discrepancy in my credit card statement. We had 4 rides at a total cost of $140, but we were charged $180. I called Sumariam and she took care of the problem right away and refunded the $40 immediately. Great service from great people. TIP: Know what time you need the ride and give them a call a day or two beforehand. Unlike regular taxis, they do not drive around looking for passengers. It is all prearranged.

I was quoted a price that was acceptable to me. This area doesn't have taxi or Uber options that I was aware of so I used this companies services. I was texted a weblink to pay for the ride as cash was not accepted. The link was easy to use I just entered my credit card information. The driver called me when he arrived at my hotel so that I didn't have to stand outside in the rain to wait for him. He was a safe driver that got me to my destination in a timely manner. I'd definitely recommend this company.

I booked a Jeep Self-Drive tour through Viator. I will say that when I realized I booked the wrong…read moreday, they worked with me to correct the date of our rentals. I received a call the night before and was told that our group would be picked up in front of Denali Cabins at 7:40 am. Our group of 6 was waiting in front of the cabins at 7:30 waiting. I missed a call from the main number at 7:46 am. When I returned the number at 7:48, I was told that the driver had come by to pick us up and no one was out there so he left. I was talking with Hunter. He apologized and said he would come and pick us up because his driver had already moved on. Thirty minutes later Hunter pulled up in his van, surprised that there were 6 of us and explained that we would not all fit in one Jeep. Well, I had booked 2 jeeps, when the date was changed, they also changed the prepaid reservation to 1 jeep. Hunter reviewed my account realized that I was correct. They had two jeeps available. We were sent on some backroads with pretty scenery with very little direction, but at least we were on our own. We had agreed with Hunter that instead of us getting a ride back to the cabins where we stayed (a 15 min drive) that they would take us straight to the train station to save time. Once we were ready to go back to the train station we called and waited for over an hour. I called the main number again and spoke with Hunter. He said "Hmm I don't know where my driver is, I thought he had already picked you up. I will come get you". Once again, Hunter came to get us. There is a temporary building where we dropped off the car with no one inside. So, either his driver lied twice, or Hunter was covering for him. The cars themselves were so dirty that Hunter used a squeegee to try to clean the windows. The back-up cameras could not be used because of the dirt. I would not recommend this company for anything.
