When I left the dealership with the transit connect the transmission was giving me a lot of problems. I called Jeramy immediate and he asked me to bring the truck back the same morning. They reviewed the issues with a local Ford dealership and had the transmission rebuilt with a new torque convertor at no charge which was around 5K. I purchase a lot of vans and cars over the years, and I have to say this dealership is top notch with customer service and honestly which is very hard to find in a dealership and sales consultant today. The earliest appointment that fit their schedule and my request for a loaner was February 9, so I waited five weeks. When I arrived, I was told I couldn't get a loaner because I had my dog with me, and that the repair would cost me. I still don't understand why I should pay for a climate system that's been broken since day one. To make it worse, the air filter was billed separately, nearly doubling the cost. I asked to speak with the service manager, Ivan Cordova, and finally reached him nearly five hours later when I picked up the car. From the beginning, I told one of the owners that I already had a body shop in mind and would not be using them for the repairs. I thanked them for their time and they responded, "Don't worry about it, good luck." Everything seemed fine. A couple of weeks later, I received a call from their staff saying my parts were in. I was confused and mentioned that I had been texting with someone named Tommy, who had said parts wouldn't be in for a while. The woman on the phone said she didn't know who that was, then clarified she was calling from Angelo's. I immediately explained -- again -- that I never intended to have my car repaired there. She told me they had already ordered the parts and that I needed to come in. I apologized and explained I was already working with another shop. That's when things turned unpleasant. I was told I needed to pay for the parts they ordered. When I explained that I had clearly stated from the start I would not be using their services, I was told they didn't care and that I "should have been more clear." They have since submitted a $500 bill to a creditor for parts I never authorized. No remorse. No empathy. Just a nasty and unprofessional front office. Be very careful before giving them your information. Make sure everything is documented clearly in writing. This experience added unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation.
