I absolutely love the outcome of my hair. However I believe I was overcharged for a trim and eyebrows. I asked for a trim and that's what I got. Maybe a 1/2 inch was taken off. $70 seems a bit extreme. And why isn't a blow dry included with a $120 full head of highlights? Eyebrows were $20 for a couple seconds of tweezing... no wax was used. Maybe I should've asked these questions before getting everything done, but I really thought it would be more affordable as I've been to this salon a few times before. Just got my hair cut by Lindsey. I heard good talk about her online and she lived up to it. She's very personable, listens very well and gave me a rock star haircut! Everybody there is really cool and it seems like they run a great operation. Just bring some cash, as they don't do credit card tips. Update: Just got haircut no. 2 from Lindsey. At the end of my haircut, she should've done a scissors drop (Hair Stylist version of a mic drop) because she just killed it! That's probably a bad phrase to use for a haircut but whatever. Very nice salon, a great find. I had my hair cut twice by two different stylists, and both did an amazing job. The only drawback is that a) they don't take Amex (many salons don't so no big surprise) and b) they only take cash for tips. I almost never carry cash so this is quite inconvenient. Interestingly, the reason given for only taking cash was that "they run out of cash quickly", but there is an ATM right in the store. read more

I have been going to the Riley Hair Salon for 10 years. Today was my first time back since the COVID-19 virus caused businesses to close in March. The Riley Hair Salon has always been clean, but today it felt like the entire Salon has been sterilized! Upon arriving for my appointment today I called the Salon to let them know I was in the parking lot. I was asked to walk to the backdoor where I met Jennifer my HairStylist. When I entered the Salon, I noticed that everyone was wearing a mask. (I wore one too.) Jennifer immediately took my temperature to insure I wasn't sick. Then gave me a smock which was wrapped in a plastic bag. When I put on my smock I washed my hands too. Next, Jennifer gave me an empty plastic bag which I put my purse. As we walked to her chair I noticed that every magazine was gone. All the stylists stations were void of hairdryers, hair products etc. The shampoo area now has plastic partitions between each customer to insure germs aren't spread. Finally, the cashier's counter has another acrylic partition just like in the grocery stores. I think the Riley Hair Salon has done an outstanding job in making their business a very safe environment. And by the way......., Jennifer A. is an outstanding hairstylist. I think of her more like an artist. To me, she has the ability to take any style I suggest, adapt it to me and make me look incredible! I've gotten my hair cut here 4 or 5 times now. They do a really nice job each time. I called after I was done with work yesterday around 2 to see if they were busy and could take/fit me in. They said yes and I got my hair washed and cut. I think normally you need to call ahead but I got lucky since it wasn't to busy. They also have my name on file and the stylist that I see. They are very friendly here. You can also make appointments online or call them. Yes they do take CC. I like getting my hair cut here it always come out looking good. read more

I've been going to Riley for about four years now, and I've had the best experiences there. I go to Aysen, who really knows what she's doing. I just sit down and let her do her thing, and my hair always turns out amazing. I'm a natural blonde and she recently dyed my hair red, and it looks so natural and amazing. Today I had an appointment for a trim with layers and a wash. When I left the salon I was disappointed because the hair dresser cut way more off than was necessary. Once I got home I straightened my hair to see that there were no layers and the cut was completely unprofessional. It looked like someone put my hair up in a ponytail and slashed my hair with a samurai like mulan. If I wanted a shoddy trim I could have just pulled into the great clips in dunwoody across from walmart. But instead I went to the Riley salon and spent 30 dollars on a trim. I didn't even get my hair completely blow dryed. Because of this, I have to go to another salon to get my hair cut again. Thanks. read more

Was very skeptical about this amazing place my girlfriend talked about to get some treatment for her hair. I let her talk me into getting my next haircut there.. I mean how bad could it be? When I got there I was the only guy there and my girlfriend went in to get her hair washed ... was that what was going to happen to me too? She came out and started getting a cut and what not ... I am illiterate when it comes to hair care or just general beauty care but I could tell her hair was getting pampered! well after all the torture(straightening.. gels.. weird shampoos) she puts it through everyday... it was deserving, they were doing a thoroughly professional job from what I saw.. soon I was ushered to get my hair washed, once done I waited a few more minutes before someone came over to cut my hair .. it was an Aysen show from there, I have to admit she is a refreshing break from all the unprofessional hair dressers who have played with my hair for so many years.. she takes real interest in what is going on with the customer's hair. I have never really had that. I enjoyed the conversation she made. Any doubts I had about going to a salon were gone. I would definitely go back and see Aysen. I recommend her to anyone who needs some advice with their hair and doesn't know who to turn to. Overall experience was 3.5 and it turned to a 5 by the time Aysen was done!! read more

My last visit to Aysen was not the best. She rushed through to get to the next customer. The left side of my hair is longer than the right, very obvious.. Had my hair colored here about 6 weeks ago. Meredith (ironic we have the same name) did my color. I showed her a picture and it came out perfect! Plus my hair looked super shiny and healthy! I went back for color, and decided to do a keratin treatment too. I know its a little pricey...BUT ITS AMAZING! My hair has NEVER looked better! I mean hopping out of the shower I blow it dry and bam- its shiny, smooth, and I just use a roll brush with the dryer to get the fly-aways down. Overall a great experience...tough to go 3 days without washing my hair but its completely worth it!!!!!!! LOVE IT! Thanks Meredith! read more

I walked in for my first time unhappy with a just been done highlight treatment from another location and the staff were so accommodating at Riley by simply listening to me and offering assistance!
