This is a HIDDEN GEM! Before I moved to Colorado I used to go to a locally owned pet food store where the owners read the ingredients of each product they carried to make sure it was a quality mix. Michele, the owner of Riley's, does that and so much more! Michele has a decades-long background in teaching health to humans and has brought her love of healthy living to her pet store. She's very selective on every product she carries. Because she's not a large corporate-owned business she doesn't have to carry popular, unhealthy products because the stockholders demand it. She carries only what she believes is the best products available. For example, when she decided to carry CBD products, she visited the local farm where the products are grown and manufactured to be sure she was getting the most potent CBD products. She understands science and chemistry so she isn't tricked by unfounded marketing claims. After she starts carrying a product, Michele keeps track of her products to see if there are recalls on any of them. She keeps a list so customers can be informed. Michele carries a wide price range of quality products from raw foods she keeps in refrigerators to dry and canned foods. She wants every dog and cat owner to be able to afford quality food for their pets. There is a separate room where Michele has healthy programs for dogs. For example, she'll schedule dogs to come in for teeth cleanings. The sessions are conducted by independent pet care providers. She also has a room filled with food products reserved for customers who order on a regular basis. If they regularly buy every 2 weeks or monthly, she has their supply waiting for their next order. That way she knows her regular customers aren't disappointed if the shelf stock runs low when it's time for them to buy again. We have a Golden Retriever who is going on 15 years old and that's because we've always given her the best foods and supplements we could buy. We were afraid when we moved to Colorado we wouldn't find a great place locally to buy products for her but discovering Riley's has taken away our fear. read more

My wife and I discovered this store a few years ago and have not found a need to visit any other pet store. We have never had a visit where we weren't treated like family and provided as much detail and options on dog food, toys, treats, and health aids for our older puppies. Based on the needs of our puppies, they keep a good supply of food on hand. One of the huge benefits for us, outside of everyone there being super friendly and caring about the puppies, is the records they keep of previous purchases and the dates. This helps us to keep on a schedule and know when the next visit to the pet store will be. You will be extremely satisfied at this pet store and won't go anywhere else once you get to know everyone there and they get to know you. If they don't have the food we need in stock, they provide free samples to hold us over until the food we need arrives. I've never been into a place (including my vets) where knowledge and care about nutrition was so paramount.
