The campsites were so close to each other, I had to listen to the guy four feet from my tent snore all night. The first night, they did not manage quiet time at all, people were still yelling at 12:30 am. The next night, one of the camps had at least 25 people at their site and were playing their music so loud it was deafening throughout the entire campground. We were 100 yards away from them and had to raise our voices to be heard amongst ourselves. The showers and bathrooms were disgusting. (At least the water was hot in the showers) The lake itself is very beautiful but I would highly recommend you find another place on the lake to enjoy the lake.

A magical, soul-soothing escape…read more I can't say enough good things about my stay at Wellspring Spa. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I'd stepped into a hidden forest sanctuary. The land itself is breathtaking--towering trees, soft mossy trails, and peaceful stillness that invites you to breathe deeper and slow down. I spent hours wandering the hiking paths and felt like I was in another world. I stayed in the Tahoma cabin, and wow--it was cozy, peaceful, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. (They must have updated them based on what I have read from previous posts!) Every detail in the space felt intentional and grounding. After a day of exploring, soaking in the outdoor hot tub with that stunning view of the trees was exactly what my body and mind needed. And the lofted sauna? Absolutely the coolest (and warmest!) little gem--such a unique and relaxing experience. What really made this place special, though, was the warmth and kindness of the staff. They were so welcoming, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about creating a healing experience for guests. Also: there's a sweet dog who wanders the grounds and melts your heart--truly the cherry on top. Wellspring isn't just a place to stay--it's a place to remember. I already can't wait to come back.

It's the perfect place to come back to after hiking all day at Mount Rainer and lovely as a couple's getaway. My boyfriend and I loved the privacy and thought the cabin was beautiful. Thanks for everything Sunny, you're a gem!

These have been souped up with a heated floor in the shower room and a gas fireplace. We stayed in Lodge 14 and it was fairly spacious, not creaky, with a king size bed in the main bedroom as well as a little curtained-off annex room with a small bed that worked for our son. The biggest issue at this property is that no staff are on sight. You can reach them via text, but there can be quite the delay in receiving an answer or you may receive none at all. You are especially out of luck if you run into a problem "after hours," which is after 5p. We stayed 2 nights. The first night we discovered the only blanket available for the annex bed was very heavy and way too hot. We had to open all the windows in the room to make up for this, which is nice, but the island is alive with birds starting at about 4:30a, making it too loud to have the windows open. We texted the property manager the following morning asking for a normal-weight comforter, or if they want us to just use the AC (we were hesitant to do that in the chilly weather). They informed me that the lodges' electrical systems are tied to each other, and there would be issues if we used AC in our lodge while the lodge next to it might be using the heat. They brought a lighter blanket, but it was barely heavier than a sheet, so not workable. I ended up having to open all the windows and then wake up at 4a to go back into my son's room to close his windows. Not relaxing. The property had a nice communal space with a wood fire pit as well as a glass fire pit (the latter of these emits very little heat), next to bathrooms and what looks like a inside common room and kitchen, though these were locked... You are given a code for the bathrooms. Night 2, at 7p, we wanted to hang out in the space with the friend we were visiting, and we could not access the bathrooms as our code was not working. I texted the number immediately, but no one ever responded. That was a huge bummer. I guess when you arrive, I would recommend immediately checking out all of the amenities and making sure they work, and your code works with them, as no one will be around to help you later. I was extremely disappointed that no one even responded to me. Pros: - It was clean. - Heaters in the shower room were nice - Shower was nice - Bed was large, though with the usual dips in the mattress that you get with many cheaper hotels. - A staff member did respond to my text after the first night issues, and they did try to help - The communal space was quite nice, even though I wasn't able to experience it all - The lodges are well-insulated - The location is excellent. Cons: - The lodge is pretty sterile feeling. It could be greatly improved with more art on the walls. - Only one sink in the lodge. Used for both kitchen and bathroom. - Not enough linen choices for bedding. - The pillows were absolutely horrific. Like large hard stuffed animals. They did bring us two slightly less stuffed pillows after the first night. These were still too hard and uncomfortable. - No bedside lamp on the left side of the main bed - My access codes to other parts of the property did not work, and no one responded to me about it. - The toilet, which is right next to the main bedroom, has an extremely loud flush. Not ideal during the night. - The couch was gross-looking, very worn. We didn't want to use it. We asked that they provide a blanket to cover it with. They assured me it was clean, just worse for wear. This place is cute and convenient. It could be improved with just a little more care and attention to detail (artwork, rugs, more linen options, nicer pillows). It could also be greatly improved by having one staff member on site, or at least on-call at all hours.

I witnessed the manager, Lauren, handle a situation very professionally. A group that was demanding and rude were really giving her a hard time and she politely and calmly dealt with them. SageCliffe has gone downhill from last year. Seems they're cutting down on costs…read more When we arrived there was no welcome drink/glass. The front desk treated us as if we were bothering her. She had a friend who was with her next to the front desk with a glass of wine. That was weird. The friend didn't say hi which is why I'm assuming she was not a staff member. She looked up at us when we walked in and I had to tell her we were checking in. She walked us through the property amenities and then sent us on our way. We returned the next day to use the gym and asked to confirm my spa appointment. She confirmed the time but not whether the 90 min was confirmed (we had called previously to extend to 90 min). We went to use the gym and when we came back down she was socializing with a coworker. She only came back to the front desk once we walked up to it to ask for extra towels. We also let her know we never got an email for the spa form. She had resent it before we headed to the gym. Her response, "that's weird." The hotel can't even figure out their email system. The gym is very minimal. There is a treadmill that is broken (stuck on incline) and dirty yoga mats. No water. No towels. There is a shower. When I arrived at the spa no one was manning the front desk. My massage therapist popped in and checked me in, apologizing that there was no one at the front desk. It was only after I checked in that the front desk person showed up. My massage therapist was very good. She accommodated a 90 minute session when I mentioned I requested it but did not get it. She also went over which I appreciated. Her name is Angela. Very experienced and highly recommend. We intended to eat at their bar where we enjoyed their pizza last year. The bartender informed us that because there is a private party that the kitchen won't be open till 7pm. I replied, "that's too bad as we enjoyed the pizzas last year. The bartender said that pizzas were not available till May. I let him know last year in March there were pizzas available. He thought it was odd as he knew of it as a summer thing. This made me think they were cutting down on costs again as they don't need to fire up their pizza oven. Checked out with same front desk lady. She just looks at me. No proactive greeting. The service here is severely lacking unfortunately. It does not feel like a top notch resort. I will not be back next year and will look somewhere else for my annual weekend getaway.

The long entrance driveway take you by some of their other property types like the condos and standalone houses. Check in was a breeze and our cliffhouse (also standalone) was just a short walk from the main building. The room itself had character, but could have been maintained better. The bathroom was dark even with the lights on. Our room did come with water and a drink fridge. The bed was comfortable and the bst part was the outside deck and view that was had from there. We could see the pool and the river. I watched the sunrise from here and it was incredible. The wedding was in the event tent, which was warm and wind resistant because we had strong winds that night. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I spent some time in my friend's home on the property and they all are individually owned and have hot tubs. The whole lace is upscale, but not pretentious!
