This is your hole in the wall and food being made momma bear style food. This isn't your social media hype place. They don't even have social media. It's 2 ladies from Nayarit running this place. The shrimp ceviche (diced) is 10/10. The langostisis are fire !!! The cheese and shrimp empanadas are also fire. The food is freshly made and there is 1 lady making all the food so make sure you have 15 mins of your time to wait for your food to come to the table. If you love authentic food this place is it. I finally got to try this restaurant just in time for heritage month! The restaurant is located in a small plaza. There's also street parking. Make sure you read the signs. I believe Monday is when hours are restricted. The restaurant is on the smaller side with 7 booths and tables. It's family owned and operated. The restaurant was very busy but nonetheless the service was great! I believe the granddaughter was taking care of my friend and I. We ordered 2 shrimp empanadas with cheese, a tostada mixta, a taco gobernador, a taco de camaron, and a side of rice & beans. While the food was getting prepared, she brought out chips and salsa to snack on. The chips were warm, and the salsa was bold and spicy. The empanadas came out first. They were delicious! They're about palm-sized stuffed with cheese and shrimp. The masa itself is tasty. I think they add a sauce to it. I poked small holes in my empanadas to let the steam out. Their ceviche is made Estilo Nayarit with shredded carrots, fish chopped as fine as possible, and shrimp made in two styles: half cooked in lime and half cooked in salted water. A yummy must-try! The taco gobernador has the option to be ordered with medium spice or spicy. I went with medium spice, which tasted more on the mild side to me. Great flavor! The taco de camaron is made with fried shrimp and topped with onion, cilantro, repollo, y aguacate.The tacos were made with tortilla a mano which were thick and fluffy. Both tacos were good. I think the salsa on the gobernador taco elevated the taco more, so I enjoyed that one more. Overall, I had a great experience! I will be back to try other dishes. We shared the langostinos and they were also suuuuper flavorful but you have to watch out for the spice it packs; I really appreciate that they give you the option between mild, medium, and very spicy. The only items I wasn't crazy about was the coctel de camaron and the tostada de camaron; they were;t bad by any means they just do not compare to the other first two dishes we tried. The chips & salsa are a nice tasty bonus. Darla was our server and she was lovely; she answered allll of the questions we had and gave us a ton of information and recommendations. This is when she told us that her grandma is the one that cooks everything herself. This is a great spot to catch up or grab a quick bite because it's so small. I tried about 4 different dishes and my absolute favorite things were the Langostinos (literally drooling thinking about them again) and the Empanadas de Camarón. You can tell that they cook everything with alot of love. One of the best Salsa that i ever tried and definitely the best Empanada De Cameron that I tried!
