This adorable little wooden and mint colored beach shop is located on the beach end of Linden St. and carries all your beachy themed needs or wants. Tourists: If you're looking for authentic Carpinteria wear, stickers, jewelry, etc. this is your shop! Locals, you already know though. This shops the OG surf attire featuring Matt Moore goods, Rincon Design branded gear, camping mugs, sun hats, aloe and sunscreen, bikinis and life guard attire, and so much more. Personally, I come here for bikini shopping, Sun Bum, Sex Wax, trendy new stickers, and beachy jewelry. I love how there's always parking somewhere close, the staff are quick and attentive, while not always extremely friendly, they are helpful. The shop is always up on the latest trends and does offer a sale rack at the front with reasonable deals. And you can always count on them for good birthday gifts or iconic Carp goods to send to relatives in other states. A little pricey for my style but definitely an adorable shop and I will be back for goods in the future. read more

I went into this shop ready to plunk down some dollars for a couple of pairs of Rainbows. After hearing the "N" word a dozen times, I got turned off and walked out. Bought 'em at another place down the street that seemed more POC-friendly. The owners of Rincon should really monitor the music that their staff is playing in the store. read more

It's my husband's Birthday and Amazon gifts are delayed! I rushed to my favorite lil Surf Shop to grab a quick gift and was in & out of there in less than ten minutes! Excellent selection of t-shirts, and a little bit of everything for your beach goers. I was fortunate to have Ryder wait on me. He wrapped my gift in tissue paper & a colorful bag! Great surf shop with plenty of boards, accessories, and modern surf and skate clothing. I came by here this past weekend to get wax, and found the place to be the perfect place to visit in the sleepy town of Carpinteria. While I always wanted to visit the town, I found the young woman at the store to be extremely helpful in guiding me to pick the right wax (Zog's Eco Box Sex Wax at $1.85 isn't bad, but not great) for my board. She even gave me a quick layout of the town, since I stated I wasn't from around there. I checked out the rest of the store and it rivaled the cleanliness and organization of some of the other prominent (non-commercialized, owned by large conglomerate) surf shops I've visited like Harbour Surfboards. Their selection of wetsuits, booties, rashguards, and short boards is quite plentiful. As for their surf skate clothing collection, it's even bigger. They carry all the major brands like O'Neill and Volcom at reasonable prices. So in other words, their inventory is large for what appears to be a small shop. For a surfer, boarder, and general beach goer, they have a good set up anything you need to get onto the water. read more

Unfortunately I tried this cute shop out multiple times. The buyer knows what he/she is doing but the customer service is horrendous. Had an incident where the kid at the counter was using derogatory language and out of the 3 workers in there not one said hello, how can I assist you, or anything of the sort. They made me feel as if I was a nuisance! For the price of the items, this is unacceptable and I will not be returning. read more

Cool surf shop. They close early. We got there 20 minutes before closing and you could tell the "kids" were JONESing to get the heck out of there! A darling trio of kids work there. One guy and two gals. I quickly picked my cement cross adorned with shells as my Carpinteria souvenir. Grabbed a purple hair tie and handed them to the fella to ring me up. He asked if I would like it wrapped. I said yes. He wrapped it and then I added a green customized handled reusable bag for $1.99. The girls were playing with their hair. The selection of goods in this store is pretty awesome! Loads of great brands and super fun selections for the kiddos. It will be nice to shop there when I have a little more time. read more

Just had some really bad customer service! Rincon was selling my fiberglass surfboard and trading me for a rental foam long board. They sold my board. I went to pick up the other board and the bottom was crunched, the fins were all loose, there was sand and tar all over it, and then to top it off .... she took the leash off that was on it and told me I would have to purchase one ... although I left the leash on the one they sold for me. When asked if she would throw that in since the board was damaged ... she said no. Not impressed! read more

I'm so bummed on Rincon Design. I'm a local and I shop local eat local and love to support local businesses in any possible way. Especially here in Carpinteria. I love Carp grew up coming to Carp and have a family house in Carp. Today I went to return 2 shirts that I bought for my husband for Christmas. They didn't fit and they wouldn't exchanged them. No store credit nothing!! She sent me away!! I couldn't even get a different size. They said they have a 30 day return policy and I missed it by a few days. Ok I get that but it's the holidays and lots of people shop before Christmas. Then Christmas hits and your out of town ect and then you need to go exchanged things after. Right! Sad to say that I could of easily bought these Quicksilver shirts at Nordstrom but I like to support locals. So Rincon I'm sad the way you treated your locals that love to support Rincon. I'm so bummed with the customer service I got today at Rincon. I have been going to this store for years. It's just unbelievable that they wouldn't exchange the items out. read more

Just purchased a simple blouse that was over $50.00 and after they rang it up , proceed to come around the counter and hand me the blouse. I asked her if I could have a bag, and she told me ( after telling my daughter) that it would be 20 cents. Really? Do we charge for bags now? Like grocery stores? 4 If I spend that much money I expect to get a bag. Simply put, I think it's odd. read more

They have a huge selection for both girls and guys, lots of great iteams on clearence when they get new items in, they have great items such as reef sandals, sanoks, sun glasses includeding raybans! I went to Rincon design looking once again for a pair of sunglasses for I have been looking for quite some time. I was about to leave after looking at their selection when a nice lady behind the counter put forth the effort and went through every pair of sunglasses I found to be interested in. because of her amazing customer service I bought my pair of sunglasses. I'll look at Rincon design as a place that wowed me with customer service, good customer service, patient customer service and for that I would go back and buy all of my apparel. read more

Awesome customer service. It was a busy Saturday holiday weekend and I wish I remembered the names of the 3 young adults working the store. They helped my wife and I get a new wet suit for her.
