A great little gem of a place where the service is friendly and its not too expensive. I come here for trivia weekly, and pretty much every time its the same good experience. Food's pretty decent. (Its no gourmet joint, but you can get a solid meal here as well. They've got a bunch of pool tables in the back and they seem to have a big crowd back there often. I haven't played there so i have no opinion on the tables, games, etc. They make basic drinks and do have specials for happy hour. The nuclear wings are actually hot. They made me sweat. Ringo's is like a Beaverton institution. The previous location was looking kind of old and worn out. By contrast, this new spot is very spacious, clean, comfortable, and well designed. Over the years Ringo's has become famous for serving up dishes like broasted chicken, delicious hamburgers, and deep fried pickles. On my visit I ordered the "Maui Cheeseburger" with the tasty teriyaki sauce. Unfortunately things went downhill rapidly from there. My lemonade had a strange taste. Never did receive my hamburger. Sipped my lemonade and watched the whole second half of an NBA game. How long was that? Seemed like forever to me. Eventually my server saw me foodless at my table. She came over to apologize and explained that the delay was due to a "printer problem." To be fair Ringo's offered to comp my meal. However, by that time I was sick of sitting around at Ringo's Bar And Grill. Hope Ringo's gets their printer problem fixed and I hope that their staff members start doing a better job of watching their tables. Haven't completely given up on this place. However, next time I need a burger fix Ringo's Bar And Grill will not be my first choice. read more

When Mrs BDB says "it's time for a cocktail", one doesn't argue - at least I don't. I know better. I just slam the car into reverse or the nearest parking spot, as the case may be, and out we go. Today it was in beautiful (?) (sic) Beaverton, and the nearest purveyor of potables was a placed called "Ringo's", referred to at different places online as "Ringo's Tavern," or "Ringo's Ale House." It should be called "Ringo's Bar, Restaurant, Video Poker, Pool Table, and Wii Emporium," cause that sums it up. We were just gonna have a bump and maybe split an appy, but I looked at the menu, and there were interesting things afoot, so I declared "I'm getting a burger," and Mrs. BDB said "I'm getting a martini." And so we did. She also ordered an appetizer sampler, whereby you can choose 3 fried thingies from a list of six and get a side of fries or tots on top. She went with fried shrimp, wings, and (drum roll) fried dill pickles, plus the side of tots for me. The plate came with a side of ranch and a dollop of cocktail sauce, and we both pronounced the appetizers pretty darned ok. As you can see, one of the tots was so eager to swim in the Ranch, it jumped right in as soon as the plate was put in front of us. I went with the "Everything But the Pool Table" burger, 1/3 pound of (fresh, never frozen) from local Fulton Meat. The buns across the street from Beaverton Bakery. Very nice buns. The toppings on the Everything burger were bacon, ham, swiss and american cheese, lettuce, tomato, and special sauce. I skipped the salad and the special sauce, and asked for mine with pickles and raw onion, yellow mustard on the side. The pour condiments were "House" brand (Sysco) but good enough. The burger was more than OK, as well, I disassembled, as per usual, and ate it in pieces. I didn't ask where the pickles were from, and should have. Nice crunch, nice dill, pickle chips (as opposed to the fried pickles, which were spears) (and yes fried pickles are nice, especially with the Ranch). It's not at all a spendy place, and they have a nice variety on the menu, typical American fare. Other patrons crowed about the broasted chicken. Oh, what's with the salad next to the burger you ask? Choice of sides was fries, tots, or salad. Since the app platter came w/ tots, i chose the salad so Mrs BDB could enjoy some rabbit food. read more

They have awesome burger buns and I like the burgers...but don't go here. You can have awesome burger buns and good burgers somewhere else where the staff isn't weird or discriminatory. I don't even care if it was an off day for the dude. You don't have off days when you're working in customer service of any kind. This used to be our Friday night dinner date but despite how often we came, it wasn't enough to be considered "regulars." Sometimes there was a guy checking IDs at the door and sometimes there isn't. We came here enough that we would have our friends meet us here as a halfway point AND we'd rave about the awesome burger buns and burgers. If I had gotten around to writing my review before this incident, I would have given it 4-stars. Not 5 stars because the service can sometimes be weird and once they serve you a drink and your food is on your table, no one comes around to check on you. I've had to walk up to the bar for a refill on iced tea so often that I'm beginning to think that they don't want to give anyone that free soda and iced tea refill. A few weeks ago, I came here with my S.O. He was vlogging that day and the camera was on him. The place wasn't full and we picked the table in the far corner away from everyone. Shortly after our drinks were served, we were asked to leave. No explanation why even when we asked. I guess someone called as a prank (on us) and whatever was said to the bar people was enough to kick us out. The guy who took the call was being a dick about it in an I'm-being-civil-because-I-have-to-but-fuck-you kind of tone. I was so shocked at the bartender's attitude towards us. We've come here almost weekly and instead of giving us, their patrons the benefit of the doubt, they chose to listen to some stranger on the phone. I am so very disappointed with this establishment. Fantastic local bar and grill! Great local watering hole/hangout. Well-kept pool tables in the back with a decent jukebox. A couple good pinball machines to boot. The food is all really quite good (the hamburgers live up to their good reputation) and the staff are awesome to say the least. Some good people work there. Good beer/cider/liquor selection, and they have recently remodeled a bit to make those even better. I've been going occasionally for many years and never had a bad time. "As for modern tipping etiquette, according to Peter Post and his institute, there is 'no obligation' to tip on takeout, but one should tip 10% for "extra service (curb delivery) or a large, complicated order." Then the spoiled lil brat told me that (despite paying over $60 for two meals, and being charged additionally for a take out order on top of my humble tip), I was costing him money and not to come back. On 06/29/2019 my friends and I walked in to the bar about 45 minutes before this place closed. As soon as we walked in the bartender immediately told us that they called 'last call' and told us to leave. We were looking for food. We asked to use the restroom since we traveled to this location being that they are open longer than most bars in the area. He then stated that we needed to hurry up and get out. While I waited on my friend to use the restroom; I naturally took a small hit of my e cig being that I was extremely uncomfortable with the environment that the bartender created. (This was my mistake. And I apologize for using the device indoors.) However, he then told me to get the fuck out and energized his customers to taunt me and name call. As I was opening the door to leave I heard him tell his customers, "We don't need gay faggots like him in here". My ears are still ringing with his comments. I stood outside in disbelief of what I had just heard. I waited for my friend outside of the bar until she was done using the restroom. As soon as she stepped outside she immediately stated that they were making fun of her. I will be calling the bar tomorrow and requesting to speak with a manager or to have correspondence with the owner. The bartenders that night were Rob and Otis. The bartender that was extremely hateful had a beard. I haven't experienced this type of bigotry in the Portland area yet until this incident. Regards. read more

For a bar & grill, Ringo's is pretty darn good! The food is definitely more than passable and the service is wonderful. We come in here to play pool because the table prices are decent and the tables are in fairly good shape and to just hang out and enjoy our date night. However, the service is really good! The pool tables are in the back room with the jukebox and you'd think that you'd have to go up front and pester them for service, but you don't. And it's not the same guy that comes back, it's 3 different ones. And their timing is just right. Warning: this is not a place where you won't see weird stuff going on, had that happen once. Fortunately, it was just once. It was excessive public display of affection. 'Nuff said... You'll also, unfortunately, hear some really foul language. What a fun bar! Great staff, full bar, great food, 6 pool tables, lots of space. Our first time here and can already tell this will be somewhere we come back. Use to be my favorite bar when I lived here a year ago. But I came back to visit tonight , and I found a piece of hair fried into my wings. The bartender didn't want to refund me until I told him that, and that I lived out of town. After he refunded my card the cook came to our table and tripped on us that it wasn't there hair in the food, even tho it was cooked into our food. I went up and said I love this bar- and wouldn't have complained if there wasn't a hair in it. He pushed passed us and told us to leave the bar and rolled his eyes at us and was aggressive and rude. Let me just start off by saying, this probably isn't a place I would come on my own two feet. I ended up coming here once or twice because I had a few friends who like to hit up this bar frequently. It's not your fancy, super-lit poppin' bar scene with a dance floor but it definitely has it's charm! First off, I don't know how many times you have to come around for all the bartenders to know your name but coming with the right crowd, I got in pretty easily and it's always special you know when the bartenders know your name and greet you as you walk in! I haven't ever really played pool but here, there are so many!! You don't really have to be shy about sucking, because I mean.. I suck pretty bad. You can play with quarters or as the nice bartenders to start a tab hourly. As for their drinks, I started ordering the Raspberry Lemon Drop on the rocks! I like it because the ice dilutes it a bit, since they like make it all boozy for us. Another great one off the menu is their white gummy bear! mm, now that's so delicious!! If you can't tell already, I'm a big fan of the sweeter drinks. I'm sad I don't live in Beaverton anymore but I recently stopped by the other day and missed the feels! I always enjoy my time at Ringos, great place to shoot some pool! A few weeks ago while I was there, my wallet went missing. As soon as I noticed and notified the bartender Wes, he immediately started to help look for it. Turning over tables, looking in the trash, wherever he could. I had a gut feeling that it had been stolen. I voiced this to Wes, asking if he would go over the bar surveillance and get back to me. I went ahead and filed a police report for it being stolen. Wes called me the next day after reviewing the cameras and confirmed that it was taken and he'd be contacting the police. The next weekend the thief returned to Ringos Bar, they called the police and an arrest was made! I'm so very grateful that they were so helpful, and followed through with it. Yeah, I'm calling it, best burger I've found anywhere I'm no burger connoisseur but I can tell good food and this is just that. For starters, the bun comes from Beaverton Bakery across the street & it's fresh, fluffy and tasty. We're only at the bun here and I'm won over. There's a variety of options for burger toppings but I always go with the mushroom & Swiss. The toppings are fresh and tasty...and the patty itself? Perfectly cooked and I'm not sure if I've said tasty enough in this review. TASTY. As sides, there's salad, fries, etc. I've done the fries and the onion rings and both a good options. Crisp, crunchy and ain't no soggy mess here. There's plenty of locals brews on tap & pitchers are completely reasonable for one that will get you about 4.25 pints worth of beer. I can't talk the service up here enough. It's not a place you'd walk into and expect anything great. It's kinda dingy & inspires "dive-y" in it's decor and layout. We wanted to try someplace new to watch college football on a Saturday afternoon/evening. Yelp led us to Ringo's. I called ahead to make sure they were showing football and not the UFC fight (I like UFC, just wanted to watch football), and was told it was all football all day. Right on....to Beaverton we go! First impressions from walking in suggest Ringo's might be sorta divey. At 4:30p though, it wasn't very full and the folks that were there seemed content with a cocktail and a football game on TV (lots of TVs, too). Once our server Heather learned we were going to hang out for a while, she was super casual without ever losing her professionalism (perfect service model, IMHO). In fact, throughout the evening I was impressed how just about everyone working check in on each table as they went by. As dinner time came and passed, I was truly surprised the crowd skewed as old as it did. Not blue-hairs, but it wasn't full of kids. It was a really relaxed environment. We ended up staying pretty late, and the kids did show up, but there was nothing rowdy about Ringo's at all. Ok, the important stuff: Drinks - Good, and lots of choices. Wife told me to make sure to mention the Ginger Lemon Drop. Good selection of beers and microbrews, including Ninkasi's Sleigher (sp?) for a seasonal. Food - Really pretty good. Besides the deep fried pickles as an appetizer (because well, you just have to), we all had burgers because they're proud of them there. They weren't Helvatia Tavern or Standich's, but they were pretty darned good!! Beer battered fries are light and tasty as well. Great service and food. Always over and above what one would expect! Price is right for both food and drinks, as well as the selection and any accommodations one might like. They offer pool, trivia nights, lottery machines, pinball, a photo booth (all were shutdown/limited during all the covid restrictions and were fully managed by the friendly smiling staff). Extremely busy most of the time and still the staff remained composed. I grew up in Beaverton and have run into/met many friends there. And the best part for me is that there is NO DRAMA!!!!!! NO foolishness!!!! A huge breath of relief as so many neighborhood bars can be like being in Jr. High (Middle school for the awesome young crowd!!).
