Ringseis has done framing for me before. Staff is friendly and is willing and able to help pick the right framing. Recently I brought in a portrait of my grandmother which was painted in 1970. The frame was old, stained and dated. I was so overwhelmed with all the framing options. The staff jumped in and helps me. They didn't rush me. They gave me a number of ideas. Under the new owner's .I had 3 posters mounted by them, they did very unsatisfactory work{ high school kind of work)l on the mounting of the posters! I had to go in 3 times to talk to both Helene's, they charged me more and did not do what they said they we're going to do for the price! Ringseis does a great job framing artwork. I trust them with my precious watercolors and so does George Lucas. I was told the shop has framed over a thousand images for Lucas and asked his staff to allow Ringseis to decide on mats and frame styles. He trusts the shop owners that much! Now that COVID is over Ringseis participated in their Friday Art Walk sadly this show will be his last as the owner is experiencing health problems and wanted to feature his friend Bob Cranston as his last show. read more

I've had pieces framed here which were worth in excess of $30k each as well as photos I've taken myself and they give all of them the same high level of attention to detail. There's a large selection of frames and better yet - of different varieties of glass and plexiglass so there's something which fits the needs of each piece perfectly. Framing for a large poster was not ready on time before the December holidays..okay not a horrible thing but was disappointing. Then though, the final product was out of alignment/not centered. Returned for it to be fixed (considering we paid hundreds of dollars for a simple frame job...) and was told he'd call when it's done. It's been over a month and no call. Really difficult to work with such constrained business hours too, unfortunately. read more

It pains me to write this as this in my town and my frame shop, but horrible service is horrible service. We delivered, as we have done in the past with no issue, 4 new paintings we acquired in travel to Jim for framing. Two of which we received on time and were happy with our experience. The third was misplaced but we were to receive in "near future". The forth was there but not completed. Long story short, we did receive the third but after 6 months of waiting. The fourth was never completed, had a large pencil mark on it and had to be asked for 9 months after originally dropping off. No excuse for this kind of disappointment. read more

I live in Oakland now--used to live in Fairfax which is why I started going to Ringseis in the first place--but the trip across the Bay is well worth it.
