Entrance and outdoor seating

Came back for lunch today and had a wonderful experience. Our waiter was friendly and checked on us frequently. For an appetizer I ordered crab rangoon which had a good amount of filling and was absolutely delicious. For an entree I ordered the pa ram which was beautifully plated and also very flavorful and delicious. We enjoyed everything and look forward to coming back again!

Rin Thai Bistro is one of those unassuming strip-mall gems that totally surprises you the moment you walk in. From the outside, it's easy to overlook -- but step inside and you're greeted by a cozy, inviting space with warm lighting and the kind of calm, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. I've been here three times now, and honestly, it never disappoints. Every dish I've tried has been packed with authentic Thai flavor, but my forever favorite is the Chicken Pa Ram. That spicy peanut sauce? Absolute perfection. Creamy, flavorful, and just the right amount of heat -- I always go hot (I love spicy food!) and it's the perfect balance. The staff here are wonderful -- super friendly, attentive, and they always make you feel like a regular. It's that kind of genuine hospitality that keeps you coming back. Rin Thai Bistro is definitely one of Buffalo's hidden gems -- small, cozy, consistently delicious, and full of heart. If you're a Thai food lover (or just a flavor chaser like me), this place deserves a spot on your go-to list.

This is a cute restaurant on Main Street next to Daemon University in a small plaza. I had a break and decided to look for a place nearby. This was recommended. I looked through the menu and decided on the ground pork basil dish, one of my favorite Thai dish, so it was a good one to try. I picked the 2 stars spicy, which is just about right. It was about 1:30 pm, past the prime lunch time but they still have quite a few tables. There was just one server, so it a took little to get the menu and to get served. Parking is right in front of the restaurant.

Super clean restaurant with great service. Ambiance is very welcoming. Food is amazing.

the service and food here is amazing! highly recommend the outdoor seating if dining in if the weather allows it. I ordered the pad thai (it was not too dry) and my friend got the pad kra pow and moo ping as appetizer to share. the sauce for this was amazing. food came out fast and our server was super attentive.

This restaurant is very clean and it felt like I was eating at a fine dining place. The waiter was quick and friendly! The Pud see ew with chicken was amazing. Lots of fresh vegetables and chicken was in the dish. I loved the sauce on it too.

BEST ASIAN FOOD IN BUFFALO. GREAT SERVICE AMAZING FOOD CUTE BAR AND INTERIOR they have menu options for anyone's taste - whether you want something fully authentic or slightly American fusion. I'm Asian and I can say their curry is the BEST in Buffalo. The crab Rangoon was so light and creamy, I dream about it sometimes. Thai iced tea was very sweet but more tea flavor than other places in buffalo. Super friendly staff who seem to know each other and get along.

Quick service, food came out amazing. 2nd time eating Thai food. I was impressed. I got the Thai fried rice with beef and a Tsing Tao beer. Everything was fairly priced except for the drinks. The beer on the menu say $7 ... BUT those prices are wrong! I got my receipt back and the beer was actually $8! I thought $7 was pretty expensive for a bottled lager beer. It was a good beer but not that great of a beer. Amazing food tho! Will definitely be back, just not for beer.

What a wonderful Thai restaurant! Came here over the weekend with two girl friends and had the best time. The spring rolls and crab Rangoon starters were great, followed by a beautiful display of pad Thai. And yes it was just as delicious as it was beautiful. Will definitely be returning!

Hi, anyone aware about gf options?

Call them! Their English is excellent, as is their Burmese and Thai!

Can anything be made gluten free here or is anything already gluten free? Thanks

Yes !! But make sure you let the server know !! Thank you

Hello, are there any vegan options?

You can probably ask for the noodle dishes to be made vegan. I asked if the Pud See Ew could be made vegetarian for me, and my server said yes, and checked that I was okay with tofu and eggs.

Do they have dessert?

We have chocolate peanut butter pie Matcha green tea cheesecake Flourless chocolate cake… Read more

They serve top notch Thai food. What makes them extra special however is their service. The owner always greets diners with warmth. Tonight's message, "How are you? It's good to see you again." My server clearly understands the importance of caring friendly service and he treated me as a valued guest. The dining room is comfortable and quiet, which is perfect for dining conversations or just checking email if you are dining like I was. I will admit that the room has aged a bit but it's still clean and pleasant. My Tom Kha soup had a tasty broth and was filled with chicken. The Pad Kee Mao lacked "spiciness" even though it is described as "stir fried spicy flat rice noodles in chili sauce" and I asked for medium heat. However it tasted great but I know it would be even better with heat. So, my update still rewards 5 stars and if you are looking for Thai this is a great option?

That includes clearing of items you're done with immediately and no waiting for your bill. I was never rushed; they were just great at their job! Honestly hard to find over the last few years and I was very grateful for that experience alone. The ambience was a very cozy-casual. As I was dining alone this time, I enjoyed the 80s music and videos playing on the TV haha I have to be honest ... I really really wanted to order a roll! But I'm trying to do better about trying other things. So I ordered the Atlantic mussels and the pan seared scallops with veggies with fresh ginger sauce and rice, at a spice level of 3/5. The mussels were very generous and in a large bowl. My biggest pull, aside from the mussels themselves, was that in the description it had a creamy coconut sauce. But I did not taste any coconut and it wasn't creamy. It was broth. It wasn't bad or anything, just not quite what I was expecting. I did appreciate, in general, that there were a couple of mussel options. I hadn't had them in quite some time. The dinner entree was very good. I loved that there was a 1-5 spice scale to choose from. I picked level 3 and was a little worried it wouldn't be spicy enough but it definitely was! It was perfect. The sauce was good and the scallops plump. Veggies were fresh and rice sticky. I had water to drink and it was also very good (felt it deserved a mention lol). I would definitely come back here, but I would definitely order rolls next time! It's what my heart really desires! Side note: great place to indulge in for a whole food diet! I felt very satisfied from my seafood and veggies!!

I was seated and immediately served complimentary tea, and fried wontons with sweet and sour sauce. I ordered the Kung Pao lunch special which comes with a choice of egg roll or soup, and white or vegetable friend rice. I chose the wonton soup and fried rice, and I ordered an egg roll as well. The egg roll came out quickly, and the lunch special was served right when I finished that. The food was good and the dish was spicy (Kung Pao is supposed to be spicy but it never is-- not for me) and the service was polite. When the check came it was accompanied by a plate with two slices of orange and a fortune cookie. The only thing I didn't like about the visit was that there was an advertisement for a big commercial law firm on the back of the fortune slip and the "lucky number" was the phone number. I thought that was tacky. I walked out at 1:15pm. Great, quick lunch.

Nice people, good food, pleasant atmosphere: because I can never decide which is more important,…read morethey are equally important factors when rating a restaurant. Golden Hill has all three. And a lunch menu. Wow! I just gave my receipt another look and the people are nicer than I thought. I thought they were pleasant, friendly, happy we were there, concerned that we would enjoy our visit. The lunch menu offerings were each $10.95 and included eggroll OR soup, and white or vegetable fried rice. Daughter ordered the Eggplant in Garlic Sauce with eggroll and white rice, plus an appetizer order of steamed dumplings. I ordered Eggplant with Pork in Garlic sauce with eggroll and white rice, plus a small bowl of Hot and Sour Soup. The soup on the appetizer menu was $3.95. My receipt shows the server put the soup as my lunch choice and charged $2.95 for the eggroll. She never said a word, didn't point out that I could save a dollar by switching the sides around. So the people are all I thought plus kind and conscientious. Marvelous. I was delighted with everything I ate. The entree was enough for two, so supper came home with me. The eggroll was fresh and crisp and non-greasy, seemed homemade. Excellent. The eggplant was perfectly prepared and cooked, as was the pork. Delicious. The hot and sour soup was easily one of the best I've had, and I'm always looking for a great hot and sour soup. Coming from downtown Buffalo, we'd been in Williamsville because I had an appointment on Essjay Rd. Afterward, we looked for a place to have lunch before shopping. Finding Golden Hill at 4001 Sheridan Dr. in Amherst was pure serendipity. You can bet, though, that I will visit again after next appointment.
