I've been coming to this place for a very delicious authentic Thai food for at least 15+ years. It's not fancy and it's not pretentious, but there's lots of parking and the price is right. I always go for either the pad Thai or the Penang curry along with the Tom Yum soup. I really appreciate that they haven't jacked up the prices l like most establishments in the area. You can still get a decent meal for two with drinks and maybe an appetizer and two main courses for about 75 to 100 bucks. They are also very generous with a pour of wine. read more

Have been coming here for sit down eat-in meals over a period of several years. This most recent visit was to pick up takeout for the first time. Order was ready within a few minutes of promised time, well packaged, and as always, portions were generous and flavorful. The food here is consistently delicious and the staff is friendly. This is the only restaurant we go to at least two to three times a week. Three strengths quite unique to this place are: First of all, the servers are not just servers but they become best friends because of their caring services for not only food but also true friendship. We have been frequenting this restaurant for the past seven years and we know every server here. In particular the head server Joe is truly an amazing guy and even my high-expecting spoiled grumpy son loves him. Second the food quality is so excellent, which is why we always head to this place. Finally the price is so inexpensive, and we always end up spending less than other casual places like Panera. This is the number one place for us when it comes to eating out. Came here for a group dinner after an event. There is a surprisingly long list of spicy dishes available for those who like hot spicy food but they are clearly labeled with to indicate the hotness level. Not being a spicy food fan, a friend recommended the cashew stir fry which I ordered with chicken. It was a different style of stir fry than I expected. More of a sautee style dish with lots of chicken and vegetables. The spices were good and flavorful with a little bit of pineapple added to it that was surprisingly tasty addition. The serving sizes there were big enough that most at our table had enough left for lunch the next day. Some of the others has pad Thai, veggie spring rolls, and eggplant curry. Everyone seemed to enjoy their dishes. Fresh flavors, helpful and quick service. And prices were pretty good too. Would visit again when in the area. read more

Group lunch order at work got me the chance to give Saigon Bangkok a try and I was delighted! The pho tai was delicious! The sent the noodles and all the fixings -sprouts, basil, jalapeños, and limes-with it in separate containers from the broth, except for the hoisin and sriracha sauce. I took my someone here for his birthday per his request, along with my teen son. We started with the Shrimp Tempura. Excellent! The online menu states it is served with a peanut garlic sauce but it was something else. I'm not sure what but it was delicious! For the entrees, I ordered the Saigon Fried Rice with Chicken, the others ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice and the Pad Thai Seafood. Everyone was happy with their food. I topped mine with a sweet chili sauce. Prior to dinner, I made reservations and asked if they did anything for birthdays. They said they serve a lava cake with vanilla ice cream. I asked them to please note it on the reservation so that I don't have to say anything in front of the birthday boy (man). They did not fail me and served the lava cake after dinner, before the check. It even had a little lit candle. However, I was surprised to see a $6.95 charge for it on my bill. It's ok, I didn't say anything and paid it, but most places that do a little something like for a birthday don't charge for it. So something to note if you want to do something like this. Imagine a dark evening ... traffic sounds fill your ears but the scents are those familiar on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City. Unmistakably the scents that only a Vietnamese kitchen can create ... alluring and appealing. It was a scene out of an Anthony Bourdain documentary. I was being drawn into Saigon Bangkok curious as to the culinary delights awaiting me on this cool November evening. Little did I know that when I opened the doors that my safety would be placed at risk just as a quick dash to Banh Xeo 46A challenged him. His safety challenge the never ending rush of traffic ... mine the total lack of masks on any of the greeters and serving staff. It's clear that management does not care about the people they employ nor the people who are eating in their restaurant. In the times we live ALL greeters and ALL servers should be properly masked for their own sake as well as for those of us they will be breathing at never knowing if one of our servers is asymptomtatic. ONE LOST STAR ... but I had crossed the threshold and I have had my booster plus two initial vaccines. The restaurant brings to mind a large warehouse rather than an intimate bistro and there is no alfresco dining just plain and simple but it is the food we want after all. Service was truly mixed. The young woman who greeted me and took my order was attentive but there was something uneasy about the gentleman who lurked above me and seemed to want me to take the soup spoon from his hand. Too close for comfort especially since he was not masked and I noticed similar close encounters with other diners. First the amazing part of the night ... the Canh Chua (Hot and Sour soup) was close to perfection and definitely the best version of this amazing soup that I have had in a long time. It was packed with veggies, tomatoes, pineapple and shrimp. There was still plenty of room for the absolutely incredible broth that danced on my palate to my great benefit. I savored each and every sip leaving a clean bowl. Now for the entree ... I chose Bum Nem Nuong because I really enjoy the contrast of heat with the traditional mam fish sauce and pickling flavors. The menu gave it one chili pepper for it's pickiness and that was all I needed to know. The eye appeal of the entree was wonderful. My server offered me a tray of chili sauces. Now, I do need to point out that the entree was delivered to the table while I was still savoring about one quarter of my delicious Canh Chua, which to me is a major restaurant serving no no! I was torn between the soup and entree so the entree cooled because as noted above the soup was so good. Everything looked fresh and delicious ... topped by three pork sausages, which was a different way to serve the dish requiring me to break the links apart and shred them with a knife because my chop sticks could not cut through them. A small detail but bothersome but I realize many diners eat with forks not chopsticks. But as I started to eat the entree I noticed ZERO HEAT .... actually with the vermicelli you might say the heat level was on the negative side of the heat scale rather than the promised one pepper. Thankfully I had the chili sauces to add but then I could not help but notice that there was not an iota of the flavoring of the fish sauce. I was eating naked vegetables with non-flavored vermicelli and some marinated pork. My sticks kept mixing the bowl hoping for flavors but without success until they hit upon the carrots, which were in essence a congealed pile of shredded carrots in the traditional vinegar. They were fresh but the way the pile stuck together the only description was congealed. I had been leaning towards perhaps a 4 rating but as I put my mask on and avoiding the potential danger from the unmarked staff the rating went down . I walked out breathing in those delicious aromas and my mouth longed for all the flavors that my Bun Nem Nuong should have rewarded my Monday with. Thankfully the soup ... the soup ... focus on the soup. My advice ... TAKE OUT ONLY ... order the soup breathe in the aromas but stay safe. Ultimately, the risk was not worth the reward! read more

This is our first time at this location and we really liked it. The dining room was open, clean and romantically lite. The waitress was very friendly and the service was great. I really enjoyed my yellow curry with scallops. It wasn't overly spicy and there were plenty of scallops! We got take-out from here Saturday nite and thoroughly enjoyed it. I know they had stopped their takeout service for a while. Not sure when they reopened but glad they did. Actually their covid update on their yelp listing still says that they're closed. (As of today 6/2/20) We got 3 different dishes plus a vegetable tempura appetizer. My favorite was the pad thai. No surprise since I love that dish anyhow. I really liked the way the crunchy sprouts and the ground peanuts each give it a different crunch factor. The portion was huge! We never got their tempura before. I liked the coating which was not overly thick like you sometimes get. The veggies were all perfectly crisp like I like them. Though I must say I wasn't crazy about the dipping sauce. It was a clear sauce with vinegar and cucumber slivers, not sure what else. I prefer a more typical dipping sauce. (100th Yelp review) We ordered takeout from Saigon-Bangkok Thai & Vietnamese Restaurant as part of our participation in Yelp's Big Night In 2.0, which was an event organized by Yelp to support local businesses around the world. Our order consisted of Chicken Pad Thai, pork Cashew Stir Fry, Hot Rainbow Vegetable Stir Fry and Vegetable Tempura. We ordered the 3 entrees at different heat levels to do a comparison, Medium, Hot and Extra Hot. I preferred Extra Hot but next time for sharing we'll probably order just Hot. The food was fantastic and packed with flavor. The restaurant has a great non-contact ordering and pickup system to keep patrons and employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Online ordering was easy and the pickup process was safe. Upon entering the restaurant there was a table with the orders setting on it. Signage indicated which orders were pre-paid and which still needed payment. Mine was pre-paid so all I had to do was take my bag and go. A friendly voice in the back of the restaurant said Thank You as I was leaving. I will definitely be frequenting this restaurant in the future, hopefully enjoying an eat in meal real soon. read more

I've eaten mango salad with shrimp for 20+ years, all over SE Asia (mostly in VN) , and it's always made with green mangos, not here; they were semi ripe. Dressing was correct, but the salad was swimming in it. No Asians besides some workers here, so if you're looking for AUTHENTIC, you'll want to find someplace else. read more

I never used to think i liked Thai food, then I discovered Saigon Bangkok. It has modern decor and was such a cozy place to come on a night following the ice storm. We started with their lightly breaded vegetable tempura which had an out of this world dipping sauce. We also had the summer rolls, which were the freshest things you could imagine.i tried Pho. I was a little hesitant, because the first time I had pho at a different restaurant it was flavorless. Saigon Bangkok had the opposite. The broth was to die for. I especially loved the dumplings and greens in the soup. I feel like we have found a new favorite, and our server was amazing with excellent recommendations. read more
