Stopped by Rio Açaí Bowls while passing through Madera after hearing good things and as a Yelp Elite, I had high hopes for a refreshing midday's pick me up. The spot is cute and clean, with a bright, tropical vibe that definitely gives off that "health-conscious but Instagram-ready" energy. I went with a protein smoothie, nothing fancy, just something to refuel with. It was good, not great. $9.50 for one smoothie felt a little steep, especially considering the portion size. I get it, fresh ingredients, protein, etc, but for that price, I expected a bit more WOW factor in flavor, size, presentation, etc... However, the staff was polite and engaging. Just a quick in-and-out experience, nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. All in all, Rio Açaí Bowls is a decent local option if you're craving something healthy-ish and cold. read more

Delish! I didn't know where this place was, but now that I've found it, I'm going to want this everyday! The staff were all really nice, and it was very clean. I got a small Rio bowl and added almond butter. Sooo good! It was made fresh so it took about 10 minutes for my order, but it was worth the wait for fresh ingredients and filled to the top of the bowl. At first I thought the small was too small, but it was very filling and I probably couldn't finish a larger size. I definitely recommend Rio Acai for a fresh, healthy treat! read more

Every time I call my order in they do not answer the phone they say they are busy but there is 2 girls working and not one customer. I call on my lunch break and have to walk in to order this has happened multiple times almost like every time I call! read more

New, new, new! Two Rio Bowls with peanut butter added and two Spicy Poke bowls. Medium for both. The worker, Samuel was very kind. He said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I went in to get it. The worker was very nice! The order was ready too! Paid for the order and wished a good day! Clean, safe and practiced. Small little place with tables to sit and enjoy if you would like. Feel that there is potential. Had a spicy tuna poke bowl. Was hoping for more variety in toppings. Adding seaweed salad, pickled ginger, etc. The rice is not Japanese rice, nor is it sushi rice.
