A small place in the plaza near First and Shaw. We sat at the counter. There are a few tables as well. There is a QR code on the wall you can scan to look at the menu, but it's mostly just ramen people come here for. There is a wide variety of ramen to choose from with either beef or pork and also some curry ramen along with some appetizers. We ordered the tempura shrimp and miso ramen. The tempura shrimp was rather bland even with the sauce that came with it. The soup was good, but I didn't care for the pork. My friend liked it, but for me it's too fatty. She likes it mild, but I added some of the chili oil condiment that is on every table to liven it up a bit for me. Service was good and efficient.

Amazing ramen! The food was incredibly flavorful and tasted fresh, with a rich broth and perfectly cooked noodles. The shop itself is pretty small, but that actually adds to the cozy and authentic ramen shop vibe. It might feel a little tight during busy times, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. Definitely worth visiting if you're craving great ramen!

I usually eat at Ramen Ichiban in Fresno, and this time I tried their Fresno Carbonara Ramen with no bamboo shoots and no green onions. The serving size was huge -- definitely enough for one very hungry person. The ramen comes with a rich pork-based broth, carrots, seaweed, corn, cheese, crab cake, pork, egg, and mushrooms. Flavor-wise, it was super tasty and satisfying to the palate. The broth had a rich pork flavor without being overly salty, which made the soup very enjoyable from start to finish. The cheese was a little overwhelming for a ramen dish, but it still blended surprisingly well with the overall flavor profile. Overall, the whole bowl delivered a comforting and satisfying ramen experience that definitely quenched my ramen cravings. I'll surely be back again.

I love this place, this restaurant is always busy. The food is always great! They deserve 4 star reviews, it is a smaller restaurant so you'll be lucky to get to sit down, definitely pick the times where it's slower. The takeouts are most people go to's. I went and grabbed two bowls to go and it was still as good as it was if I was to eat there. I even have my kid stopping in because she loved this place so much. They have something for everyone.

There's a lot of ramen places, but there's not a lot that do it well. I'm surprised to say that Ichiban was one of those. I tried something I normally don't - the milky ramen - which reminded me of a certain kind of carbonara I used to eat in China. It was so fresh and so chewy! I wish I could have had more time/wallet to order more of their menu, but for those who are able, you can't go wrong with anything.

The food was great! I was slightly disappointed when there wasn't poki, or maybe I'm blind? The food I got though, like I said, was great and I would definitely go back to try some ramen. The workers were friendly and there's a chart on how to make/eat ramen which will be helpful. The decor was super cute and cozy! Also, their to-go containers fit in cup holders! #lifehack lol

Surprisingly tasty and well packaged for a take out experience. The website was down so I placed my take out order in person. The wait wasn't too long despite the dinner rush. Everything came out hot and fresh. However, my drink was almost forgotten until I prompted it so I would double check all orders. *Thai Tea: the tea wasn't the strongest and it was a bit heavy on the ice and half and half. It would taste better if the tea was steeped for longer or made up more of the drink. *Edamame: good portion size for the price. These were steamed well and salted generously. *Tonkatsu Ramen: the noodles were on the softer side. The broth was creamy and thick. There was prominent and rich pork flavor and the aromatics shone. The egg was a tad overcooked but there was still a mildly gooey center. The corn and bean sprouts were average but the seaweed added some saltiness and subtle crunch. The chashu was tender but the cut was on the smaller side. There was subtle sweetness but the marinade could have been stronger. The broth was a stand out compared to other restaurants. Everything was priced fairly and the portion sizes were good. Although there were improvements to be made, this was a good option for take out and ramen.

Decided to stop here for some ramen. We went around 12pm and there was a waitlist. Wait time was about 30 mins. The inside is very cozy and I enjoyed the art work. The spot is kinda small but definitely worth it. The spicy tonkotsu ramen was very delicious and flavorful. The pork was tender and tasty. The menu is online and is okay to navigate.

I love this place so so much. I wish I lived farther away because I come way too often. Sometimes it'll be really busy and the wait will be 40ish minutes while other times there's no wait at all! Interior is pretty tiny but it's decorated really well and it isn't too crowded inside. Also, there's an automatic gratuity for parties of 6 or more. Each bowl is around $20 and the portion size is good (but I usually don't have leftovers). There are so many options for ramen. I strongly suggest looking at the charts on the wall explaining each one before making a decision! (Posted a pic of the chart below)

I can never get a picture of my ramen because I eat it too fast! The best ramen in town hands down! This is coming from a huge foodie and ramen lover. One of the few locations in town that offers beef ramen. It's a tight squeeze in here but worth it. No more poki here btw

The place is a little small, and there was going to be a good wait for a table, so we sat at the "bar" which was fine. Our server was really nice and gave grandma vibes, with good service and honest, helpful recommendations. The pork belly is a nice addition as a side and I recommend that. The cantaloupe smoothie was very good as well.

    This curry ramen was fantastic!!!

I decided to step out of the ramen comfort zone and tried the curry ramen. It was amazing!!! It comes with rice on the side too so pouring some of curry on top was delicious. The beef was so tender. Everything was perfect. Now I need to go back to try it again. I love Indian food so it was almost like it covered both my ramen and Indian cravings. I will be going back by the end of the week.

I love coming here for ramen! They have the best spicy tonkatsu. I've tried other places but this place always hits. Super flavorful, great friendly service and is always super quick. This place is pretty small and fills up quickly but also opens up fairly quickly. The calamari tempura is delicious and the shrimp tempura. I like to get a side of kimchi while enjoying my ramen. Pretty neat art work as well.

It was quite an interesting industrial, unfinished aesthetic. Definitely nostalgic and made me miss my fixed up white Acura Integra..ala 2001. Known for its customizable ramen bowls with flavorful broths and a wide variety of toppings, as well as, other menu items like rice bowls, bentos, and dumplings, Tsuchiya Ramen definitely lived up to it's almost 5 star Yelp reviews. The waitress was friendly and the food came out fairly quickly once our order was taken ~ less than 10 mins for sure! I ordered the spicy miso ramen ($17.99) with a sweet corn side (+$1.50) and complimentary topping of the fried garlic. The hakata (thin style noodles) were perfectly cooked, with a lil al dente bit to them. It had all the trimmings that I like ~ green onion, chashu, jammy egg, crunchy wood ear mushrooms, naruto fish cake, marinated bamboo, and nori. The broth was authentic, flavored with such depth. You can really taste the slow-cooked, miso quality in it. I loved the fried garlicky taste too! It was the right level of spice, I didn't even need to add any chili oil, like I usually do. My picky daughter opt'd for the "make your own ramen" option (starting at $12.99) ~ getting the same hakata thin noodle with tonkatsu broth, chashu (+$3.25), fried tofu (+$2.50), and freebie toppings of nori, sesame seeds & fried garlic. My son ordered the OG tonkatsu ramen w/ extra marinated bamboo (+$2) on the side. Lastly, the hubs wanted to eat lighter & healthier, so he opt'd for the teriyaki chicken rice bowl. Everyone loved their meal pick. Dare I say..I even think it ranks better than some of the ramen joints in the OC. Who knew Fresno was poppin' in the foodie dept? Lol A total RxFoodie recommend and I'd return if I'm ever in the area again!

Great tasting ramen!…read more My family and I made this place a pit-stop for dinner on a Sacramento to Los Angeles trip. Our original target was the Fresno location, but due to a GPS entry error, we ended up at their Clovis location! It was a little longer drive than usual, but still well-worth the drive. And besides, we were on a family long weekend break so who cares about distance... Our orders were quickly taken on the counter and we were off to find our table. A lot of places to choose from inside and outside seating was also available. And the place was nicely decorated and well-lit! Feels comfortable to dine inside! The menu was quite expansive. And you even have the choice of minor changes to the regular menu. I ordered an Oxtail Ramen...a first of this kind for me, so I just had to have it. And it passed with flying colors! We both agreed the broth wasn't as hot as we'd like and could use just a touch more flavor. Both were okay, but I preferred my broth more. I wish I paid attention to the fact that mine came with THIN noods though... I feel like I would've enjoyed my dish way more with thick noodles. To be honest, I should have done the build-your-own Ramen and selected everything I wanted myself... now I know. You live and you learn. The Wontons were good but we didn't eat much of it, as it came out the same time as the ramen. Once the ramen was served, our main focus was on that and that filled us up! Packed the rest to go. For this being our first time, it wasn't bad but it didn't wow us. If I'm being honest, so far-- the best Ramen we've ever had was in a small little shop we found while in Thailand back in March (yup, Thailand!). Unfair to this rating maybe? But-- every ramen I try will be compared to that now (sorry, it was THAT good). Until next time, which there will be a next time (just unsure how soon that will be)... they get a middle placement.

The beef was tender, but could have been more flavorful. The noodles were chewy and good. My husband got the Q noodle soup and honestly it wasn't much different from the regular beef noodle soup. Overall, a very decently priced meal bursting with incredible flavor. Would definitely recommend.

We were literally sweating as we were eating. The table ordered a variety of noodle soups and also a lo mein style noodle. All of it was decent-- not super rich but also not lacking flavor. I was disappointed at how rough the chunks of beef were, especially since the beef in noodle soup is supposed to be tendonous and fall apart. As for the service, all the employees were very nice. You can tell this is a family owned and operated restaurant. Unfortunately, we did have to remind our waiter for water and utensils. I would come back and take out, or dine in on a cooler day.
