I was worried about the heat coming from the cover plate to our dining room chandelier, but when I called Ryan at Rio Electric, he explained that some heat was normal when a dimmer is involved. He also gave me a few things to try before sending Dan out. I appreciated that he took the time to explain everything to me. He tried to save us money before sending his electrician out. However, we asked that the dimmer be switched out. Dan was very professional, arrived on time and was quite pleasant. He even straightened out the chandelier and tightened the screws. I've had Ryan from Rio do a couple of jobs for me now and I couldn't be more satisfied. Rio Electric came out to my renovation ran wire for and installed 8 can lights. moved, wired, and installed two fan boxes. Ran wire for and installed a chandelier light box. Ran wire and moved two light switches, added an outlet to a new wall. And moved an outlet after a wall was removed. Very knowledgeable, and listened to our thoughts/concerns/opinions about placement and layout. Very professional and excellent workmanship. We just moved into our newly built home and had a list of electrical items--5 ceiling fans w/ lights, moving light fixtures, 2 outdoor flood lights--to install in prewired j-boxes. Ryan also identified some electrical issues that was covered under our builder and Lowe's warranty. Ryan did a super job, has a lot of creative ideas, knowledgable, and honest. Rio Electric also charges reasonable rates and are upfront about the cost. It's way more cost-effective and reliable to install store-bought fixtures with Rio Electric, than having Lowe's or Home Depot install them. Wow! My husband and I are so impressed! We were not getting power to our pool pump so I did an internet search and saw all the wonderful reviews on Yelp about Rio Electric. Rio Electric was recommended to me by a friend, and so I called Ryan to get pricing for installing new indoor and outdoor lighting, which included two "chandelier" type lights from cathedral ceilings. Ryan responded quickly, gave me pricing, and advised that he was backlogged for about 1-2 weeks, which was okay by me, and GREAT communication by him. We set a date/time, and all the work was completed except the highest chandelier which required a taller ladder. I was extremely impressed with Rio Electric. I needed ceiling fans wired and installed in 3 bedrooms. Danny with Rio was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Despite the lack of attic access he completed the job with minimal need for drywall patching and in a timely manner. Additionally one of the fans proved to be somewhat unsafe due to the vaulted ceiling and rather hanging it anyways he strongly advised against it and suggested I find a different one for the application. Great price, fast service and clean install. We had miscommunication on the placement of a 240v outlet for a tesla charger in the garage and they moved it for me without hassle. The 240v outlet is bigger than your typical 120v outlet so was a little more work. Would highly recommend! read more
