I like Panera personally! Healthy choices , friendly employees. A bit slow in the drive thru but , that's ok !!

I've tried placing multiple orders for a simple loaf of bread through the app--each time only when it's marked as available. And yet, every single time, my order gets refunded. No explanation, no effort to make it right--just a refund and a "too bad" attitude. After the most recent cancellation, I was contacted by the store. The customer service was bare minimum--no apology, no solution offered. I was then passed off to the General Manager, and that's where things went from bad to worse. He was condescending, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. He actually laughed during our call and made it clear that they prioritize bread for sandwich orders, not for customer pickups--so essentially, your scheduled order doesn't matter. This kind of attitude is unacceptable from anyone, let alone someone in a leadership role. A better response would've been to secure the loaf for the following day or any attempt at basic customer care. Love the new location on Route 13, next to Aldi Supermarket, and most especially the drive-thru. I love the "You pick two" for lunch. The Napa chicken salad sandwich tastes so fresh and the side Mac and cheese is just enough. The Agave lemonade is so good. I love how the drive-thru can look up "MyPanera" membership with my phone number. ORDER ONLINE and it's so much cheaper! Its half the price! Waited 10 minutes at the counter, no one came. Asked the employee cleaning the coffee area if anyone was working the counter, she shook her head yes, but no attempt to help find an employee. Meanwhile numerous employees could be seen in the back, but no one came out. I had to go to the pick up counter and ask if someone could wait on me. The young lady that waited on me obviously needs to see an eye doctor, because she had an eye rolling problem. It's a Panera, nothing really new to say. Besides all these new sandwich creations they seem to be pumping out lately-I didn't try any this time, though. This time around, I ordered two cookies and a Chai tea latte. Simple enough. The girl working the cash register accidentally charged me for two chai lattes, no big deal at all. I knew a mistake had been made and was just waiting for my printed receipt to show them. Quickly, the manger was called over and I was refunded my extra $5.00 (for the mistake Chai latte), but no one really said anything. No explanation or apology or anything-it felt kind of odd. At most Paneras I have been to across the country, they'll give you a free cookie or something if there's simply a piece of an order missing. Different business strategies I guess? They give me two Chai lattes at the pick up window anyway, I explained the mistake at the register, and received an upset look by the worker. Not sure why as I didn't make the mistake! Anyways, they took the second Chai back with no words to me at all. What I did take home tasted standard for Panera cookies and drinks. Drive thru- tried to order Bacon turkey bravo but no longer available but was never td had the same thing as a club! Paid 70+ for 3 meals and only received 1/2 of the Italanio sandwich. called and the manager tried to belittle me! Good food is always worth the money but bad service is terrible! I could only give it three stars after experiencing the drive through today. Never use the drive through. Service is super slow and the coffee was room temperature at best. So overrated. I frequently use the mobile app to save time, which actually doesn't save time and causes more frustration for me. Food is meh okay but honestly not worth the cost as of lately. They were busy VERY BUSY, and for a Thursday night, I really can't complain. It's Panera bread. There is nothing special in the menu that you ant get at the next Panera bread in the next town. I must say that what stood out to me was the manager, Gregg. He was skillfully managing a difficult situation with tons of customers and what looked like a missing employee or two. Tried to eat dinner tonight at Salisbury Panera but the chicken noodle soup was literally cold. As it was unsafe to eat I took it back to the service counter and asked them to warm it up. The employee behind the counter snidely told me there was a microwave out front and to heat it up myself. I asked to talk with the manager and he told me the same thing I remarked that this was quite unique. Not only did I pay for my food but I'm supposed to cook it too. Worst place to order Togo. They are notorious with messing up Togo orders. They've messed up my order twice before which I called and they told me to use the managers name next time so I would have my next meal on them. Panera has a great way of maintaining consistency across all of its locations. Regardless of where I am, I know that my favorite (the Bacon Turkey Bravo) is always going to satisfy, while my wife knows her decision to go with their (huge) bread bowls are enough to make sure she never goes home hungry. read more

The food was delicious and the size portions were average. We enjoyed the superb quinoa and lentil bowl with the tender free range chicken and half of the average Frontega free range chicken and cheese panini as the "You pick 2" offer. The small gala apple was naturally sweet, crisp and fresh. It was the free side of my soup bowl. The soba noodle soup with free range chicken was also good. We also tried an assortment of bagels. Our favorite was the indulgent Asagio cheese bagel with plain cream cheese. The latter was tastier than the vegetable cream cheese. I thought the plain cream cheese was over-priced. We joined their loyalty program. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. There was a changing table. The decor was simple, bright and pleasant. The booth was comfortable. The service was fast. The thing that impresses me the most about Panera's, is that it's the cheapest place in town to go to dinner -- yet you don't feel like they've left anything out in the process. The sandwiches are great, and they are usually made to order within a few minutes. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing, and it's located just a few stores down from Barnes and Noble books -- and the Green Turtle. Not a bad location, if I say so myself. I only wish that they still served those great thin crust pizzas that they used to make, but I guess that you can't have it all. It's worth the visit for the vast array of bread, alone. read more

Very busy day over the holiday. Question: If there are three lanes open, but it appears that everyone is organizing into one line.....and then two old ladies just walk straight up to one of the cashiers bypassing everone standing there, but no one says anything to them. If I was by myself, I wouldnt care as much, but with 2 little kids ready to eat, I was a little upset. Not sure if it is stupidity or ignorance. End of rant. Regardless, I like Panera bread since I can eat somewhat healthy there without stuffing my face. I liket o get a bowl of soup and a 1/2 turkey sandwich. I still get the baguette though. I have noticed that since Panarera has gotten popular, the quality has faltered. I felt the same way with Boston Market. Panera is follwoing the same route. They handled the long lines well and I was left wondering how this place would be if there was a mad crowd. My kids are able to get fruit and they have great mac and cheese. This is a good Panera. Nice folks work there. Sometimes the service can be a bit slow, but only occasionally. Food is usually good & consistent. Sometimes, your cinnamon bagel will taste of onion, because it followed an onion bagel in the toaster, but that's pretty much all Paneras. Also, Panera (corporate) changed the cookie recipe for 2017. In some strange attempt to make chocolate chip cookies more healthy (cuz that's what people want, right?) they took an amazing cookie and made it terrible. Not this location's fault, but a tarnish on the Panera brand, nonetheless. Still, this is mostly a good location. It gets busy in there during high-traffic times, so you have to play zone defense to get a table. But it's still kinda worth it. Good place to eat and congregate. read more

VERY irritated...went there on Tuesday evening 11/6 ....not too busy and I've often gone to Panera in my travels. Ordered food to go- all is fine until we are getting our order and I ask if there is a spoon for my soup...with a blank stare the person says..."we're out of spoons". Seriously..."yep, we're out". When I asked how I was supposed to eat the soup he just shrugged and said maybe they have something up front. Up front the girl handed me two metal spoons- I said...are these to go..."no"...well, I have take out. After looking for a while- nope no spoons. A person identified as Manager came up..."sorry I forgot to order spoons." Eventually, after I offered to pay for the metal spoons I was told to go ahead and take them. By the time we got back to the hotel to eat food was cold. What kind of food business forgets to have utensils available? The service here was great. Very friendly cashiers, and of course the food was good. Came for breakfast and had a sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel. The cheese they use for their sandwiches(white cheddar I believe) is what makes the sandwich great. read more
