If you've ever been to Yogurt Land or Menchie's then you can expect a pretty similar experience here (in terms of taste, ambiance, etc). There's nothing that necessarily stands out about Ripple, but if you are in Boulder and are craving frozen yogurt, then this is one of your only options. It'll satisfy your cravings, but don't expect it to blow your mind! read more

Ripple is our favorite. We drive all the way out to Boulder with or without out of state company to come here because it's just superior! They make their flavors (and a range of unique toppings like fudge and truffle and mini cookies) in house; there's so many to choose from and they create such unique flavors and everything is always spot on. They have more than 1 non-dairy option always, and Its also cleaner than most yogurt places as well! If you're looking to amplify your entire froyo experience, then ditch your local chain and start making the drive to ripple. It's worth it!! read more

Went here for a quick date night, had a great time! Assortment of flavors was roughly half gelato/half froyo, and all delicious. Flavor that knocked my socks off was the Banana Nut Muffin Gelato, I can't remember the last time my taste buds enjoyed themselves so much! Toppings were decent, standard for any froyo place. Only knock is that they don't have boba, which is popular. Cleanliness was alright as the tables and topping counters looked like they could have used some love, but we came in closer to closing time and weren't expecting it to be spotless. All in all, hard to be disappointed and a good run-of-the-mill "gelayo" joint! read more

Yummy froyo place with great flavor and toppings selections. They give you three sample cups, with pretty generous in my opinion. I've been here twice already, since finding out about it a couple of days ago. I got 3 flavors in my cup since I'm super indecisive: peppermint patty, cookie butter. And latte. PP and CB I had sampled beforehand and fell in love with. They both tasted spot on, just like York peppermint patties and cookie butter in froyo form. Their textures were also very creamy. Peppermint patty was by far my favorite of the lot, and I usually don't even like mint icecream. Latte, which I just assumed would be good, was a disappointment. It was very icy in texture, and the flavor was just weird, like sour coffee. Perhaps it was one of their non-dairy flavors, I'm not sure. The next time I went, I tried the mango raspberry lemonade, which was refreshing and delish. The flavor, once again, was spot on. Their toppings selection is A+: Girl Scout crunch bars, Oreos, mochi, circus animal cookies, a wide selection of cereals and fresh fruit, homemade brownies, cookies, and caramel sauce just to name a few. This is a great place to go with friends or after a long afternoon ambling around 29th street mall. read more

Having never tried the frozen yogurt craze, my first thought walking in was "WOW!" followed by "now what??" Apparently, the trick is to go with someone who's been before and to have a full stomach so you won't spend $10 on yogurt. Start by sampling the yogurt, go down the line or however you want - a ton comes out with one handle pull so be careful! Pick your favorite flavor(s) - mixing is fine, and then comes the crazy part... Add toppings from tons of locations - the middle section has candies, nuts, etc, the end of the yogurt has syrup, chocolate, and then it leads into baked goods, like brownies and chocolate zucchini bread and finally you hit the fruits. After your bowl is too big and mixed with crazy ingredients, you pay the nice people by the oz. If you check in on Yelp, you get 10% off so when going with a group, be the one to pay and let everyone save! Once you get your yummyness, try to find a table or go for a walk back to 28th street mall, since it's very crowded and you should walk off all the treat stuff anyway. One star off for the expense (no way to weigh as you go) and because I like it, but I don't LOVE it. read more

Went for the first time today and got the banana pudding gelato - it was fantastic! With the large list of toppings it is definitely worth the price and they aren't stingy with anything. Their cute information signs outside made it very covid friendly and were super easy to follow. The workers were also very nice. Great options for different diets. Wish they had more basic flavors of yogurt (plain chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry). However they had very creative flavors that I'm sure many enjoy like green tea flavor. They were lacking some toppings I usually look for at yogurt places, like cherries. They don't post calories on their flavors like other places. I went on a busy afternoon and there seemed to be only one young lady working. Although she was very nice at check out, the tables and floor were starting to lack attention. There was a homeless man at a table who was clearly under the influence of subtance(s) and was falling over and had trouble staying up and was very messy with his yogurt. When the shopping center is busy you will have some trouble finding parking. read more

This place is pretty amazing. So many choices - it can be a little overwhelming. Just get into a groove, use the little sample cups, go to town. My favorite flavor HANDS DOWN is the tart. It is perfect. Second favorite was the Tropical (sugar free, tastes just like orange creamsicle!). They have dairy free/vegan options, sugar free, fat free, gluten free, egg free - epic selection. So many toppings. The little vacuum cleaner that the girls have to use is hilarious as well. Only draw back - so...many...people. I've only been twice, once at peak hours, once right before closing on a Friday night. It was glorious in the later hours - apparently some teenagers still have a curfew thank god. If you go during the day, prepare to get your Lil' Jon on and throw some bows to get to your puppy chow topping. read more

But even more than the cleanliness, I absolutely appreciate and adore the fact that they label flavors and machines with clear allergen info - contains gluten, this machine has had peanuts. After frequenting all the more recently opened froyo places in town... I have to give Ripple props for doing it right. 1) Freshly baked goods kept warm under a heat lamp? Who does that? AWESOME. Today I had pumpkin bread with chocolate chips as a topping. 2) Still one of a very few businesses who openly encourage composting. 3) Flavors that are delicious! They taste like they should, not weird, not runny, like so many other places. Yogurt tastes creamy, not watery. 4) Clean -- even when busy, I see their staff hustling to keep things clean. 5) Space -- to dart in and get samples and dart out... yes, it can get crowded and busy, but generally, I don't have to wait to get a flavor -- sometimes I do have to wait to pay... read more

It's good yogurt, but served deceptively. Note that the per-ounce pricing policy is only posted in a slide-show above the register, at the very end of the line, and they have small/medium/large cups at the start of the line, making you anticipate small/medium/large pricing. As such, if you're hungry and really fill a cup, even the small one, you're in for a $7+ bill when you get to the register, where the only available weigh station is. It seems like they're banking hard on the idea that the sticker shock can only occur when you're already served, unable to put the product back, and hungry. Given that few people can tell how many ounces they have in a cup, let alone when they've got kids filling their own cups, and that the register is often too busy to run weight checks, they've got a great racket going. If they were to put a few self-service scales around the place to enable you to accurately gauge your price, and perhaps post their prices in more than one place (maybe above the cups...), I'd be very much a fan, but as is, I left feeling full of tasty yogurt, but vaguely scammed. Once again, _I have no complaints about the yogurt_, but their business practices left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

It's easier for me to find something I like here. And they have warm peanut butter as a topping! Unlike other reviewers, I have found the cashiers to be friendly, quick and upbeat every time I've visited. And I've always managed to find a seat! Love, thy name is Ripple! I wish I lived in Boulder so I could go here everyday. It's a little pricey... 44 cents an ounce pricey... 14 cents more than Yogurtland pricey... BUT they do use local organic milk, and for what you get I think it's totally worth it. Tons of flavors. And they're true to what they are. The Mango tastes like Mango. The green mint really does taste like green mint. The tart is AMAZING, the best tart I've ever had. And a yogurt place only gets five stars if their tart is perfect in my book. I love the way they have their toppings set up, too. It's not all in one line. You have vertical dispensers full of cereal and granola, nerds, etc behind the yogurt. Then some more dry toppings at the end of that station. Then more towards the register you've got your hot fudge, magic shell, WARM CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES, brownies, etc, more fresh fruit, more toppings. It never ends. It's awesome. I just love Ripple. BF had been promising me there was a FroYo place going in by King Sooper's for months and I had completely forgotten about it. Yesterday, some friends and I were actually at the grocery store and we decided we HAD to have some. I went in expecting the typical Pinkberry treatment: long lines, tiny amount of carefully-placed toppings, and steep prices. What I got was the exact opposite. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of both froyo flavors AND toppings. I think I counted more than a dozen flavors flavors: tart (my 2nd favorite), mandarin orange, black raspberry, peanut butter, blackberry (my top pick), chocolate, peppermint, pumpkin pie, cheesecake, cookies n' cream, cupcake batter, something pommegranate, and some other fruity one. Needless to say, we tried just about all of them and they were all delicious! I went back today (no judging) and they had some different flavors, too. Their selection of toppings blows Pinkberry out of the water. I love the variety and the fact that you are free to add as much or as little as you want. They even have REAL hot fudge (not chocolate-flavored syrup)! Lots of candy, cereal, nuts, fruit, sauces... I had to stop myself before I got out of control. The price ($0.44 per ounce) is awesome. 'Nuff said. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better dessert deal than Ripple. I love the design aesthetic and that they seem to be really eco-friendly. The only (minor) downside is that there needs to be more seating. It wasn't really a problem at the end of February, but come summertime Ripple is going to be at max capacity. read more

Ripple Pure probably has every topping you'd ever want on top of frozen yogurt, so if that's your concern, worry not. I went here a short while ago to sate my annual 'froyo' desire, and it certainly worked for me. As I'm much more of a fan of the fruity selections for yogurt and toppings, I was happy to square away a small tropical bucket of assorted yogurt and sorbet covered in a mountain of fruity toppings (plus cheesecakes, of course). I can't say I expected a palate catharsis, but I definitely wasn't disappointed either. Not only was it delicious, it was also refreshing. However, my brother is much more of a chocolate and sweets fanatic, and after filling his cup with birthday cake, cookie batter, and triple chocolate, he poured on the candy toppings. He was disappointed. Whether it was bad luck or the nature of the beast - so to speak, the yogurt was instantly melting into liquid, it was far too sweet, and he couldn't finish it off for the life of him. Leaving, he was embarrassed to have just spent $10 on 'that mess'. There's a lesson here, somewhere... Anyways, the verdict seems to be that this place is a great option to get your frozen yogurt fix, but definitely take the time to sample the flavors before you pour them in your cup. Some of these yogurts are less viscous and refined than you might have hoped. read more

My sister dragged me in here to get FroYo and I was happy I came! Ripple has an assortment of flavors and toppings that rotate weekly to make each visit different. My favorite yogurt flavors were the tiramisu and cookie butter. Several of the options they had were organic as well. The topping selection was crazy ranging from an assortment of hard candies to gluten free brownies and fresh baked cookies. The reason for the four star rating was the staff was not friendly and in the back most of the time. This is the best FroYo in Boulder, so if you have a sweets craving but want to stay relatively healthy, this is the place. read more

Had a donut craving tonight à la Liz Lemon, and disappointed by the donut shop options in this town (NONE...where's Dunkin Donuts? I thought America Runs on Dunkin'? Apparently not Colorado.) and headed to King Soopers to satisfy my craving. I rolled up in the parking lot and saw a shiny bright white light of sweetness possibilities. Ripple? What is this new place? I walked right in and was in awe of all the varieties of toppings and flavors. The yogurt is from a Boulder company which is great and it was all tasty. They lose a star because of the confusion I had walking in. They just need a giant sign saying, "Help yourself!" It was pretty obvious but I wasn't sure what to do when I walked in. And as someone said before, nutrition info would be a plus, but it wasn't something I was too worried about. Although I'm sure Boulderites would appreciate it. I did love the water with the lemons and strawberries floating in it! Not sure why someone would open up a frozen yogurt shop in January in Colorado, but at 5 minutes before closing at 10 pm on a Wednesday night this place was busy as ever. Ripple is nostalgia for me more than anything. When it opened, I was just a mere high school student and the froyo craze had just begun. My friends and I would always make froyo stops when we finally got our licenses as little sophomores, since it was so close to our school. A couple years later, I'm a college student and still a fan of ripple frozen yogurt. Hands down though, this is probably the best froyo in Boulder. It's not too busy with their flavors that some froyo locations like to offer in order to confuse you into submission. Just the classic or straightforward good stuff. I'm crazy about almond flavored things and I've never discovered another place that carries that flavor other than ripple so ripple's got the monopoly on that flavor profile! Although I'm not saying it's THE best froyo I've ever tried because I've certainly tasted better in Denver or outside Colorado, but ripple reigns as king in Boulder, in my opinion. read more

Ripple is my favorite FroYo place in the world. And I've tried my fair share. Here's what sets it apart from the rest: The Yogurt: it is fresh, real, and full flavor. It doesn't leave a funny aftertaste or taste full of sugar or artificial stuff. My wife put it best when she said "you know the yogurt is good when you eat around the toppings." AND The Toppings: NO other FroYo place comes close! The fresh, warm, gooey cookies and brownies are unstoppable. The homemade sauces and the fresh, real fruit are the perfect addition to any flavor of yogurt. Not to mention the grand selection of healthy or sweet or salty options. So with the best yogurt AND the best toppings you cannot go wrong. Add in plenty of parking, open, bright space, seating inside and out, and an effort to compost... I am in love. A friend took me here the other day, maybe it was an early birthday celebration. I wasn't hungry, not even for a light dessert, however I got a half full cup with the pineapple fro yo (excellent!), a colourful crunchy topping with quinoa in it, raspberries, and blueberries. Soooo good! The teengers were there, and many others; it was quite crowded. However the space here is set up so people can get through in a smooth efficient way. It was a friendly, quick moving crowd so it was not a problem to deal with. I like the place. They have plenty of choices for diabetics too, which is majorly nice. I'll keep coming back. read more
