The reason we keep going to Freddy's is for the custard. If you have never had custard, think ice cream but only creamier. I am addicted to it. I don't think I will ever look at ice cream the same way again after having something soooo much better. There are only 2 flavors, vanilla & chocolate but, when you add the extras or get one of their signature choices (the brownie one is my go to) you have everything you need for a good time. Beyond my custard obsession, I need to make sure I give kudos to the staff. They are so friendly and attentive that you feel like a special guest. That and the food makes Freddy's a place that has to be on your list if you want to treat yourself to a great meal.

Ordered the single instead of a double California burger combo to save a few calories, but there was no change in price. Hubby had the single as well, standard Freddy's burger with large fries and drink. Most of the booths were taken but we managed to grab one after someone left. Most tables didn't look wiped down but we assumed it was due to lunch rush. Food came out quickly. The burgers were stacked with fresh and crispy lettuce. Mine had a stack of onions and tomatoes that were sliced and stacked. The fries were cooked to utter perfection, heavily seasoned (more than usual), but I loved it. Few things occurred that forced me to give a lower rating than I typically would give: 1. The regular fry sauce-for some odd reason we kept finding packs that had this oily, spongy orange slick on top of each sauce when we opened them. We thought it was just separation, but once we stirred the sauce it just made it worse. We had to open 5 packs until we found one we could use, but even then it was this odd dark orange color. Tasted fine but it was just unusual. 2. Looks like they removed Diet Pepsi from the fountain? Seriously?!? There's two Pepsi fountains, Pepsi zero and cherry Pepsi but no diet. I came to the drive thru very sad because due a recent separation, I suddenly had to pack up and move to Washington. I ordered an iced maple caramelicious coffee and a candy cane forest cinnamon roll before hitting the road and at the window Melissa asked how my day was and she could tell instantly that I wasn't feeling my best, she held my hand as I was crying and the other gals getting my order together threw in some mini donuts with my cinnamon roll and wrote sweet messages on my coffee cup and bag.. then Melissa came out to give me a big hug and prayed for me ! I appreciate that so much, you have no idea! I hope I can return in the near future and if Melissa is still there when I do, I want to leave her a BIG tip for her kindness.. this was the absolute BEST customer service and if she isn't already a manager, she should be! If I come back to live in Nampa, this will always be my coffee spot because of this one interaction today.I highly recommend coming here over any other coffee shop in Nampa... This joint is so much fun. You walk in and you're instantly bombarded with all these fun goodies to look at. Candles, socks, mugs, candy, stickers. As much as I needed that drink, I had to look and touch everything first! I love all the fun things they have out. You can literally spend a good hour checking out every piece of retail available! It was hard not to pick, touch or smell everything! Made my way up to the counter. The first thing you notice is all the baked goods. The display case was full of delicious treats. Every pastry looked divine. That's one thing about Flying M, it's a guarantee that your baked goody is going to be out of this world tasty! I have yet to have a bad pastry at a Flying M. It was finally my turn to order my drink, everyone came in all at once. I was greeted by a handsome smile. I ordered my regular drink when I spec out new spots. So today I got an iced americano with sugar free chocolate with room for cream. I made sure it was a large, I needed a good jolt of caffeine. Bro, this americano was money. The espresso was strong and not watered down. I added the cream so it was the perfect amount. I did add a couple packets of Splenda cause the espresso was not shy in this drink. It was so good! I sat outside and enjoyed it. It was the perfect day to enjoy an iced coffee under the warm sun. Flying M downtown Boise should take come customer service pointers from this joint. It's night and day. I stopped going to the Flying M downtown because the customer service was so inconsistent. Some days they were so nice and then some days the baristas were so rude. I had such a great experience here. The venue is fun. The gentleman that helped me was so nice! My drink was on point! I'm happy I stopped in today. My wife ordered the carne asada, which was flavorful and well-seasoned. It came with a chimichurri sauce that made the dish come alive. Everybody raves about the authenticity and flavor of the food. Empanadas, tamales, and fried plantains stand out in particular. People also favored guava juice and unique drinks such as tamarillo and maracuya juices. Portions are large; platters can be shared. The place is warm, well-organized, and inviting, which makes me feel at home. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting, providing a great dining experience. I was not disappointed from the moment I was on the phone ordering the cake with the friendly server to when I picked it up and she offered fresh tamales and all kinds of delicious baked goods I was sold. We were blown away by how delicious the cake was as it melts in your mouth. The staff here is amazing and the products they sell are also amazing and delicious. Run don't walk to this gem of a bakery!
