The three kinds of fish is a light appetizer, and would appeal to anyone who enjoys sushi. The braised beef melts in your mouth and swims in a mushroom and black truffles gravy. The Fettuccine Safron is lightly coated in a cream sauce. I greatly appreciate how clear and easy to read the menu is. Every allergen is clearly indicated. I highly recommend this restaurant to those who are looking for a modern spin to Italian classics. Very accommodating for our large party. Usually the places with people outside trying to lure you in are a no-go, but this restaurant was actually really nice! Located in the heart of Venice, it is difficult to find. But it is worth it! No wait on a party of 11. Food came quickly. Restaurant is extremely clean and modern. Indoor and Outdoor seating. Only gripe is that we were brought packets of oil and vinegar for our bread instead of bottles. read more

It was great pizza (like in the U.S., not all pizza in Itlay is worthwhile). Among us, seven different choices, but a single reaction: enjoyment and satisfaction. Good food and great friendly service! Food I ordered the tuna carpaccio. The tuna was a bit too try to my liking, but it was pretty good. The red pepper flakes added great texture. Both my girlfriend and her daughter were very happy with their food. Service The two waiters who waited on our table were helpful and very friendly. My girlfriend and I like drinking coffee with heavy whipping cream, but nobody does that in Italy. The closest we can get is "panna," whipped cream. Although caffe con panna was not on the menu, our waiter was receptive to our request: "Why not" Ambience If you see their sign, you would probably think this is an old grungy restaurant. However, it's a very clean modern restaurant. I would not call it "intimate" or "classy" but it could even work for a nice date. Recommendation Although their food may not wow you, the quality is solid. Service is quick (relatively speaking) and friendly. Maybe it's a good seafood place but not so much for vegetarian dishes. Ordered aubergine ravioli and I can say the ravioli from Trader Joe's tastes better. The vegetarian pizza was good but nothing compared to pizzas in Florence area. read more

I don't understand why this place has so many rave reviews. It looks cute but we felt incredibly rushed by the staff & ultimately the food was lackluster. We got the scallops for appetizer, a couple were cooked well. The pizza is so thin yet soggy. Sadly this was the most disappointing meal we had in our entire trip through Italy. read more

The food is good here! But this place gets 5 stars for their service! This is a great place to stop and you even see some of the local shop owners eating lunch here. I had a pizza and a Bellini which were good. Especially the Bellini! Come by if you are near downtown! read more

We were here last night for our last night in Venice after walking and searching and searching and more walking. We finally decided on this place because of the reviews. However, I disagree with most of them. Our waiter wasn't very kind at all. I still tipped him 20 euros because he said he was having major back pain. I ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara and it was very dry and noodles weren't fresh. My husband got the lobster fettuccine and he liked it once he added his own seasoning. Such a bright lit, friendly place. It had an overall good vibe for dinner with lots of busy tables of people of all ahes enjoying themselves. We started with the Cesar salad which was good but WAY too big. Be prepared to share it! I have the fettuccine madragola which was a different dish but had delicious flavor. If it was possible to give a restaurant more than 5 stars, this would be one of those rare occasions I would do so!!! I have nothing but good to say about this place. The decor is simple, modern, but well appointed and comfortable. What makes this extraordinary is the food AND the service. From the moment we walked in the door and warmly greeted, it felt good. Sergio, our waiter, was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes. He was a pleasure, plain and simple. And the food was VERY well done!! My meal started with baked scallops as an appetizer... which melted in my mouth. Sorry, but they didn't last long enough for a photo. My partner had the Veal Milanese, with roasted potatoes and tomatoes, and she Val aimed it was the best she's ever had. And it was a huge piece of meat!! I had the Spaghetti Alla Scogliera - spaghetti with mixed seafood. The spaghetti was freshly made directly from the restaurant, and combined with a perfect fish sauce, it was sensational. Finally, Crema Al Mascarpone was a perfect ending: creamy, with a hint of lemon, paired deliciously with berries!! A MODERN take on a classic trattoria. Real thought went into designing the space. A sleek and modern interior breaks onto an elegant back patio. In Venice, this takes some moxy. In a region that markets itself on its historical significance/relevance this helps bring this city forward a bit The wait staff are impeccably mannered and attentive, especially "Slim". We were warmly welcomed with glasses of Prosecco and fruit drinks for our children. The wine list is selective and somewhat pricy but totally legitimate. Regional varietals are focus with the obligatory big names present to lend an unnecessary touch of legitimacy. Food: the margarita pizza is by miles the best in the city. I stand by this assertion unequivocally. Not strictly DOC, a less traditional approach but a good thing with kids. The Pomodoro was as simple as it was elegant. The most complex dish on the current menu the Milanese was served with freshly cut potato slices were flash fried not deep fried. ... I wish I could write more. We walked by in our rounds of shopping and I thought it looked cute. So we went in for a snack and glass of wine. Pizza was good better than average but not the best I've had. We really enjoyed our experience here! My husband and I went for dinner our first night in Venice and had a wonderful time! We were greeted enthusiastically by our waiter and enjoyed excellent service throughout. The food was fresh, and delicious! I had the mushroom ravioli which was one of my favorite meals on the whole trip, and I would highly recommend it. They have a great wine and liquor collection. The waiter was very helpful in guiding our choices for drink and food. The decor is modern, and the place has a very clean feel to it. It does feel a bit like they are aiming for tourists, but I definitely didn't feel taken advantage of/like I fell for a tourist trap. Would recommend for a nice dining experience! read more

This is a nice place to get away from the crowds. I had the 4 something pizza that was three meats and mushrooms it was good. Sit in the back plaza if you can. They are fairly attentive waiters which is nice cuz that's an issue in Italy. Reasonably priced food in a quiet restaurant. Restroom is upstairs and the light is motion sensor so make sure you move around when using it or you will be in the dark. read more

No complaints for our first restaurant in Venice. We had a relaxing dinner with attentive and kind wait staff. We each had a glass of the house red - a nice dry merlot-like wine. My wife had the mushroom ravioli and I had a margarita pizza. It's a little hidden and just outside the crazy tourist area. Would definitely go back. read more

Great classy resto - excellent refuge from the noisy busy touristic streets of Venice, with airco, space to breathe and kind service. Yes, a bit pricier than other touristic places around, but worth it. So classy there is no kids menu but I didn't drop any stars for that - 2 kids shared the Escalope milanese (€24) which they loved. Black spaghetti SEPPIE (€17) is delicious, and the Cesar chicken salad(€14) was super. Even the coffee (€2.5) smelled divine. Service is as high as 12%(!) but c'est la vie (or c'est Italy). read more

Don't waste your time or money. This is day twelve on our Italy tour and this is by far our poorest dining experience yet. The best part of the meal was the bill because it was finally over. The cod crostini prepared 3 ways appetizer, which came recommended from the staff, was equivalent to a can of Fancy Feast. Please pass, especially at 20 euros. My wife ordered the lobster pasta which looked and tasted far below average when compared to lobster pasta dishes we've enjoyed from our trip. The squid ink pasta was also below average. The ink seemed to be used more as a colorant than anything else. The pasta lacked the silky brininess that is accustomed to such a dish. Essentially it was black pasta, with runny tomatoes, and very chewy cuttlefish. Again I would not recommend this place at 90 euro per couple. Furthermore this was the first place in Italy that charged a 12% service fee. Try elsewhere. read more
