    Food was pretty good and not too overfilling. Everything was flavorful and served warm. The menu doesn't do a good enough job describing some of these dishes. The feature pasta with truffles was the highlight of our visit. Service was great and everyone was attentive. The server was able to give some good suggestions. The restaurant was a nice size. The tables were close enough together that you could call it intimate. They have a large party room with doors that keep all the noise out of the dinning room. The bathrooms were decently cleaned. They don't have paper towels though, only an air dryer for your hands. Their cocktails weren't very exciting or enticing so we settled for wine.

    Oh how I have missed his restaurant!!! It's been toooooo long! Give us came here for restaurant week. I ordered the beet and peach salad, pappardelle, and lemon panna cotta. The salad was huge and very tasty. The pappardelle noodles melted in my mouth and meat was hearty. Dessert delicious. Got to put this place back in the rotation!!!

    A beautiful northern Italian restaurant that I have to go to every month. The staff, the som, the bartenders, servers- everyone is amazing and attentive. They are kind and the food never misses. The agnolotti is a not to miss, and the scallop appetizers or the tonno are so good. They do seafood, pasta, proteins, and desserts extremely well. There's little bites from the chef in the beginning and sometimes an extra dessert

    On a business trip and definitely a unique experience! Our local host coordinated with several of her friends from college and this was our third leg of a great three nights of fantastic dining! She negotiated with the restaurant to score us a late reservation at 6:00 and got us in! The restaurant was a really fun experience and the inside of the restaurant was very comfortable. On with the food. I opted to skip the appetizers but my fellow guests sampled the list but I did try a piece of the focaccia basket. Very soft bread with a nice shell. The flavors were something else as the tomatoes baked in the bread and the fresh herbs just made it something so special. Others tried the tartare and the prosciutto dish. For my dinner, I wrestled with so many great choices - my table ordered the veal chops and I went with the Tagliata di Manzo! It was incredible and cooked perfectly. The mushroom and flavor of the meat with the two purées made it pop. The meat was so tender and packed with flavor. I again skipped desserts but the table raved about the tiramisu... until my next trip to DC!

    Great luxe restaurant in downtown dc. Get a reservation first before you cone here. They have a good wine list and great options on the entrees. All the food we ordered were specials but were amazing. The salad was very fresh and delicious. The dessert was also great. I got a truffle pasta that was good as well, not super strong on the truffle flavour but very dense and creamy.

Let me start by saying that the atmosphere in this restaurant is one that is so welcoming the minute you arrive. I approached the hostess stand to inquire if there was bar seating available to which the polite hostesses provided a gentle hand gesture and oral direction to the bar. While walking to the bar area, I encountered what I presume to have been a server who was likely standing watch from a distance over his service area, who apologized as our paths met. (There was no reason to apologize, very polite nonetheless) I found a seat at the bar and was greeted by Paul. Paul was an exceptionally pleasant and answered all my immediate questions while preparing my initial cocktail during happy hour. We discussed the menu and he provided great insight which helped finalize my decision for the evening . In the meantime, bar manager Laura stopped by to ensure that I was taken care of to which I informed her that Paul and I spoke and he is making a beverage for me. For the food...the Caesar Salad is #1. I am a food snob and this salad HITS!! While enjoying my salad I inquired about their cast bourbon selection. The staff was very knowledgeable and provided a price list to coincide with their higher end selections. My 40 layer lasagna arrived some time in the midst of the conversation where Paul extended a courtesy sampling of a wine that he recommended that pairs nicely with my meal. It was perfect. I closed out my meal with an espresso type martini, at which time Paul and Laura further extended and offered me a sampling of one of the bourbons I was looking at. I cannot say enough about this establishment. I can't wait to go back and have already recommended via phone conversations to three people and I just left. The evening and encounter was more than just pleasantries with a customer, rather I felt as if I was the only one. If the owner or manager is reading this, Paul and Laura are 10+ and I will be back. It's sort of like a vodka sauce that mated with lobster, and it was delicious, but it was quite rich and heavy. We did like it though. Dessert was where we went all out with the strawberry cheesecake, the pistachio strawberry mousse cake, and the dark chocolate mousse cake. The one that had pistachio was terrible--everything tasted artificial and the texture wasn't right. The chocolate one was OK. Luckily the cheesecake was where it was at. It's not Junior's-level or anything, but compared to the other two, it stood out. We're glad we came here to have tried it once and we had a good time as a family, so it'll be a fond memory. When it finally arrived, it came without the chicken, while the original chicken that had arrived late was now cold as well. At that point we didn't even eat the meal. The waitress said the replacement pasta was "on the house," which was a strange thing to point out since it was replacing a meal that was prepared incorrectly. To make matters worse, when the bill arrived, we were still charged for the original Alfredo and the added chicken. Unfortunately, this experience left us frustrated, and we left without enjoying the meal we came for.
