Ordered takeout Saturday night. I called two hours before I planned to pickup. My COMPLETE order was ready when I arrived. The chicken quesadilla was the best I've ever encountered! My husband had the Chicken Cheese Fries and was very satisfied with his food. Of course the servings are large and we had enough leftoversfor Sunday lunch too! Their guacamole is A+. read more

This is a great spot for casual dining in Corydon. Its one of my top three restaurants here - along with 1816 and Bistro on Chestnut. Food is delicious and portions are generous. Margaritas are freshly made and rival the ones we get in much fancier places. Go Rita's!!! read more

Wow! I kept passing by this little place on my commute and they were always busy. Stopped in tonight and ordered to go canita and chicken tacos. This was the best take out I remember ever having! Delicious corn tortillas and the best filling!! And all the sides carefully packed including a slice of lime. The 'side' bag of chips was huge. Everything seemed made to order and home made (with love) as well. Delicious, great prices, beautiful servers, authentic to the core. Really tasty food but my steak was very rough and difficult to cut up. They didn't bother to cut it up for me and the steak knife wasn't strong enough to do so either. Other than that everything was good. read more

The waiter was very friendly. The salsa was just the right amount of spicy. My husband had a fish taco and a shrimp taco and said both were delicious. I had the beef taco salad and it was fresh and had plenty of meat. We are planning on stopping by on our way back home. read more

Small little fast food kind of place... Sweet waitress, and got food portions for your money. The beef taco was good... the only thing I thought that was strange was that adding tomatoes to a salad or tacos or anything, cost you more money. Usually a really great spot. Service is generally pretty quick and the tacos are authentic. However, we have been sitting here for 30 mins waiting for an order of 4 tacos... not sure what is going on. The server is not attentive (again this is not typical but sheesh!). Really disappointed with the quality of the Mexican food. I ordered rice, beans, enchiladas with a ground beef taco. Due to a mix up in my order I had been waiting an extended amount of time (40 mins). My food finally came out, and the first thing I notice is the over abundance of lettuce on top of my enchiladas. The enchiladas were topped with red sauce and tasted bland. The beans tasted like they had been burned. The taco was greasy and the tortilla was falling apart. The rice also lacked flavor. Service was mediocre for such a small facility with a minimum amount of patrons. Having been to other Mexican restaurants this was a huge disappointment. Definitely will not be going back to this restaurant again! read more

Read a few reviews and if this is "good Mexican food" to Louisville, I am so sorry this is your experience. I had mediocre enchiladas, which they threw a large and unnecessary amount of lettuce on top of, and the most bland beans and rice I've ever tasted. The only redeeming thing was the peach cake. read more

This is a great place for Mexican cuisine, you get plenty of great food, service was very good, friendly and fast. Quaint little place with nice decor. The prices were also very good too! this was really good! i was thoroughly impressed by the restaurant. when you walk in, there isn't much greeting so we weren't 100% sure if we sat ourselves or if someone sat us. after sitting down we realized that there was a sign but it was not obvious immediately. the staff was very nice & our waiter did a very good job! we ordered and got our food fairly quickly. the chicken burrito was very good! chicken was not chewy or over cooked, it was nearly perfect. the rice was a plus in the burrito and the queso on top was just right. everything was great & completely reasonably priced. another thing is that it wasn't crazy and obnoxiously loud. we could hear ourselves speak and think. el nops, rita's taco shop is coming for you. read more
