Had I known the bean dip was nothing more than a large queso with some beans tossed in it we wouldn't have ordered the other queso. It was delicious for sure. There was 3 of us so we ordered the big size of the chicken fajitas and the regular of the steak. I got the chicken fajita nachos & they were the best I've ever had! They have a large version & a small one & the small one was enough for me. My friend got the Enchiladas Mexicanas & she said they were awesome! The 3 enchiladas had a different sauce on them so they looked like the Mexican flag. It only took me 30 minutes to get there from my house. The same amount of time it takes to go to the east end to eat. I will definitely be back to try something else delicious! My wife had Flautas Mexicanas with guacamole sour creama and pico de gallo. Her plate looked spectacular, I had Carnitas with tortillas plate, we also ordered a side of Mexican rice and beans as her plate did not come with that. My plate looked pretty plain but the taste was great! Both plates had good portions, hot chips and the usual salsa, good flavor, no heat. The service was attentive and the decor was what to be expected. However, the wait staff and kitchen keep up despite the crowds. They had the TVs on the sports channels, while I'm not a huge fan of sports, it made for a friendly environment. So my mother and I visited this place yesterday (8/26/22), and we LOVED it. So this was actually the second place we visited that afternoon (due mainly to the fact that the first one looked like it wasn't passing any health codes). But we're both pretty glad that El Molino was our final choice. To start, the food is SUPER fresh and flavorful. We both ordered different types of nachos and they were covered in vegetables of all kinds, alongside flavorful meats, cheeses and seasonings. Everything came out very quickly and the waitstaff were very attentive. The lady who served us was very kind. As for the authenticity of the food, it was pretty spot-on. As a former Texan, I'm quite particular about Tex-Mex cousine. But these nachos were pretty dang close to what they serve in Texas. If I had to find a downside, it would be the the bathrooms. Although they were sufficiently clean, the restrooms were very small and cramped. Additionally, there was no toilet paper in the stall I chose. But that might be on me. Eh, go figure. This ended up being a great choice, as El Molino provided solid Mexican food to put me into an El Food Coma. I went with the Quesadilla Mexicana (w/Steak.) The 'dilla came in a nicely grilled flour tortilla and was appropriately stuffed with ingredients. Honestly, the grilled tortilla was my clue that El Molino wasn't any ordinary Mexican place. The Spanish rice and refried beans were the perfect sides. I was left so full I didn't know what to do with the large bag of tortilla chips and salsa that also came with the meal.
