This is hands down the worst Rite Aid pharmacy I have ever been too. I once called and waited 15 minutes on hold only for me to call from a different phone and get serviced (of course only after waiting another 5 minutes). Recently I refilled my prescription online and went to pick it up 12 hours later only for me waiting ten minutes to get help that they did not have any medication. After asking why they didn't have any, the lady went back and long story short, gave me 3/30 pills. Then she wanted to charge me as I said I couldn't come back to that store because I was driving north. Fast-forward to three days later, I try to refill my prescription in my hometown yet they said they can't because it is already 'open' in the BH Rite Aid. After waiting for another five minutes for this Rite Aid to pick up, I inform them that I would like my prescription cancelled. I thought that was all but NO. I call the Rite Aid in my hometown and they said BH BILLED ME FOR THREE PILLS. Now they want to charge me $99 for medicine that is free because of my insurance. I can't believe this pharmacy I will never in my life set foot in this store again. I am currently waiting (I've been on hold for four minutes already) and am trying to get this shitty pharmacy to un-bill me. Update: After 'talking' with the manager (barely spoke a sentence to him) he immediately transferred me back to pharmacy. I was on the phone for 10 minutes when I decided to call from the house phone yet still have my cell phone on hold. After six minutes of ringing my HOUSE PHONE CALL was picked up, not my cell phone which had been on hold for seven minutes. This place has the worst customer service it is unbelievable. read more

Ice cream is supposed to be fun. But not at the Rite Aid on Canon. I live in the neighborhood, and decided when I moved here--about 3 months ago--to make this pharmacy my home base only because it is 24 hours and there aren't many 24-hour pharmacies in the neighborhood. But basically, to be less than articulate, this place blows. I've had all my monthly prescriptions transferred elsewhere. I'll start with the most recent offense--yesterday. My fiance and I went to drop off a prescription, and while we waited for it to be filled, we headed over to the ice cream counter because Rite Aid ice cream is, surprisingly, the best--but not if they won't serve it to you. The store was not very busy and it seemed well-staffed, but we waited at the counter for more than ten minutes while numerous employees walked by and said nothing. Finally, we approached a woman at a cash register, who dismissed us and told us to find the manager, a blonde middle-aged woman wearing black, who, it turned out, was working behind the front-most register, selling cigarettes to a very small woman with a purple hat. We politely waited for the manager to finish, and then asked if we could get someone to help us at the ice cream counter. She mumbled something unclear into the loudspeaker and then proceeded to abandon us. We waited another five minutes and then politely asked her, again, if we could just get some help. She seemed annoyed, and said there was nothing she could do. Like I said, ice cream is supposed to be fun. At this point, I had already waited 20 minutes, and it didn't feel fun anymore, so I walked across the street to Baskin Robbins and bought a cup of ice cream. I was in and out of that store in less than one minute--no joke. Yes, I paid twice as much for that scoop of ice cream, but my time is valuable. But--on to another Rite Aid transgression. A couple of weeks ago I was so sick that I couldn't speak, and I needed to pick up my antibiotics, so my fiance called the store and was transferred to the pharmacy. The meds were not ready when they were promised. Okay, no big deal--it happens. We were told to call back in an hour. We gave them two hours and then called back. The guy in the pharmacy answered and put us on hold for 20 minutes. When he picked up again (same guy!) he didn't even remember that we had been waiting. He put us on hold again--this time for 14 minutes. He picked up a third time and tried once more to put us on hold, but my fiance insisted that he answer our very brief question and told him that it was unacceptable for a pharmacy technician to make a patient hold for 34 minutes. In short, this place is a dump--from the prescription counter to the ice cream counter. As much as I hate leaving a 24-hour pharmacy, I'm afraid my relationship with this store has come to an end. read more

The Ink of pharmacies: Rite Aid Beverly Hills. My pharmacy was closed for the holiday weekend so I called into Rite Aid Beverly Hills. There were only about four customers there and a full pharmacy staff, yet it took 50 minutes to get my prescription that was called in the day before. Around me there was screaming, threats, and ongoing demands for the manager, followed by persistent lies by the pharmacy staff. Every sentence started and finished with "thank you for your patience." Staff called floor manager over and they huddled said nothing could be done then laughed. Plenty of apologies but that's not helping a bunch of angry, coughing sick people are just standing here. Going on 45 mins and counting. People are yelling. Nothing is happening. 1 hour 30 mins waiting. Plus don't expect any privacy. The people behind the counter are loudly sharing people's names, birthdays and prescription info between themselves- so unprofessional. read more

Great experience every time I'm at this RiteAid. The store is clean, well lit & organized. It makes shopping there efficient and easy. The employees there definitely surpassed my expectations. They were very friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. I had to walk home with giant rolls of TP and paper towels & the ladies there taped them to make handles so I didn't have to look like a hot mess carrying them home through the streets of Beverly Hills. I think one of their names were Ana and another lady who worked in the front I didn't catch her name. They were awesome. They also talked me into getting some ice cream, which I did and it was sure a great idea. I'll be back! read more

After being hung up on twice by CVS, the only other 24-hr pharmacy in my area, Rite Aid saved the day. They didn't make me wait, they took my insurance over the phone and once I showed up with the Rx, they filled it withtin 5 minutes and explained how to use it. read more

I guess how you respond to a pharmacy/convenience store like Rite Aid will largely depend on your reason for going there. If you're in need of prescription meds in Beverly Hills, the possibilities are endless: CVS on Doheny, Walgreens on Robertson, Mickey Fine...another Rite Aid just a few blocks away from this one all come to mind. All of them are roughly the same in terms of stock and wait time. But if you're in need of something more, this Rite Aid seems to have a larger selection of everything - from grocery items, to magazines, to their 'award winning' ice cream, which I love. Not surprisingly given the location, there are generally at least a few really pleasant-looking people shopping there (I'm not saying the crowd is as hot as at the Whole Foods a block away on Crescent Drive, but...). The parking is free (make sure to validate your ticket inside). The lines are long. The service is slow. It helps to be bi-lingual. Guess what? It's a Rite Aid, you shouldn't expect much more. read more

This is for the pharmacy only. OVERALL, HORRIBLE AND AWFUL. Seriously, the worst pharmacy I've ever seen in my life. My grievances? I've spoken to doctors to verify prescriptions are called in, only to have them tell me that they are not. I've then called back said doctor offices, checked with Rite Aid AGAiN and the magical prescriptions still don't exist. Of the 8 people that are usually behind the counter, every person you talk to will tell you a completely different status of whether or not you have prescriptions available. Hope you pick the right one. 6/8 times, you won't (To the 2 people that are actually competent, THANK YOU. I would tell you who they are but since I've only spoken to them on the phone, I only know it's one young woman and one young man.). Have you had a pharmacist call you and leave a message? You better call back before they leave--- they make no notes on your file so if you call after that pharmacist leaves, they have no idea why you were called in the first place. Also, when I was there last time they FILLED THE WRONG PRESCRIPTION FOR A CUSTOMER who understandably, was visibly upset. I can deal with the lines and wait (it's usually busy), but I can't deal with complete incompetence. Also, last time, a dog peed in the pickup line and I had to tell them to clean it up. I'm not holding that against them, but I'm just trying to paint a metaphorical picture for what your experience will be like if you go there. I just wish this pharmacy would realize they're dealing with medication--- something super important, and in some cases, the difference between life and death. Does that not mean anything? AVOID THIS PHARMACY AT ALL COSTS. If you have to, do some yoga, take deep breaths, and prepare for a 30 minute-2 hour ordeal. I'm baffled at the low rating this location has received. This place is the pharmaceutical equivalent of a zen garden. It's been beautifully renovated, it's clean, they play classical guitar music while you shop, it has a huge selection of quality goods, it's open 24 hours, the employees are friendly, and there is always free parking. What more do you want from a drug store? This is my first review on Yelp and I'm only inclined to write this because of the quality of service I recently received at the pharmacy. Without going into the minutia of the event, I will just say that a pharmacist went above and beyond my expectations to help me with a prescription that my former BH pharmacy couldn't fill. Thank you! I'm generally the first person to avoid big chain stores, but this place is an exception. I regret coming to this pharmacy so much! Forget about the long lines and the people who work here that talk on the side more then actually work. This one Persian pharmacist who works here took things to another level of me hating this place last time I went. They didn't have the medication I needed on hand, so I went to other Rite-Aids to see if they did. After finally finding one, they said they couldn't give it to me because I already got it here. So I went back pissed, and the pharmacist told me she doesn't understand why that happened. Since I was Making her look bad in front of her peers, she decides to check my history of receiving medications. I've had 4 surgeries in the past 3 month, so I've gotten the same type of pain medication from different doctors and she see's this and tells me it doesn't look good that I'm getting these medications from so many different doctors. Keep in mind she doesn't know I've had all these procedures. I'm thinking she's saying this to try to help me, but instead find out she called my Dr. and told him she thinks I'm just going to different Dr.s to try to get medications. Even though the medication I was coming to get had nothing to do with those previous medications. I also just switched insurances so the Dr. who wrote my prescription doesn't really know my medical history, and it was my first time seeing him. After she calls him, he ask to pull my prescriptions and stopped answering any of my calls. I get really mad at her and we get into another argument. Ends with her half apologizing and telling me to go another Dr. and explain my situation. I go to another Dr. a couple weeks later and that Dr. calls this pharmacist. The Pharmacist tells my new Dr. the same thing, and adds that I bought alcohol after our argument and that she thinks I'm using these things because I have a problem. This is what she tells the new Dr. I see after telling me she's sorry and to just find another Dr. and it'll be fine. The second Dr. didn't want to see me after that, until I showed her my medical history over the past couple of month, and the different surgeries I got, which is why different doctors prescribed me these medications. How complicated this story is, is now how complicated it is for me to get a prescription of medication I've been using for 5 years. This pharmacist crossed so many lines in order to protect herself. When I have the time I will report her to whoever you report pharmacist to. She's probably a failed wanna be Dr., trying to play a real life Dr. I'm never coming here again, even to get a bottle of water. read more

Convenient location, free parking, great staff. I called this place looking for fluorescent poster boards for my garage sale and reached the manager Paul. He put me on hold to verify that they had them in stock and I thought he had forgotten about me but he came back and confirmed that they had them. When I went there, I found him and he took me to the boards. Very pleasant fellow. Then when I went to the check out, the cashier was also very friendly. "What are you protesting?" he asked. "Nothing! I'm having a garage sale." I said. "Ever since I moved to the suburbs, I'm too lazy to protest." "Ha ha! I'm from the 60s generation. We protested everything," he said. He was so stressed that he had so many problems to use the camera. And then he found out the battery is empty. :D While I waited, I realized that there were so many other people waiting and no one could come and help them. The pharmacy is not better. Also known as Club Rite Aid, this market is where you go in needing something and walk out with ice cream. Their ice cream may be my all-time favorite, and has been for years. Now this location is all fancy and shmancy or whatever but thank the heavens the ice cream remains its same amazing self. Im not giving 5 stars because their pharmacy is terrible. 25 minutes waiting for something that should take 30seconds. I've made the mistake of making this location my pharmacy. I really like this pharmacy. Please realize that i am judging in context chain drugstore. OK, The lines are long at times but surely better than most other. My customer service experience with the pharmacists and pharma tech, the security guards and the cashiers always been very good. . The store is always very clean and fresh with AC and always open. Pharmacy A grade generics and brand drugs. AND They allowed me bring in my polite and well behaved malamute inside the store which I REALLY appreciated because it was very hot to make her wait outside . This is a pretty good store, overall. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The lines move pretty fast, too, so if you are in a rush, it's perfect. This location is currently undergoing construction, which is kind of annoying. I wish they would just have shut down for a couple weeks, instead of just having customers step over cords and unfinished floors. I found an item on the floor & It did not have a tag. I was being a good human being and I asked the register woman if it was for sale or not so that I could ethically finish my shopping and take home something cool I found. The little latina woman at the register (Liz or something like that) acknowledged that it was not for sale nor a part of their non-for-sale property (such as signs or anything they own that can't be purchase) . She immediate confiscated it instead of handing it back to me which was incredibly wrong. I asked her why would she do that when I had found it, it's not different than me finding $5 on the floor, it's not theirs, yes it was on their property, but I found it. She admitted she doesn't know the protocol, and said she could ask. So instead of asking to see what she could do for me, she confiscated it and only was willing to do what was right once I pressed her for being unethical. She asked some co workers next to her that were not managers and spoke in Spanish. I know Spanish, she did not ask if customers can take home items that they find that are not for sale. She gave a very non general question about the policy and just said "can he take this ?" The guy couldn't even speak English... yeah right he can barely speak English. There's no help if your low level register person asking another base level employee the policy. Get someone that knows the policy up in here. Most of all, don't confiscate personal items regardless how I they were acquired based on your instinct without confirming with your job that that's protocol. She seemed unsure until she asked. She should have had compassion and been like "wow nice find!! Lucky you... let me see if we can let u go home with that". She acted like she takes peoples personal items all day. read more
