The bougiest rite aid I've ever been to! I love all the selections. It's clean and there's a coffee bean inside with the ice cream. There's also a patio where you can enjoy late night ice cream or coffee. They were a bit understaffed so the employee helping us was overworked and cranky. However most of the other employees including security officer was friendly and kind. I will definitely frequent this drugstore. They have their own parking lot and provide validation. read more

Healthcare Horror Story Pretend: You're now as old or older than your parents. Your income is fixed, like no disposable dollars for frivolous stuff; groceries might be a problem. Medicare arbitrarily, or so it seems, changes "the rules" and the price of your life saving drug(s) skyrockets. You turn to a mail order pharmacy to save a few bucks then they get bought out and your prescription, the life saving one(s), is/are lost in transition, translation, as the new company's clueless and their customer service reps, although respectful, don't speak English very well. Yesterday: That's exactly what happened to my friend, my neighbor. Out of meds, where missing a dose could be fatal, we turned to Rite Aid where she still fills a few prescriptions. Enter saintly pharmacist who provided an interim supply until this mess can be straightened out overseas. I regret I didn't get his name through my tears. This has got to be the fanciest Rite Aid I've seen. The ice cream station is definitely fancier than usual with a small seating area, an outdoor patio seating and a water station with complementary cups. This Rite Aid is also probably the only convenient place to find a public restroom if you're only driving through the area. This Rite Aid also has a private parking lot. read more

No wonder Rite Aid is closing locations and the average rating for this location is 2 1/2 stars. Many technicians and pharmacists are rude or bordering rude, slow and unmotivated. Today was the last straw, it took unnecessary long , the tech was slow and was not responsive. Among other unacceptable service: the tech returned to me the Perscription for my moms DEXCOM, saying that "the insurance denied". Today, I found out that all the tech needed to do is to fax the Perscription to Diabetic Testing Supply Co, and Medicare would cover it. The other day, when I brought the prescription, I had another tech say, "so many"...to which I replied, "it's a good thing, more business for you"...to which she replied "I don't care". I grew up in this town and this is the Rite Aid I've been to throughout the years. Points of interest/my thoughts: 1. In high school we called this Club Rite Aid because we would loiter there. We thought we were cool (we were not that cool). 2. Leon. He is by far the coolest employee there and he still remembers me from 8 years ago when I first had him as a cashier at Rite Aid. Nicest and friendliest guy. 3. Ice cream. Thrifty ice cream is the bomb dot com. It's cheap and wonderful and slightly nostalgic. My favorite question to ask anyone is: what's the lowest price you remember one scoop being? This is obviously how I age people. 4. Pharmacy. I mean occasionally I'll get a rude cashier/pharm tech, but I'm understanding to how much volume they get per day. I'm pretty patient though, but they have always been helpful. 5. They somehow always have what I need whether it be cold medicine or candy. It's a one stop shop. 6. They have hassle free parking which is epic in a congested area like where it is situated. 7. Here's why this should be your go to Rite Aid if you're in this area. It's also one of the biggest one's I've seen, so you're sure to find whatever you need here! PARKING: Free! As long as you get it validated. And there's parking LEVELS available underneath the store. It's nice not to have to worry about parallel street parking or having wars for spots with others when all you're trying to do is pick up a subscription from the pharmacy. Oh my God! I really love this rite aid for the fact that the pharmacy counter is actually open 24 seven. There need to be like 1 million of these all over Los Angeles. I ended up having to go to the emergency room on a Saturday night because of pinkeye. And I was racking my brain on how to get my prescription filled. So I did a yelp search and found this place. I really think it's the only 24 hour counter that's open. You will see other listings of 24 hour pharmacies but it's really just Store that's open and there is no pharmacist on site filling prescriptions. This place is a total lifesaver and parking is free for like the first hour. It's also in Beverly Hills so it wasn't too far from me. Love love love this place. This is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever visited in my life! My friend needed strong painkiller after visiting the ER. So when we got to he pharmacy at 5:30AM, this lady (with very poor English) made us wait for the longest time, when her college tried to help me she said "No, I will help them in a few" and then made me wait for another 5 minutes. Keep in mind that there was NO ONE in line. When she finally "helped" me she told me that the painkillers we were looking for were out of stock. She told me I could order them but couldn't tell me when they would arrive. From this moment forward she continued to be incredibly vague and gave indirect answers... let me amuse you by recreating our conversation (based on real events). Pharmacist: you can order at 10am Me: I can't order them now? Pharmacist: no, at 10am Me: okay, so when I'm back at 10am, i can order them? Pharmacist: yes Me: when will the painkillers arrive? I came here with my daughter for an appointment for a vaccine for my granddaughter. First impression is that the store is spacious and clean. It was easy to park. There was a long line at the pharmacy and it was obvious that they were seriously understaffed. After waiting for about 15 minutes (as signs indicated) at the drop off counter without anyone acknowledging that we were there, I moved to the pickup line, while my daughter stayed at the drop off, filling out the form for vaccinations which was also indicated on the signage. Another 10+ minute wait before reaching the counter where the clerk snapped at us for being in the wrong line. We told her that we had waited at the drop off line but no one had come over. We handed her the completed form and she again snapped telling us that it didn't need to be completed. She finally confirmed the appointment and told us to move to seating to wait. We were finally called back for the vaccine about 40 minutes after the appointment time. The person who administered the vaccine was friendly and professional. We then moved to the ice cream counter as we had told my granddaughter that she could have an ice cream after her vaccine. After waiting for about 5 minutes with some other customers we went to a cashier to ask for help. She didn't bother to look up at us, just said that the ice cream counter was closed. I suggested that they post a sign as there were several people waiting there. She said that there was a sign. I told her that there obviously was not considering the number of people waiting to be helped. She finally looked up and over towards the counter and just shrugged and turned away. We decided to use the restroom before leaving. Disgusting!! There was trash all over the floor and it stunk of urine. Finally leaving and notice that the person in front of us trying to exit the parking lot was having trouble getting the machine to read her ticket. There was also a line of 3-4 cars having trouble getting a ticket to enter the lot. There was no attendant but obviously supposed to be one. After a few more minutes with more cars backing up in each line, my daughter ran back into the store to get some help. She told a person at the counter that the lot gates weren't working and that there was a line of cars waiting to get in/out. The clerk said that there was supposed be be an attendant and just walked away. As my daughter came back out of the store, an attendant (with a friend) finally came strolling up. She was carrying a shopping bag and seemed completely unfazed by the line of cars at both gates. Needless to say, we will not be returning. read more

It does not matter if dropping off or picking up the lines are always long, they are not helpful and many times even after my dr office says the submitted prescriptions cannot find them. Yes, a life-saver when you need a little holiday help. No wrapping paper, but with presents ready just sitting around looking nervously like they're going to arrive undressed - it was time for action! Found the last possible minute and with hunch, popped in. Not only is this kinda gorgeous for a pharmacy, they had tons of wrapping paper available and already marked down. My second biggest fear averted (that it would BH outrageous prices), joined my truly biggest fear that they'd even have wrapping paper: Neither were an issue. The ice-cream counter was tempting, but it was late enough already (plus, I didn't see anyone behind the goodies. In general, though, the three staff members I did have dealings with over the course of my first visit, we're all very helpful, friendly and professional. Can't see the low star ratings as valid, but that's just my opinion. read more

Either more staff is needed to accommodate the customers or they need to figure out a new system that gives patients the medication they need without being told that it will be ready in 30 minutes and then going up to the register an HOUR later because they didn't call your name yet to get ATTITUDE for something THEY HAD FORGOTTEN ABOUT. Really, my only expectations were to be better than the other BH Rite Aid. And while simply by stocking the shelves the Canon location wins, the service at the register is so bad it makes it worth avoiding. This is annoying because it really has everything and more - a sensational beer and liquor selection which, in the current remodeling, is even larger than before. When you amass all your deals it hits you: the front of the store, where 5 registers mock you with only 2 open (have yet to see 3, but I'm sure it's happened), lines at least a half-dozen deep, and checkers who only seem to speak numbers and "Rite Aid card?" It's quite bizarre because the help roaming the floor is friendly and polite, but it's as if those that didn't make the cut get sent to the register.
