If you stop by for ice-cream, tell the cashier up front, so they can tell a staff member to help you out at the ice-cream counter- otherwise you will be standing there waiting. My kids love Thrifty's Ice-Cream; and I love the price, lol! Cheap good ice-cream. I grew up on this stuff. So happy this Rite-Aid is around. I like going to this Rite Aid if I happen to be in this part of Glendale. This Rite Aid is located in a strip mall with other stores like Vons, IHOP, and Honeybaked Ham. Large, free, shared parking lot. This Rite Aid isn't busy and the employees are courteous. Check out their seasonal items or purchase makeup. Love checking out their sale items. The pharmacy is horrible. They don't communicate with each other. Pharmacy techs are rude and they never have medications on time. With the exception of Harry most techs do not understand their own system. Wait time is always long. read more

Specifically for the pharmacy at this Rite Aid location. I just don't understand how I have an issue with my prescription every single time my provider sends a refill order. If it's not one thing, it's another. My provider sends the order but I always have to call to check on it to get the ball rolling. If they say it's ready to be picked up over the phone, it's not and you're forced to wait however long in-store for them to fill the order; an additional 15-30 minutes. They will tell you that they don't have inventory and give you a future date when the order will be ready only to receive a notification shortly from Rite Aid that it's ready to be picked up. I called last week when my provider sent in my refill order and was told I would have to wait 15 days. I was confused but accepted this. A few days later, I realized that I would be out of medication several days before the date they had stated. So I called again only to be told the same thing. But the issue turned out that they were reading my prescription incorrectly and instead of the correct dose of 1.5 units for 30 days, they were assuming 45 units meant it was a 45 day supply. I am so frustrated and continue to give them another chance but I just cannot anymore. I would gladly go to another pharmacy that was less convenient if it meant that I wouldn't have to deal with these issues time and time again. If these are mistakes that happen all the time, it makes you wonder what other mistakes are possibly being made, which is a scary thought when it comes to someone's health and well-being. read more

Let me start by saying you don't mess with seizure medications. I've missed a dose on a Thursday and "suddenly" woken up in a hospital on Saturday handcuffed to a bed with no idea what happened. I only bring that up because the reason I didn't have my meds that day is this pharmacy's incompetent and lazy staff. 10 years I've been going here. They've completely changed the staff on several occasions and yet they still end up with terrible technicians with poor attitudes and no manners. Their pharmacists, especially Rena, are kind, empathetic, and efficient. She doesn't even ask for my birthday or name at this point, she just grabs my stuff and rings me up. Samir is rough around the edges and was a bit rude to me 10 years ago, but he has gotten much better since then and recognizes how important my medication is. He puts in effort to get things done right, and I appreciate that. Other than them, honestly, you're probably wasting your breath talking to these people. They don't answer the phone, and will hang up on you instead of putting you on hold. They'll talk down to you as if you're a beggar on the street, not a customer with insurance that pays SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS a month for 6 bottles of medication. They'll never take accountability for their mistakes, it's always your doctor or insurance that is the problem. They'll insist you didn't pay for your pre-paid prescriptions, and force you to pay AGAIN. They'll take 45 minutes to help 5 customers (I've stood in line and timed it). They'll tell you your medication is not ready without even taking a moment to look at, or ask, what you're actually there to pick up. Then they'll spend 10 minutes telling the nice old Armenian lady who was next in line about all the free vaccines she qualifies for. Did your insurance deny your claim? Good luck finding out, because they won't call you to tell you that. You'll have to go there in person and wait in line to find out at the last minute. Or you could spend a couple hours calling them every 10 minutes, getting hung up on or put on hold indefinitely. Pick your poison. They make no effort to order meds on time, and heaven help you if your medications run out on a Friday. They wouldn't ever dare to order anything ahead of time knowing that they don't get deliveries on weekends...you'll just have to wait until Monday (this may apply to all Rite-Aid stores, not sure) In April 2023 I was receiving one of my meds on the 16th, and today it's July 5th 2024. Not only do they not have my meds, they won't have it until at least 3 more days because today is Friday. This is after having already called on Monday and spoken to someone to make sure they placed the order ahead of time, too. That's now 3 weeks worth of delays since last April, for medication with explicit warnings that say NOT to suddenly stop taking it. But what do they care? These folks better be getting paid minimum wage, because they damn sure put forth minimal effort. Why am I putting up with any of this, you might ask? Because I'm not legally allowed to drive and this place is within walking distance. They are also open 24/7 so I can go there after work. It's about time I reevaluate that. This pharmacy IS NOT OPEN 24 hours!!!! Their "system shuts down at midnight ", so they cannot FILL ANY PRESCRIPTIONS UNTIL 9AM the next day. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY if you need important medications during the night. Though it is posted as 24 hours, they cannot fill any new scripts from midnight until 9am. Thanks for the FALSE INFO RITE AIDE! I'll have to sit with my excruciating tooth ache pain all night while you stock ice cream.... Oh yeah, and not only could they not fill my RX they didn't even have them is stock. Haven't needed serious pain meds in years, but when I suddenly have a molar Root Canal that isn't healing well on the weekend.... The pharmacy here has incompetent employees who purposely do not get your medication to you when needed. They are doing something in the system to prevent certain customers they do not like to be able to get their medication even if it is critical they get those meds. One day they claim everything is good to go, then the next day something else shows in their system. Very unprofessional staff. They do not have the proper work ethic to assist customers correctly. I have a dear friend that is a frequent customer and he is always complaining about how he is treated at the pharmacy. For starters they make him wait hours and hours for his prescription when they receive it electronically at 11 AM it's still not ready at 5 PM. I mentioned that I was going to write to yelp on his behalf but he doesn't want me to use his name he would rather just switch pharmacies. The staff is rude and never has the prescription filled prior to his arrival and if this is how a pharmacy treats you then obviously they don't value their customers. Sad. read more

Went here a week ago after having dinner with the choir after mass. A few of us ended up buying ice cream twice (long story on how that happened), but the first time around when we were served, the ice cream person was not at all happy to see us there and when we had to pay at the register as well. But when we went for seconds, there was a different person serving ice cream and she was very pleasant and gave us a little more for the scoops we got. But some of us got the same ice cream person and cashier from earlier, but she brightened up when she realized we had come back for seconds.
