I visited this Rite Aid for a drive through COVID test. I arrived a few minutes before my scheduled time, but there was not a line so I was able to be tested right away. The process was very straight forward, and the staff was friendly! They noticed my dog was in the car and gave us some treats for him, which he really appreciated it. While I was not inside the store, I found the process of booking my COVID test appointment online very straight forward and easy. I was able to get in the same day. Screw this pharmacy. You have to spend 30 minutes or more ringing them to get to talk to anybody if you have a question about your prescription--this has been going on for years. The people on the phone don't know what they're talking about and it's always a different story from my doctor. Then I have to spend more time trying to figure out who's wrong, and Rite Aid always blames the doctor. They don't really get to the bottom of things and they make you feel crazy if you press them to get the facts straight. 110% would not recommend anybody, trusting their life-saving drugs with these people. They'll kill you and tell you it's your fault! Anywhere but this dump. And my friend got punched in the face inside by an unhinged customer. read more

I'm genuinely not sure if I've ever received such consistent unprofessional behavior. The woman who tends to work the drive thru is literally a nightmare. I said I needed to pick up a prescription and she just sat there. I asked what info she needed and she responded you know the drill and rolled her eyes. This woman's lack of customer service is the reason they lost my business a year ago, and I refuse to return even as a favor to friends now, because clearly the bar at this rite aid really is that low. The managaer Andre was very helpful and kind I wish a lot of ppl was like him I walk in to shop had to use the bathroom n the lady in the front told me that I can't use the bathroom cause someone lock the keys in the bathroom then I seen Andre stocking shelf so I ask him and he say hold on I have spare keys thanks so much he also help me and my husband thank u so much and when in the bathroom there was no keys in there so I guess she ain't want to let me use it not nice cause I was shopping read more

The pharmacy staff is unprofessional. Answering the calls we're supposed to be improved that's a joke. So all the people who are having an issue with the non responding associates file a grievance with your insurance. It's no sense in calling Customer Service, they don't seem to be helping. I really want this place to be better because it's a couple of blocks from my place, but it just never seems to really hit the mark of a good drug store! There are never enough people up at the counter during a rush of customers, and those that ARE at the registers don't seem to always know exactly what they are supposed to be doing. The pharmacy is their WORST attribute - there is always a line and they've messed up my prescription more than a couple of times. I've found a couple good deals as far as seasonal items and clearance, but sometimes that's just not enough! I will only continue to go here out of sheer laziness!! read more

Even by the admittedly low standards of Rite Aid, this place is the actual worst. I live a block away, and I've been to the store probably 30 times. Every time I have been there, it has been a total horror show. Every. Single. Time. They are currently having a "grand reopening" after redoing the interior, and I am like "Why bother?" I am not sure if the problem is that they are understaffed, or that the staff gives no f***'s at all. Whenever I go there, they have a single, unhappy and surly cashier. No matter how many people get in the line, no matter how long you end up waiting because the person in front of you needs advice on selecting a birthday card and felt like checkout was the perfect moment to get it, no matter what happens, there is only one cashier. I prayed really hard that the grand reopening would allow for the installation of self checkout, but no such luck. The only option remains standing in line for literally twelve minutes (it's a long ass time, try it) while the person in front of me argued the price of every item in her cart with the ONE cashier. I have just set fire to my Plenti card, and may my eyes be gouged from my head if I ever go into a Rita Aid again. read more

As a savvy shopper of consumer goods and a former retail sales employee, I consider myself intelligent and intuitive enough to locate items in any retail establishment I waltz into without the assistance of a sales associate. Stores are logical: place the items customers would normally go to a store for in the back, structure the aisles like a grid and have employees wondering around for those whom looks hopelessly lost. Unfortunately, the Rite Aid of West Philadelphia fails those three tenants. Sure, the drug items are in the rear, but they're also placed into an additional remote location in the front? Helpful sales associates? The place was a barren wasteland, understaffed and oblivious to my lost gaze. And why did I have such a gaze, you must ask? Well, it appears as if someone threw up all over the floor plan, arranging the aisles in diagonals that zig and zag. If I were a shoplifter, the numerous hiding spots found throughout the store would make this place a prime location to pick up a Slap Chop or a Snuggie for Dogs. Now that I've mentioned it, I think I could use one of those Snuggies on my cats. BRB. read more

Worst pharmacy. It's ALWAYS a problem, doctors say they called in prescriptions, you go to pick them up and they never see the script. Happened to me 2x. If you wait for it, you will be waiting at least 30min even with 4 people working in the back. The line! Takes a while just to be told your medicine isn't ready, no one else jumps in to help to get the line of 3 people down (each person takes at least 5-10 bc others have issues, or they take forever finding it). I listen to my dentist call my med in and they never received the message. That could have been the dentist fault but when I went to pick up the medication I was met with rudeness and the tech didn't bother to look into things. Today an employee took 3 items from me that I found in the gift set area and said these are new items and they shouldn't be out here and they aren't on sale. He took them from me I will switch to a different location if I need anything in the future. read more
