Where to start? Well, the ice cream is amazing. My taste buds feel like they have just been massaged by angels. I would come here for the ice cream alone. The pharmacy is pretty good too. I dunno who you guys have seen when you visited but I had the best pharmacist. Indian woman by the name of PJ. She was nice, cracked a joke, AND filled my prescription on time. Triple-threat. Great place, would defintely reccomend. To all the people complaining about the service, what did you expect? Five-star service with people waiting on you hand and foot? 3 stars only because I like their ice cream. Their pharmacy sucks. One time I went to pick up a prescription and the manager was nice enough to yell to the other side of the pharmacy the name of the medication with my full name to see if she had it. Hmmmmmmm. There were like 5 people in line too. Thank goodness it wasn't herpes medication or anything or it really could have interfered with my "activity" level. I had great service from this Rite Aid pharmacy. I'm from out of town and was trying to fill an Rx. Kaiser didn't stock it so I had to look elsewhere. I called CVS and the pharmacist there said the policy was to refuse to fill out of the area Rxs. I called Rite Aid and they couldn't have been nicer. I brought it in and it was filled in about 10 minutes. Everyone was very friendly. I shopped a little while waiting and the store was super clean and well stocked. read more

This is the story of how this pharmacy totally helped us out! My wife ended up picking up a tough bug during a recent trip to India. After 6+ hours in the Emergency Room at ValleyCare we hit this Rite Aid to get two much needed prescriptions filled. My wife was not in good shape so we needed these prescriptions filled quickly. First we had tried the Walmart on Santa Rita as it was right near the hospital but they were on a 2 hour lunch break. We really could not wait that long. We then called the Riteaid to make sure they were also not on lunch. They gave us their lunch hour timing and we headed over. We got to this location about 20 minutes before lunch. The pharmacist noted that she would likely have to complete after lunch as there was not enough time before. I told her how bad my wife was doing and she got them done before. We were able to have the prescriptions in hand within 15 minutes - what a relief! You have to appreciate a pharmacist that understands a patient's need and delivers what is needed! We have always had good experiences with this pharmacy. I would highly recommend it to others. Much better service that the Walgreen's on Valley. Prices for prescriptions seem to be reasonable. read more

For Pharmacy - seriously amazing Pharmacy team. They are quick and lines move quickly (if they have one). The team will even work crunch time before closing if there's last minute events that occur. So happy we left Walgreens! read more

If you hunt around, you can find some things that aren't normally in other stores, and at a good price. Store is smaller, so you don't have to walk all over the damn place, looking for something. Never found the clerks, to helpful, but didn't seem that much different than CVS, Walgreens, or the old days of Longs Drugstores. They do seem to have an issue, where the ice cream counter is not always working. Not sure if they run out of product, or no knows how to make an ice cream cone, on some shifts. Fills a niche, I am still a customer, although, I don't hardly do any of my business with the pharmacy, thank you Kaiser Pharmacy in Pleasanton. read more

At this drugstore I found the most apathetic pharmacy technicians. Before we moved here I used to take my mom's prescriptions to another Walgreen's in Fremont. Everyone there was so kind. Asked about my mom's health and did her best to have all her 13 meds ready to be picked up once a month. Not here at Rite Aid in Pleasanton, I was going there about once a week. Most of the time they did not have her meds ready, and if they were ready they were incomplete which meant another trip for me. Mustafa tried to help, but he was the only decent person working there. The Pharmacy Technicians are good and the staff in the store part .. (when you can find one) are helpful, however this store is in need of a MAJOR renovation, including getting more staff! The Ice Cream counter is either "out of service" or you can't get anyone to help you :-( Good selection of items in store, but messy at times and as I said before, hard to find help when you need it. read more

I like coming here about as much as I enjoy a rectal exam. Every time I come to this store the employees are no where to be found. Yesterday my kids and I stood at the front counter with two other customers as no employees were seen. No one at the counter or ice cream counter. Every rite aid seems to be this bad. Walked into Fremont only to find the same thing, 20+ minute line just like Pleasanton. Sounds like senior management needs to be fired. read more

Love this Rite Aid especially since the remodel - the pharmacy staff in particular is the best! My only complaint is that the restrooms are not accessible by customers unless a Rite Aid employee comes over to open the door with a key. This seems a bit ridiculous at this location! read more

Horrible photo department! I ordered some new baby photos online for a Father's Day frame and put them under my mother's name for pick up since I'm at home watching the baby. 1. The photos were supposed to take 1-3 hours. I ordered them around 3pm and they weren't ready until the next morning. 2. There was no name on the photos so the clerk had to search for them. 3. I opened them and realized a photo was missing. There were only 5 photos in the order so that's 20% of the order missing. 4. Two of the "two wallet size" prints I ordered have wavy lines on the photo on the right side. So I can't use those prints. Basically this order was only $3.35 and they wasted $1.50 by either forgetting to print it or printing unusable photos. Not going to put the baby in a car seat over $1.50 but we will never go back! It's odd to write a review for a drugstore that I go to for ice cream more than anything else. The ice cream is good, cheap and lots of options. My favorite is the chocolate malt crunch. However, customer service is horrible. Long, confusing lines. You even have to wait in line for ice cream and then wait in line to pay for it. Bathrooms dingy and in need of a good scrub. read more

This is a review about Asthmanephrine. NOT Riteaid. Riteaid is a good Pharmacy. ASTMANEPHRINE is an asthma Atomizer and medicine called Racephedrine. The medicine works,,, The atomizer DOES NOT. The starter kit is 50. Bucks, and the atomizer works for a week, then dies completelty. No matter you read the instructions, clean it correctly, etyc.etc. It will still die after a week of use. This is called Planned Obsolecense, They made the Atomizer faulty, so you have to keep buying them at 50 bucks a pop. Thereby seperating you from your hard earned money, and leaving you with garbage, because thats what this product is, is garbage. I suspect there will be a class action lawsuit to remove this product from shelves simply because IT DOES NOT WORK folks. If you want to waste your cash on this product, then go ahead, some folks just are not very bright. Do yourself a favopr and use some other Atomizer, go get a script for a good atomizer, and dont frustrate yourself like I did buying 2 or 3 of these crappy little atomiozers. Dont give this company your money, for a product that does not work, you will feel like an idiot. Absolutely NO RATing for asthma nephrine. IT SUCKS!!!! read more
