This is an A okay Rite Aid next to the Ralph's on Sherman Way and Woodman... in a shared parking lot that's usually easy to flow through. I cant speak for the pharmacy or ice cream departments which apparently are the worst... but I'm always greeted politely and find exactly what I need. This is one of the few locations where everything is dated in that former Rite Aid appeal. The tile, the color scheme and even the enter and exit doors... They condense a lot of the displays and end caps as this is a slightly smaller location... however they do a great job of keeping things in stock or appearing full. The front/entrance area inside the rite aid is a little funky and awkward to get in and out as it's right next to the main register (revolving metal gated poles like inside Ralph's). My only criticism is that some of the seasonal items get mixed up in pricing often.... I realize they are trying to save space as much as possible... I do hope this location gets updated somewhat (the nostalgic theme is not bad) in the future as it has potential to thrive way more. read more

I hope there were a 0 star, first time visiting sherman way location, and wanted to try thrifty ice cream, first employee pretended like she washed her hands with out soap, and then whenever i asked her to wear gloves she went away saying shell call another employee, another rude man name Jesse came up to us, without washing his hands he tried putting gloves and when i asked him to wash his hands than put gloves to touch the cone he started laughing and was very mean, i dont know what the problem with washing hands and wearing gloves that they made it a big problem, then when i asked for a manager he said he's the manager, which i don't believe because manager should be very nice with their customers, he was laughing and was very rude! The worst! They are understaffed and you almost always have to wait a long time. This is the incident that finally sent me to Yelp: I bought an item, and when I got home found the box was empty. I went back to the store to exchange it. There was one cashier and a long line of people. She told me to get on line if I wanted to be helped. When it finally came my turn, I showed her the receipt and explained the situation. She told me I would have to talk to her manager to exchange this. But there was no manager available, she was there by herself. So I got a big F.U. from Rite Aid. (There was probably nothing the cashier had the authority to do to help me, I don't blame her.) I had worked for Rite Aid for about 5-6 years previously. At 7:40 pm on 10/2/2022 my wife and I came in for some ice cream, or hand dip for those in the rite aid business. For some reason the employees closed down hand dip because the ice cream was "too soft." Not serving ice cream because it's "too soft" is unheard of. In all my time working as a cashier previously I'd never heard of such a thing. You show the customer the product, ask if it's okay, and go from there. But I get it, when you're lazy and the store manager is away you can get away with selling your customers some non-sense. read more

First and foremost EliAbeth is the best ever!!!! She is the best tech in rite aid I ever been to.. She's friendly, and knows her meds very well and go out the way and I can't forget my boo Ani (knows me by face and name) same exact as Elizabeth far as customer service goes. The staff at this location knows me when I walk in and that is a huge plus to me that they know their neighbors around the neighborhood. Never had a bad experience with the pharmacy nor the front end besides the line being backed up on the front with one talkative cashier older Hispanic woman (alright in my book "meaning personality wise"). The first time I went here I got a flu shot and it was a fine experience. The pharmacist was really nice. Today was a different story. I simply asked if they had any booster shots available and a different pharmacist started yelling from the back saying they are also a pharmacy and have prescriptions to fulfill (like I don't know that) and I should make an appointment. Fair enough, but on the website it says if you don't want to make an appointment, swing by between 2-3 to check if they have an open spots. Just checking lady! While on vacation in the area my grandma was craving their ice cream. We stopped in around 9pm and there was only one cashier attending a line at the cashier line not the ice cream counter. Apparently the cashier lady said she'd be with us but we didn't hear her. My boyfriend flagged down a guy and the cashier lady had the nerve to say we "ignored" her . My family and i have been going to this branch for decades. I have noticed Pharmacy customer service has totally declined over the years. The pharmacy staff are obnoxious and dishonest. I called my insurance to complain about the attitude of the staff and high copayment. I found out they were trying to over charge me. The worst Rite Aid I ever been in.. The cash register Jessica hiding the sanitizers and The rubbing Alcohol telling customers it's not available . I spoken with the manager last night and the manager told that the new shipment was gonna be available at 8am this morning . Horrible place to go!! Went in at 11am to get my prescription. At first they needed my insurance information which was not a problem. I gave them my info and waited for about 40 minutes. I thought they were getting my order ready. When I asked to see what the status was, they told me they haven't started working on it. (They had skipped me and started helping other people.) After I told them about my order,they started working on it and took them another 15 minutes. Time to pay! All done right? Nope! I start paying and they needed a finger print to finish the transaction. The supervisor took her time to come and scan her finger. Also, when they give you your prescription, they normally explain how to take them and ask if you have any questions. She explained everything in less than 12 seconds and walked away... This Rite Aid is a total joke. My boyfriend just got out of a surgery on Friday at 6pm. We brought prescription on Sunday to this Rite Aid (we couldn't get out of the house on Saturday after the surgery). My boyfriend had his prescription from this location before , so he has his history written but based on their policy, they only allow the person whom prescribed to pick up and drop off prescription, which I think it is ridiculous. On my boyfriend's case, he couldnt get out on Saturday because he was in much pain after the surgery and I couldn't get his med from this Rite Aid. So off we went to this place on Saturday after my bf felt better to go out for a bit. We met Jennifer, he gave his prescription. This is what she said, she can't guarantee that she will have this prescription by Monday. My bf was running out of his painkiller and he needed this right away. We were also asking her if she could check out other Rite Aid locations so we are not driving around and calling around blindly. She said , she couldn't do that, every Rite Aid has different med stocks. Me and my bf were super pissed. What's wrong with looking up on your comp, check their friggin phone number and check if they have what we need Jennifer! Off we went to Walgreens, we got our meds done in an hour, they even allow somebody else to pick up the prescription off as long as I have the patient's information (in this case, my bf still needs recovery, he can't be too active going in and out of the house). Turned out the prescription are cheaper too. We decided no to go to this Rite Aid location, the pharmacy staff were ridiculously shallow, unknowledgeable, and unhelpful. read more

Ive been here a few times to buy little things I need, and it has been decent. But I wish I had written down the man's name, who works behind the pharmacy counter in the morning because he was rude and aggressive. It's my first time trying to get a prescription from this place and he didn't make it any easier. I gave him my info to be put in the system and didn't have my doc's info (this is when he got annoyed). As I walked away from the counter, standing near the vitamin section, I overheard him talking to a female staff about me and laughing. been coming to this rite aid since we moved here in 1997. i get my prescriptions from here and usually they're ready within 15-30 minutes but they say "45 minutes" to cover themselves so people won't get upset if they take a little longer. which is understandable. the only thing is when i get the text message that my stuff is ready, i go to the counter and i have to wait a really good while before they ring me up. that's why i took off one star. also. does anyone know what happened to Denise, the technician?? i haven't seen her in a good while. :( read more

I have directed this to Upper Management's attention. A member of their Leadership Team will be contacting you shortly. I am sorry to hear how your parents were treated when shopping at Store #5567. " ---- I'm still waiting for the response from "Upper Management"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COMPLAINT (IT'S PRETTY SELF-EXPLANATORY): To Whom It May Concern, Re: Transaction #1737107 & #1737108 We are filing a complaint against Stephanie, the store manager, on behalf of my parents, who went into Rite Aid Store #05567 at about 10 am on 8/5/12. My father was in the process of buying a box of Rogaine and the cashier was unable to take the sensor out and she called the manager, Stephanie to help her remove the sensor. According to my parents, Stephanie had a hard time removing the sensor and so she damaged the box to get the sensor out (I have attached a photo of the damaged box). After check-out, my parents had noticed that they didn't get the $10 +Up Reward from the purchase AND the credit card receipt from the purchase either. So he inquired about his credit card receipt AND the $10 coupon; she had called Stephanie back again to ask about this rebate and his credit card receipt. Stephanie claimed that my father bought everything with cash and he said that he didn't. In addition, she had rudely blamed the cashier for not asking my parents for his Wellness+ Card. She then looked through the envelope again and found his credit card receipt, which she SLAMMED on the table for him in an unruly manner. She then proceeded to return the item and he was able to buy it back using the Wellness+ Card to get the $10 coupon. My father, being almost 65 years old AND with a heart condition, had forgotten to buy the Colgate toothpaste that was on sale according to the Rite Aid ad. He went back to grab the toothpaste and proceeded to check-out again and the same problem occurred again. The machine didn't register and the $5 +Up Reward did not print out for him AGAIN. Sensing that there were too many problems, he decided to return the toothpaste. So the cashier had to call Stephanie again. This time she acted in an inappropriate manner and shouted at my parents. She asked them in a malicious way, which I can't quote since I wasn't there: Are you done yet? Is this all? You can go and don't come back. And, she pointed to the doors. My parents were in extreme shock. And they hurried out the door. She proceeded to follow them out the doors to harass them screaming out profanity words and the words "Go, Go, Go!" My parents walked out and went to the next-door Ralphs. When they came out, she was still there stalking them. She had written down their license plate number and had said "See you in court," which my mother had heard. In extreme shock and disbelief since they've never been treated this way by anyone, drove away and almost hit a wall. So I ask you, does the Rite Aid corporation support this behavior by their employees? If your mission statement is "to be a successful chain of friendly, neighborhood drugstores" then why did they treat my parents this way? You state that your "caring associates work together to provide superior ... services that help (the) valued customers lead healthier, happier lives." Is this a CARING associate who is willing to help? She basically threaten them! We are appalled by the actions of this individual. If my father's heart condition had worsen, is Rite Aid going to be responsible for his medical care? Rite Aid's code of Ethics and Business Conduct states that it "reinforce and enhance (the) commitment to an ethical way of doing business." Is that treatment to my parents' ethical in any way? They were in shock after Stephanie harassed them outside the store and they almost got into an accident! After this incident, I definitely would not be visiting any Rite-Aid chain stores again. I understand that my parents are almost at that senior citizen age and they may have been difficult, however, they had apologized to the cashier for giving her a lot of work in terms of returning and buying back the item. But even then so, Stephanie had NO RIGHT to point to the door, used profanity words, chased them out the door and told them not to come back again. We are horrified at how my parents were treated and we ask you to take appropriate against this individual. read more

Pharmacy department is always helpful, joking and smiling, cashier lady in the front is overworked as she always has a line of customers at checkout & has to run their ice creme counter. I have never seen a store manager but I've never had a problem either. Shelves are always stocked and their prices are high but its not as crowded so I don't mind paying the higher prices,... and as one gentleman stated - in the ghettooooo. read more

The best thing about this place is they have the Thrifty's Ice Cream. I remember when it was only 5 cents a scoop - LOL. Anyway, it is a pretty old store with these weird checkout cubicles - the high walls make it hard for others to see if the line is long or not.
