I called for an update on my prescription after a frustrating automated system, and after a long wait time the representative that picked up the phone was incredibly rude right off the bat, and when I advised that I had my medication sent over from Kaiser she told me flatly that they don't take Kaiser. When I asked what my options were and the cost she quoted over $300 dollars and told me to go to the website to use a coupon. I have good insurance and this is sinus medication. Insurance barriers aside, completely unnecessary rudeness set the tone and took me HOURS to get my prescription back to Kaiser to get it filled. 0 stars. read more

Pharmacy is OK! Was confronted by a pharmacy tech that commented on me not having my own baby after seeing me with my dog. Has no idea if I I have was unable to conceive children or lost children. I didn't know that this CVS location allows internal solicitors to be there, by the door as customers walk in. I didn't really like it, especially if I am not in the mood to talk to strangers, but of course "ASPCA" members where there, aggressively trying to get CVS customers to adopt pets, Honey, let me tell you I have enough on my plate (I have 3 dogs, 6 stray cats) and I didn't need the extra push coming from them. Also, they were not very professional giggling most of the time, I guess because they were mostly ignored by the customers walking by. This past Monday, I visited to pick up my online order, however, there was a line and only one cashier up front, the line quickly got longer and finally one more person joined to help out. Maybe CVS should start to assign a particular member to do the online order pick ups? Stopped at this CVS in Point Loma when husband needed fresh insoles for shoes and his comic-con battered dogs. Place seemed huge with the wide aisles. Tracked the footwear accessories in the rear reaches of the store's back corner, made his choice, and brought it to be rung up by a friendly and efficient woman cashier who chatted with us. When she heard we were in town for Comic-Con she asked us how the heck we were in Point Loma. "Getting away from the crowds," we explained. I brought in 2 disposable cameras in 3 weeks ago to get developed. They said it'd be 2-3 weeks and gave me envelopes to take to the post office which I immediately did. I called today to check on them, and several different people looked, asked me redundantly what the order was or the name on the order, and eventually after being on for 15 minutes and on hold a few times they hung up on me. I drove to the store with my receipts and the cashier I spoke to on the phone was still clueless about it and said maybe we don't have them or we'll call you when we get them, or you'll have to check with the post office. She called someone else over who gestured to where the orders were but clearly didn't know the disposable photos were in the bin on the back counter which even I could see. I asked to look in that bin and she let me and my found my two orders envelopes immediately. The same cashier rang me up and didn't really say anything or apologize for the confusion/waste of time on the phone. At Walgreens they send the disposables out themselves (no trip to the USPS necessary), and know how to deal with pickups. Clearly not the case at this CVS and I'll never have them do my disposables again. read more

Mini CVS At this treasure of very spacious plaza... the parking lot is the complete opposite of the store/pharmacy as it is shared with Vallarta, LA Fitness and several businesses and eateries. This CVS is good for quick essential needs, but as they carry about 1/3 of what a normal store would. While this location stays super clean... don't bank on getting everything you need in one trip. The last few times we came in... a lot of the snacks and beverages were very low... which is a let down if you're heading by on your way home, after the gym or to pick up a prescription. They do have some great markdown/closeout/clearance items here, but they seem to go very fast which makes the shelves feel empty in a lot of spots. The first aid supplies are limited and the company brand products aka the better deals seem to be the least available in terms of quantity. The pharmacy is pretty solid... however doesn't keep the best available hours... only 10am to 6pm as this is a low foot traffic location... though they are close to regular... most stay open from 9 to 7 Note: this is not a 24hour cvs location however they are open from 8am until 10pm every day. Overall it's a solid location and the closest one to me so hopefully it will only evolve with time and as it becomes more frequently shopped. read more

I have been going to Victory Blvd NH store for 4 years. When I first started getting my meds there it was AWFUL!! NOW....with a change of personnel it is like going to see my friends. they are WONDERFUL.,,kind, helpful, thoughtful, friendly and efficient. Everyone is great however KEERAH, TAHN AND LYNN are the best at what they do. I love them all to death. I feel like they have become friends. They go out of their way for me. The actual store however always looks like it has had a fire sale. In the makeup dept I think people steal more than they buy....and they are light on their regular stock. They always have empty shelves. But...their staff goes out of their way for customers to help find things.Sure as hell beats Walgreens!!! read more

Where do I begin?! The store rarely has an employee available for any questions. You're basically on your own. A couple of the pharmacy staff are helpful, but the majority, including the actual pharmacists, are demons sent from hell to torment anyone who needs a prescription. They're completely incompetent and rude. If you speak their language, you get better taken care of. Otherwise, you're SOL. You get a text saying your prescription is ready. You arrive, wait in a ridiculously long line only to be told that it's not ready and you have to go wait in another line. Then they tell you that it was put back and it'll be another 40 minutes... even though you got the text the DAY BEFORE and you called the automated number to make sure it's filled. Recently I had waited in the long line and had one additional item - heartburn medication, not food, liquor, etc - and the pharmacy employee said, "I'm not ringing that up here. You have to wait up front." When you call with questions and finally get someone on the line, they're in a rush to get you off the phone. Why did these people go into the service industry if they don't know how to provide any level of decent service? read more

I went in to get my prescription that my doctor prescribed and I had waited in the very long line like everyone else. When it is my turn the lady very clearly unhappy with her job asks for my phone number then for my age. I have picked up medicine here before and was never asked my age she then asks for an id which I left in my car and refused to give me my prescription without id. I am not waiting again in that long line that takes half an hour when my information is already in the system and I have not had this problem when I previously picked up before get new staff. read more

Most times I come into this location I'm attended by this guy who seems pretty bothered to be working there. No smile, zero enthusiasm to be working there. It stands out to me because I saw his interaction with the person in front of me where he was cheerful and friendly, but he was very cold, dry with me. I visited the store on 9/24/23 at 8:15pm and he was the only person in the front of the store. I don't know why this pharmacy has a phone number, they don't answer their phone. My wife and I have tried calling to speak to a pharmacist several times over the past few years. You know how many times we've spoken to one? Zero. That's right. Zero. We've been on hold for up to 30 minutes and no one has EVER picked up the phone in the pharmacy. We even tried staying on hold just to see how long it would take for someone to answer and you know how long it took? That's right, no one in the pharmacy ever answered the phone. Tonight it happend again. I just waited 18 minutes on hold. The automated system transferred me to the Pharmacy and NO ONE EVER PICKED UP. 18 minutes on hold and no one picked up... and I confirmed the Pharmacy was open before I called. Really disappointing CVS. This has been my cvs for years and it's just gone downhill. This place is becoming a COVID breeding ground. Employees, including those in the pharmacy, have their masks down under their noses or so loose you might as well not be wearing anything. What good is a mask if you're not going to wear it properly? Secondly they place the cough syrup in the same aisle where you have to wait in line for the pharmacy. So every coughing sick person is asking to get around you in order to get cough syrup. Speaking of lines...there is always a line. Limited cashiers. Slow service. The store is also very unkept. Product not properly arranged on the shelves. What the heck is the manager doing? I have been to this store location numerous times and it seems nothing ever changes. I was here recently to print some photos and i was stuck here for 45 minutes until some help arrived. The lines are always long here. It is however in a somewhat busy stripmall. Very few staff are helpful. I like the Asian woman and the young Hispanic guy that work here. They are the most active and helpful. Place is clean and well taken care of. But i am not sure if i will ever visit here again when in the area. read more

I'm sorry we're out of your prescription. Pretty annoying, a pharmacy out of the medication you need. They don't offer to order it for you, basically signaling to go somewhere else. Went here on 3 separate occasions and all times I was told they are out of my prescription, you know what I really think? If they don't want to give you your medication they act like they don't have it. This wouldn't be the first time CVS pharmacists have been caught lying to their customers. I have heard from other people that this is a practice that pharmacies use time and time again. My advice go somewhere else. I always go to this CVS and it is horrible. There nothing I been checking for over a month and they still haven't restocked and sometimes I can't even get the things that I want because of those red top things so u can't get the product out. I made the mistake of going to this CVS before going to the Vallarta grocery store with my friend. He took a backpack with a bunch of reusable grocery bags so we could bag our groceries at Vallarta. We don't own a car so we COULD NOT have left his backpack inside a vehicle. We were at the far end of the CVS looking at the "As Seen on TV" aisle when I felt this eerie sensation as if someone was staring at me. I instinctively look up and see a bearded man straining and craning his neck over the shelves from near the bathrooms. It was a CVS employee giving us the creepiest evil eye I have ever experienced. I instantly knew he thought we were stealing and it was so infuriating that he just stood there with a menacing expression and didn't blink once when I stared back in shock. This has never happened to me in any store before. I felt like he was racially profiling us. His glare was so humiliating, absurd, and grating that we quickly left and I bought the only (crappy and overpriced) cosmetic item I had picked out. This is the SECOND 1 star review I give this pathetic unprofessional dump of a 'pharmacy.' The only reason I go there is because it is the only pharmacy that is walking distance from my home. Disgusting 'customer service' and an even worse pharmacy (read all the other 1 star reviews). I said I wouldn't go there in 2017. This time I will really keep my promise and even call my doctor to switch pharmacies. This pharmacy is absolute trash and so are the people who work there. I have a high risk pregnancy and my doc has to repeatedly tell them to fill my prescription. They have my info on file, they ask for my ID, ok, I show it to her, "take it out of your wallet," I'm slow to do so because I obviously have a bandage on my hand, she asks me to "hurry up." RUDE! Then they can't answer a basic Q about a pending order so s he sends me to another line, I wait, I get there, needs my Medicare info, I give it, says she "cant find me in the system" even though I just picked up a medication at the other register 10 feet away. I dialed their number when I was in a parking lot on Laurel Canyon and Ventura Blvd, the phone was still ringing when I got on line at the store. Terrible place, terrible service, rude to customers. CLOSE this branch, remodel, hire all new personnel!!!! AND she gave me the wrong dosage of medicine. Twice as strong as what my normal dose would be. Suppose I was unaware when I got home and thought, "Oh they changed the color," and took this med, I'd be dead. Mistakes that pharmacists make can cost people their lives. I'd leave a zero star review if I could. They ALWAYS have issues with both my meds and my girlfriend's meds. They've repeatedly over-billed us (and then denied it to our insurance companies). They'll say your prescriptions are ready for pickup, but when you arrive they'll rudely tell you to come back tomorrow. I've been going here for over a year now, and every time the same person will claim I'm not in their system. Michelle was super unhelpful and made me waste my time here. I told her I specifically wanted to print a passport photo and she said that's fine but we would have to wait in line first. We waited 10 minutes in line just for her to call someone to help us. I'm wondering why she wouldn't just call someone in the first place instead of having us wait in a long line. Then the person who was called to help us arrives and says the option to print our passport photo is not available. Communication needs to be better represented at this place. read more
