usually i get my cut from a lady second seat over from the end. Don't remember her name, but she is awsome. today, got cut by whomever and it got screwed up. short hair to one point and then BAM....longer after that, Looks like sh** on the side. The whole time she's yelling to other people get her food, the drape the put over you before you get a cut she was dusting it over her chair over and over again! thinking it was funny but getting hair all over me and the person sitting next to me. Everyone who follows my reviews knows that my favorite method of relaxation therapy is the Old School Straight Razor Shave. After a very difficult work week, there is nothing better than a hot towel shave on your day off. I've had shaves done at old-school Italian Barbershops in New York. I've had shaves done at Japanese and Korean barbershops where they shave your whole face, and even your ear and nose hairs. I've even had shaves at Black-American barbershops where they specialize in "ethnic hair". But, I had never had a Straight Razor Shave done in California because of how hard it is to find a Master Barber who is licensed to use the razor. RITE CUT BARBER SHOP is the only barbershop in the area that has barbers who have no problem giving you this service. When I first got to California, the 1st thing I wanted to do was get a Hot Towel Shave. I first went to "Stews" but the lady there told me that they didn't have any licensed master barbers. Why does their sign read "Old Time Barber Shop"? So, I then went to another shop. When I walked in, I saw the barber using the straight razor, but when I asked for a shave he turned me down. He said that he uses the razor only to clean up behind the neck and ears, and that if he gave me a shave it would take almost an hour and he wouldn't be able to see other customers. I came to the conclusion that the Hot Towel Shave was a lost art in California, so I was ready to give up. Then by coincidence I saw the sign for RITE CUT. As I walked closer to the sign I noticed that it read: "Straight Razor Shave $16". I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The average cost of a shave in my hometown of Las Vegas is around $50. So, all you Temecula people should be really happy that you guys have a barber in town that will give you such a great deal. Before I came here to RITE CUT, my favorite barbers were all in Las Vegas. In my ranking of favorite barbers; I have Alex from Figaro's, and Anthony from Presidential Shave Shop tied in 1st place. But after the shave that George at RITE CUT gave me today, I got it a 3 way tie now. When I first walked into RITE CUT, they told me that Straight Razor Shaves are not very popular here in California. It's rare for someone to ask for a shave, but here at RITE CUT they are glad to do it when you ask. Because it had been so long since the last time someone asked for a shave, they actually needed to take some time to set up and heat up a towel. This is the complete opposite of Las Vegas, where like 75% of the barbershop customers ask for shaves. The Pre-Shave was one of the best I have ever had. They start by applying the hot lather(they got one of those really expensive machines here that create a really foamy hot lather within seconds). Then they apply the 1st hot towel. This is something that RITE CUT does better than all the other shave shops: they use way more hot towels! I've been to some barbers where they only use 1 hot towel, and it's barely warm. You won't have that problem here at RITE CUT. After a minute, they wipe off the lather with the hot towel while massaging your face. After that, they apply the Pre-Shave Lotion. The lotion they use is very therapeutic and aromatic. It creates that burning sensation on your skin and opens your pores. The lotion also allows the razor to glide easily. After that, they apply the 2nd layer of Hot Lather. By this time, you might fall asleep due to how relaxing it is. Also, at this point the hair is completely soft and easy to cut. The Shave itself is actually 2 shaves. The first shave is done with the growth of the hair. The thing I like the most about George is that he follows all the proper barber protocol. Not many barbers still do that. Many people don't know this, but a Master Barber has to follow exactly 14 steps while shaving your face. George is only 1 of 3 barbers I've had who actually gives you all 14 steps with the proper cutting strokes and technique. After that, you get another hot towel and the 2nd shave begins. This shave is against the growth of the hair and gives you an extra close shave. Post-Shave starts with yet another hot towel, and all types of moisturizers and after-shave. And all of this is ONLY $16! Unbelievable! I really recommend everyone in Temecula to get a shave here! You guys should really appreciate the fact that you have the privilege of having one of the best barbers in your town. I guess most people are too afraid to get a shave because it involves an extremely sharp razor near your throat. Don't worry! A master barber has NEVER cut me. That's why they have to go through so much schooling. BTW, Everyone in Temecula always pretends to be so tough with their "Poser MMA lifestyle", "Tattoos", and "Motorcycles"...but then you guys are too afraid to get a Hot Towel Straight Razor Shave?...come on! Took my 7 year old for the very first time. I will definitely be going back!! I absolutely loved the haircut they gave my son. I'm so picky with detail and making sure they do the sides even and do a straight line on the back. I would definitely recommend them. Honestly, where is the professionalism? The cleanliness? The sanitation? Every time I get a haircut here, the guys talk, text, or watch tv. My hairline is never straight and I'm always reiterating how I want a cut. No one understands the way I want my hair- and I remember how Chuy (if he still works there) ruined my hair. Is it that hard to cut a 5 on top, 1 on the side, fade. Taper the back. Line up and taper the sides a bit? Other barber shops understand, and it's well worth my money. I also HATE when barbers fix my lineup from the side rather than right in front of me. No wonder my lineup is never straight.. Im really disappointed having to write this. Have been taking my kids here and have had a couple good cuts. That said, I went in today and got a haircut from a woman that I've never seen. Upon her completing my haircut, Carlos the owner had to check her work and said she's on "probation" ... Great thanks. She did a straight line shave on my neck and left 6-8 scratches(cuts that are bleeding) on my neck. It looks like a cat attacked me. I called and spoke to Carlos. He could have cared less. Said "he would talk to her"... Didn't get my name, number or even apologize. About the worst reaction and customer service I could imagine. This is last place you want to go. I watched Carlos (the owner of this place) drop the hair brush on the floor (keep in mind he'd cut 3 guys' hair and not swept) and then pick it back up and use it on the guy sitting in his barber chair!! There isno place to shampoo after, so no getting all of the hair off of you. and NOONE has a liscense to cut hair!! if they do, they do not have their liscence from cosmotology/barber school hanging anywhere in the place!! I WILL NOT BE BACK!!!! ooh! and apparently he doesnt pay his bills because the tv kept flashing a message about bill was over due and needed paid!! read more

This is aimed towards the owner Carlos. Ive been going here for years and stopped because of the pandemic but then when it re-opened i decided to see i could get a haircut. As soon as i walked in (with an appt) i waited 15 minutes. That is ok but then i noticed one thing. Everyone is wearing a mask but one person. Carlos. The boss and the owner of the barbershop is not wearing a mask. And to makes matter worse he started to scold one of his employees in front of his customers. Ok i get it he is being a "boss". He continues to yap about how this employee messed up. No disregard to his customers. As a boss he has no professionalism. Ok yes your employee messed up but do you really have to discipline him in front of everyone else? The appropriate way to do it Mr Carlos is take him to your office with another employee as a witness and then discuss your issues in privacy. And please wear a mask. As a boss of your own business be an example not the problem. Otherwise i give this place a 4 stars not for the owner but for his hardworking employees/barbers. read more

This place is amazing! I take my son here once a month to get his hair cut. All the Barbers are very talented at what they do and I have never felt uncomfortable as a woman waiting for my son (as someone stated above) prices are also very reasonable. If you go on the weekend you can plan to wait for sometime as it gets really busy but it's worth the wait! read more

While sitting in my chair getting hair cut, I'm listening to the barbers talk to one another about their night last night. They're going on about how hung over they are and how fast and drunk they were while driving on the freeway and streets. AWESOME! So, my son right when my haircut is finished chokes on a piece of candy offered by the shop. I clear it out and I noticed the other barbers laughing at my kid. Stormed out swore never to come back. A buddy of mine tells me that those scumbags don't work there anymore, so I give the shop another chance. I ask the owner on my way out if after I retire I could come work at his shop. He immediately goes into this long rant about he does not hire white or black people because they are bad employees. With those types of employees and that type of attitude that owner should just pick up shop and go back to where ever he came from. Fuck that place! read more

Place was full when we got there (always a good sign), but the wait time was much shorter, and the process flowed much smoother. Really liked the cuts that me and my son got (but the quality of the cuts has never been a negative for me). I love this place! I was traveling to Fontana on a monthly basis to get my boys their pompadour haircut, but I finally found a place out here in Temecula. My boys have been to Ritecut 3 times and they have all been positive experiences. The first time we had Carlos (great barber and owner) next we had some guy with Japanese tats on his arm and today we had Vanessa and Eric. Awesome barbers, they knew exactly what I wanted for my boys. Eric and Vanessa I give props today because today they got busy with walk ins but they took their time for my boys(I didn't feel rushed). Their cuts are very reasonable on Weds and Thurs boys under 12 are 10.00. They have a sign in sheet just in case they get busy or you can make on line appointments on their website. NO!!!! the barbers were not on their phones. I don't know what these crazy reviewers are saying. I totally recommend this place to any hot rockabilly and normal guys. read more
