I've been here twice now. The first time I got the breakfast burrito special and a bean burrito. I was happy to find a breakfast burrito spot close to me. It's been a bit, but I got the chorizo and it was good. The bean burrito was great too. The second visit I tried the Rivia burrito with two meats, al pastor and carne asada. Both were solid. The salsa bar is pretty basic with just red and green options, but I liked both, especially the green. The inside is cool with nice decorations, and the staff was quick and friendly. The reason I've eaten here so much is because they're literally around the corner from where I live now, so there's a convenience factor for sure. And, as mentioned above, the delicious chicken quesadilla. At first I just got some tacos and they were good, but not great. Perfect to satisfy a craving, but nothing extremely special. I got 4 tortillas that were soaked in oil and stuck together, by the time you separate them, you get 2 tortillas. The shrimp is tiny, vegetables uncut and green, no flavor. There's a large sign posted which states .99 tacos every Wednesday. I came in today, on Wednesday, and was quoted $20 + for chicken fries and 2 chicken tacos. When I asked why so much, I was told the tacos are $3.50. Apparently, they make a batch in the morning and once they sell out the tacos are sold at $3.50. This is a scam. Rivas has amazing everything . Although it is located next to Roberto's ( Mexican food ) it's not a hard choice . Don't get me wrong - I like Roberto's too but Rivas Mexican Grill was more speaking because they use chicken breast . Depends on my mood but most of the time my mood says Rivas . I had the tortas , nachos ( shrimp nachos , chkn , steak ) so delicious . Special chicken burrito , regular burritos . The food taste like it was made with very fresh ingredients. The lady at the register is really helpful and hardworking . Always pleasant team when you go in . Wether I'm in a rush with a to go order or dine in the food is always exceptional . First time using this location. I ordered shrimp nachos minus gaucomole due to allergies. The chips were very flavorful. The shrimp was alittle over cooked but for the most part the nachos were delicious. I enjoyed them and it's my go to for rivas. Definitely should try if you haven't already. read more

You know a place is good when the employees in the surrounding businesses suggest it, unsolicited. I get my hair done next door to Rivas, and there's always at least one stylist eating nachos or a burrito and it's not unusual for the whole store to erupt in arguing over favorite dishes. The consensus seems to be that the fajitas are the best choice but you can't really go wrong. Their chile relleno is one of the best I've had and their burritos are packed with protein. Ask what's in them though, because the shrimp just comes with pico and guac (and a TON of shrimp!), and I opted to add spinach to fill it out. The enchiladas get really mixed reviews though. Rivas is a counter service place with very limited seating. Don't leave without hitting up the salsa bar- selection is limited but the red is mild and the green is good for more kick. read more
