My girlfriend wanted to go here and I wasn't as thrilled as here as I had a few other bbq places on my list to try but man, did this place exceeed my expectations! It has a great blend of bbq / southern soul food, so you get the best of both worlds. The interior had a cool design and very friendly staff / service. And the food was incredible! And such a value for the huge portions you get, $45 for everything we got: -rib and fish combo - amazing, crispy corn meal batter on fish, ribs were moist and fall off bone with a tangy sauce. The sides on everything were amazing, Mac n cheese was superb and so was cabbage n sausage very tasty. -2 piece chicken combo - the chicken wasn't anything special but that's not to say it was bad, it was just moist grilled chicken with bbq sauce, no smoking which I was surprised but still great and great value $13 for this combo). Tasty baked beans side and mustardy potato salad. Overall an awesome first experience. Will def come back even tho we drive all the way from summerlin. Thanks boss daddy! read more

I've been wanting to try Boss Daddy's since the 2025 best of Las Vegas list released. Good soul food and bbq can be hard to find in Vegas. We went on Saturday afternoon to make sure I could try the greens. If a restaurant has greens and yams on the menu I have to try them. Unfortunately they were out of yams that day though so a little disappointing. I opted for the buttered corn for my second side with my ribs and wings instead. My husband ordered the catfish with cabbage. The wait was very long and the restaurant was far from busy. We were told it would be 30 mins. Around 30 mins someone came to our table and told us they were out of cabbage which was a bit annoying. He switched to Mac and cheese instead. After 45 minutes our food finally came out. It was warm enough to eat, but not hot. The ribs were meaty and tender. The wings were crispy but could have used more seasoning or a sauce. The greens were cooked well, still had some bite and had plenty of meat which I liked. The corn was simple but I wasn't expecting much. My husbands catfish was good and he liked his Mac and cheese. It's pretty good for soul food in Las Vegas. If you're from the south I'd manage your expectations. It would be worth a trip back to satisfy a craving though. read more

Passed by this place and decided to give them a try. Was able to place our order almost right away. (No line) This was at 2:15 and there were about 3 other tables waiting for their food. So I'd say it was NOT busy when we came in. About 20 mins passed and it was getting busy. 30 mins, 45 mins, 60 mins passed and we finally got our food. I had checked on our food at about the 45 mins mark and was told they were super short handed and it takes a long time for food orders when they are busy. I don't think we would've care so much if we were warned when ordering that it was going to be an hour for 2 catfish fillets and 3 chicken legs along with sides. ( no cabbage, no yams). Our drinks were gone by the time the food arrived. No offer for refills or keeping us updated on our order. You could tell all the customers were getting super antsy and most were new customers just based on convos including us. I would've loved to give them 5 stars based on the food and would've if the wait was compensated by customer service. Maybe play something different on the 8 TVs besides looking at the same dude playing DJ from his couch, offer drinks to your hungry customers waiting a while, keep them updated on their orders, etc. Food was good though. read more

Disappointed and underwhelmed under flavor. My food was cold and dry. After waiting over an hour. Are you serious here? Apparently, my food had been waiting like a plastic bag sweating so my french fries are are cold and soggy, and the taco burger was soggy as well. What a horrible experience. The peach cobbler was dry and underwhelming, and the mac & cheese was flavorless cold and cold I would not recommend to have your customers waiting after they've already paid for their food. Then I saw people that came in after me sitting down eating and people coming in and picking up their food to go Got waited on before me. I ordered my food at 4:06 and did not get it till after 5 PM. I had a wonderful dining experience at Soul Food Restaurant Boss Daddy on Tuesday around 5 PM. The food was exceptional and full of flavor. The mac and cheese was creamy, rich, and perfectly prepared. The fish was crispy without being overly seasoned, and the portions were generous. The ribs were tender and fell off the bone, while the wings were crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. What made the experience even more enjoyable was the outstanding customer service. I would like to recognize Kristin and Lydia for being welcoming, attentive, and professional, as well as Heaven for preparing our meal so well. The lady at the cashier register with the large 'Vegas tattoo on her neck was a doll. But despite her hospitality and graceful way of letting us know that they were out of cabbage w/ links and that collard greens weren't available, everything was well, mediocre. The Mac and cheese lacked starch making it greasy, the potato salad had too much onion in it along with egg and chopped up pickles. Idk what that was all about. The sweet yams were good if you like fall off the fork mush. (They were yummy in flavor). The wings were a bit on the salty side. And when I say mediocre I meant the ribs. Frankly the French fries were the only thing I liked. I feel bad writing this but I'm just being honest even the baked beens gave me 'can - baked beans. When I eat or try soul food restaurants I can't get past anything else if collard greens aren't available. What do you mean you only serve collard greens on Fridays and Saturday?!? The ambiance was nice they had multiple tvs displaying the DJ that was heard through the entire thee halls this place had. One of the rooms had a drum set and luxe couch maybe it gets poppin on or over the weekends. As far as weekday activities don't expect to find greens available. I came in to get my order as was stated here by the owner to do and I have to say after 3 people had to read my yelp to believe that this was posted I was told they didn't have all the food in my order. But started to write down the items I ordered when another girl came and took the paper they never let me finish telling them my order. Maybe check cameras since we were coming so often getting the same order it should be on camera if I'm not going to be believed. This is why I was trying to call ahead so I could pick up everything on a day it worked out. . I went ahead and re payed in tip for the items I did receive but I honestly I feel this trip was again very unprofessional. As a business owner myself nobody ever apologized. One girl said thank you so much when I placed 50.00 in the tips. Sadly We won't be back. It is really sad how the difference between before the remodel and now. Used to be a regular customer but the last two times I got the wrong food and once some of the food was missing. When I went back and told them I was treated very poorly like I was lying. I had called both times when I got home to start to each and no long answers the phone and yet the manger said they always answer the phone but if you leave a message it goes to the main office and no one calls back either. The music is so loud I wonder how anyone could hear your order anyhow. Check your orders before you leave call since no one answers. The good is good but the rest is awful so as they say buyer beware. Also, they run out of food regularly so you have to get there early or they will not have many of the items on the menu. read more

Boss Daddy's is the bomb! Best BBQ I've found in LV so far. My go-to is the rib plate with mac n cheese & BBQ beans. The beans are sooo hearty and flavorful-- a must order for sure!! I tried Boss Daddy LV after seeing someone review it on Instagram, and I'm so glad me and my family decided to order from there for my birthday. The customer service and phone etiquette were great from the start, which made the experience even better. The fish was amazing, especially paired with the yams. The chicken wings were fried perfectly -- crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right. We also tried a few other items, but the fish and yams definitely stood out the most. This place is great. The owner is a nice guy and the women who took my order was friendly. The food was 10/10 the Mac and cheese was some of the best iv had, and the ribs. Words can't describe how perfect they are. The homemade BBQ sauce completed the meal. And the baked beans had what I assume to be ground beef in them. It was amazing. The catfish was fried so perfectly the breading crutches as the inside melts on your tongue.
