Paula was incredible! So patient, clear, supportive and warm. She was the perfect instructor and we learned so much from her knowledge and approach. Speaking of warm, it was FREEZING when we went, snow on the ground, the whole 9. No problem for us because Orvis lights fire pits in winter right by your individual shooting sites! The clay shooting itself is very fun and challenging. Our instructor Paula gave us great tips on hitting the target, gun safety and usage. She was an outstanding teacher! We absolutely loved this entire experience and plan to go back once per season.

(Back Story) So my review starts with a "Bad Dad" moment…read more Accidentally let my son's bike fall out of my open hatch on my car while backing up this morning and ran it over. Derailleur (yes, that's how it spelled, thank you Google) was completely twisted, cables crushed and slight bend to derailleur hanger. My son rides daily and how would I tell him when he came home from school that the bike was wrecked. (Start Review) I called Catskill Bicycle Supply shortly after they opened. Spoke with Lee on the phone and he said to bring the bike in and he would look at it. They were open on a Monday which doesn't happen a lot in rural New York which was nice. I brought the bike in and he took a quick look and told me a few things he saw and asked me to leave the bike and he would get back to me with an estimate. I left expecting to hear from him later in the week. Shortly after noon time, I had a text with a very reasonable and detailed estimate from them. I gave them the green light to make the repairs and again made an assumption that I would here from them by the end of the week at the earliest. Two hours later, Lee texted that my son's bike was ready for pick up, exactly four hours after being broken. They were able to squeeze in the repairs while waiting for parts on other repairs and explained that a two hour turnaround isn't the norm but they knew the kid would be sad without his bike. Can't thank them enough for the great service. Now the quandary, do I tell my son of what transpired since 8:30am today or just park the bike? Tips: Located on Main Street Catskill conveniently with street parking. While this was a service visit, their bike's for sale looked pretty amazing. Was in and out so quick, I never got any photos.

This is an actual sole proprietorship in a workd of chain stores, so there's quirky parts to it. But I always find something really cool here and have really interesting conversations with the owner Steven. It feels really good to go into a store, which is actually curated by somebody who's had a lifetime of running retail, so it's not all pre-programmed generic, but filled with interesting things in every little corner.

I was looking at a sweater didn't see my size - I continued to carry on in the store because I genuinely love it. Today the back room was covered in open boxes making it very difficult to shop regardless I found a stack of the sweaters (the one I was looking for). The guy working proceeded to yell at me stating they were all out. I said I'm looking for the grey sweater in a large - to which he replied "we don't have grey". I pointed at the stack and I know I'm not color blind but maybe he is, so I said that's grey. He pulled the sweater out and throws it at me! Yes throws it! He was mad he had to get off his seat, his phone and actually work. I put everything down my family and I walked out! Individual working on Thursday 7/27!
