It's mid-October so the pricing wasn't peak pricing and at $40/person. My GPS glitched and turned us around a couple times so we made it just in time. We were given the safety briefing after checking in. Then we got our gear and got on the bus to get to the river. Our small group of 5 got to raft with James. He was phenomenal! James is so much like my husband's family where he can joke with a straight face and you don't know if it's a joke or not. James did an amazing job of guiding us and leading us down the Ocoee. Several in our group had never been whitewater rafting before. Everyone had a great time! It was truly amazing. Thank you so much for memories we won't ever forget!

Our guide, Spencer, was incredibly skilled as he could have navigated blindfolded... yes, he's that good! Spencer was also an absolute blast to surf the river with... very friendly, knowledgable and well-traveled... he had plenty of amusing stories to share and kept us all very engaged. I should also mention that Spencer was also seriously great at gaging our comfort level vs. our spirit of adventure... therefore, he was able to navigate us down various paths of the river making it challenging and thrilling for us! While there are plenty of white water outfitters to pick from, we intentionally picked a smaller outfitter and we were so glad we did... we felt our experience was more personal, less generic, and seriously less crowded! I only wished I had sat in the front of the boat where the photographer was situated... that would have made a fantastic birthday photo. The only other "disappointment" was that Cascade Outdoors advertised about their HOT SHOWERS which was super important to us and was one of the main reasons we chose Cascade Outdoors... but there was NO hot water available and the lack of being able to take a good shower after the rafting trip did impede on our other plans. Other than that, Cascade Outdoors and our guide, Spencer, offered us a fabulously fun white water experience on the Ocoee River! We can't wait to return!!! :)

It was so much fun and full of adrenaline rushes. Our guide Alexander was amazing and so knowledgeable. He did a great job of giving us directions on how not to wipe out on the Olympic section of the river. The lunch that was included was good. There was no snacks or water on the boat. There was really hot. They have showers, changing rooms and bathrooms which are very clean after you get out of the river at the outpost. It was packed on Sunday we couldn't even sign up for the zip lining.

The day started at 8:30 am at the Philip Grymes center at Coolidge Park. After a safety briefing and outline of the days events, we rode bicycles 6 miles upstream along the Riverwalk. We had a couple of breaks and were given interesting facts about the areas we were riding through. We reached the boat ramp where the kayaks were waiting for us in about an hour and a half. After a safety briefing and equipment issue, we were on our way, paddling with the current back to Coolidge Park. There were 12 of us, including the two OC employees and it took us an hour and 40 minutes to get back to the canoe ramp. The entire day (4 hours) was laid back and fun...no stress. This was a fantastic local adventure and I highly recommend it!

The instructors, from my experience and what I heard, were super animated and energetic! They made the experience for us first timers, a breeze and fun. There's a photographer who follows you along the way in which you can purchase all the photos at the end for $45. Given the quality of the photos, I feel as though it's a very fair price especially as we ended up with almost 40 pictures to look through. Overall, I had a perfect first white water rafting experience. There's bathrooms, showers, and changing rooms on site if you want to freshen up for the long car ride home. All the staff members were great especially our guide, Justin!! I would love love to come again and do the longer 6 hour ride in the near future. Highly recommend this company!
