If you are contemplating buying a paddle board, they even do rentals. The rentals are also a perfect way to explore and see Chattanooga from a different vantage point. Absolutely FANTASTIC time with Lynn leading us on a sunset cruise. She was on a SUP, we were in kayaks. Had an excellent experience, including getting swamped by a passing speedboat wake! My husband and I rented paddle boards and between the two of us had only one other paddle boarding experience! Being beginners, the staff was great at letting us know about the river current/conditions and which direction was best to paddle. After watching an instructional video we were on our way down to the launch point. Renting from L2 is super easy. There's lots of (paid) parking around Coolidge Park, the shop has a bathroom and small lockers, and we didn't have to do much else other than hop on our boards and paddle! If you're around during the week, they have some great specials Monday through Thursday. read more

These guys are awesome! I've gone paddleboarding before somewhere else but wanted to try a different location this time. Found L2 and was excited to find that they're located right in Coolidge Park, right by the river. Check-in was a breeze. You watch a little orientation video amd then the guys walked us down to the river with our paddleboards and paddles. Had a fun time on the river. When we were done, the guys were there at the launch point to collect our equipment. Easy breezy. The staff were very friendly. Would do it again. read more

I have never been paddle boarding & wanted to go somewhere trustworthy for a good first experience. It was INCREDIBLE. I went out with Lexy & she showed me how look like a professional even though I was a total rookie She was super experienced & helped me learn the ropes. Not to mention their location is perfect on the river in Coolidge Park. I would TOTALLY recommend to anyone to use L2 and especially request Lexy. When my out of town friends come visit I'm going to take them to L2 to go paddle boarding for a real chatt experience. I'm excited to go back & try kayaking with them too. read more

Arrived in Chattanooga today and decided to try stand up paddle boarding (SUP) on the Tennessee River. Went into the only shop on the riverfront L2. We signed up for the sunset tour. Staff was very friendly. We had a great time. Price was very reasonable and we got a great view of Chattanooga. Want to rent again during our trip! Highly recommend L2! read more

I love L2! Perhaps I'm biased... I used to work there... But this place was like a second home to me over the summer months! I know that they recently added the fuel food/drink section and I haven't been back since that addition, but I know that the staff has always been wonderful and welcoming. The paddle boarding is some of the best I'be experienced. The Tennessee river is mild and a beautiful paddle. Not to mention, L2 uses EXTREMELY quality boards in their rental fleet. It has made me a bit of a snob when I rent other places... The rentals are cheap! Just make sure to schedule ahead so you can walk in and be guaranteed a board. Lessons aren't too expensive and can help you feel extremely comfortable on the board if you are a first timer! Just writing this review makes me miss L2! If you haven't tried paddle boarding yet, let L2 teach you the ropes and find your new passion! read more

This was a really fun experience. All of the employees are super nice. We rented a double kayak for my brother and I and a single kayak for my husband. They give clear safety instructions. I arrived in a wheelchair due to a recent injury. They were really good about helping me out. My wheelchair was left on the ramp so it was ready for my arrival. The guy who helped my group was kind enough to give a brief walkthrough for us noobs after walking us out to the pier and patient enough to help my brother up from when he fell in. Bought a pair of Rainbow flip flops which is a pair of several purchased from L2. I bought them in April 2021. They are the hemp which I've owned. They started fraying and I thought no big deal and trimmed. Month later they are fraying again and I trimmed them again. They started again and obviously a defective pair. Very nicely asked them to replace. They nor Rainbow would respond to emails or phone calls. I went back today and was told only a 60 day warranty. I've had them a little over 90 days and they will not refund or replace a defective product that they sold me. They must not back what they sell and I have purchased several pairs from them even from their previous location. I try to support small independent shops like this. Unfortunately the big box like Bass Pro will take a bad product back. Walmart is easier than L2 to deal with. I supported them back and provided them with space to launch their paddle business on the River when I was involved in the management of the waterfront. My boyfriend and I had a week off of work and were not sure what to do. Money has been tight and we didn't want to bust the bank. We decided on an overnight trip to Chattanooga to explore the outdoors. What was supposed to be 1 day and night turned into a 4 day weekend. The best part of the experience was kayaking in the river. Much thanks to L2 -- the first day we booked the current was a little strong. They refunded our booking and instead of recommending we rebook immediately, they saved us money by encouraged us to just call in the morning in case of rain (because they refund for strong currents, but not for weather). Good weather the next day - so we rebooked and had a great time! read more

We had a great experience. The staff was very professional and nice. I would recommend the company invest in some waterproof timers/watches to attach to the rental equipment. My husband and I had to wait 30 minutes for someone to return their boards... even though we had made a reservations days before and we showed up on time. L2 refunded part of our money because they were booked for the whole day. The renters before us returned 45 minutes late. If there were timers or watches on the boards this could be prevented. read more

A surf shop in Tennessee. It is true and I saw the insides. Not quite the surf shop I'm used to in Jacksonville, FL but it does have SUPs. That's stand up surfboards for you in Reolinda. They do also have some baggies but I'm not sure that's what they called them here. Heck I even saw a few skateboards, mostly long boards but skateboards anyway. My wife and I came in to Chatt for the weekend to check out the city and enjoy our anniversary. We knew we wanted to explore downtown and the Tenneessee River, and found out about L2. We rented SUP boards and did the sunset tour. The employees were all very cordial and engaging, making us feel welcome and excited about our tour. On the tour, we had free range to go however fast or slow we wanted, and were able to really explore on our 1 hour trip. Thanks guys, we'll back! read more

Sam provided good instructions before heading out as far as the best direction to take and how to insure a trip that would last about an hour. He pointed out things in nature to watch for and provided some steering tips for the paddles. It was an enjoyable experience, one we would definitely do again. read more

We rented kayaks from them while visiting Chattanooga. We were there on a Tuesday and got and extra hour for free. They carried the kayaks to the water for us (don't forget to add the tip when paying online) and were extremely helpfully with any questions we had. My sister and I had a lot of fun this past weekend doing the SUP Sunset Tour. Our guide, Dirk, was very informative and made sure that everybody got back safely and even helped my sister when she had trouble. The Tennessee River is really nice for paddleboarding and the water was pretty calm. My only complaint was that I was coming from out of town so I didn't know where the market street bridge was and I called but nobody picked up and the mailbox was full, but I had no trouble finding the spot because there were a lot of paddleboards/kayaks under this one bridge. Overall, the paddleboarding experience was great and I highly recommend this company and tour, they really do a fantastic job! read more

I recently placed an order online. I received two order confirmations, And was charged for the order. I checked my order status online multiple times over 6 days. It always showed everything being good to go. After not receiving any shipping confirmation after 6 days I called the store, and sent an email only to hear back that the item I ordered had never been in stock and I would not be receiving it. No one informed me of this mistake until I pursued it. I was very disappointed about how this mistake was handled, or not handled and will unfortunately not be ordering from them again read more

Staff is super friendly, and paddle boarding on the Tennessee River is a must. Wish we had an opportunity to do paddle board yoga with the AWESOME teacher, who got in the water with my daughter and her friends and gave a little private and engaged in great conversation.
