We used River City Sewer when we purchased our first home. When it came time to sell our home we had two inspections done and both inspectors did a poor and insufficient job with the video and could not tell if a pipe was broken or if it was just debris. We turned to River City Sewer. Scheduling was simple and we were able to get someone out quick. The gentleman who came was professional and thorough Their video was top notch and addressed and disclosed everything to the new buyers. We were just overall impressed with there service and helped us move that much closer to selling our home. So my kitchen sink got clogged up, and the main from that kitchen stack was also clogged. The technician came out and did such a wonderful job, even though the snake didn't do the trick Kevin was able to do something with water pressure to force the clog through. The technician spent less than 15 minutes here and I was charged the full $179 for the camera job. He said he couldn't get the camera more than 20 feet either way due to roots. The entire drain was roto-rooted less than a month ago. I asked if I could pay him the $179 now, and have him back within a week once I had the drain Roto-rooted again. He said no. Pay him $179 now. Pay him $179 again when he comes back and does the full job. I said I could understand paying for a service call today (somewhere around $80) and then paying $179 when he comes back and completes the job. He said no and proceeded to tell me how much his camera cost. I would advise against using this company. read more

The first company that tried to clear my drain, could not, charged me over $200, and said the lateral line to the street had collapsed. After consulting a plumber friend (that doesn't do drain cleaning) He suggested a company, that could use a camera to confirm a collapse, and the city of Kirkwood, would pay a portion of the bill.(thousands). They could not clear the drain either, the camera did not show much, so they also claimed it was a collapse, and to call the City of Kirkwood . This was Thursday PM, B-4 Memorial Day weekend. I called the city, and they said a contractor will be in touch. River City Drain called on Friday to ask if it was a emergency situation, like backing into the house. I told them it was not , Tuesday would be fine. Well the first 2 guys were wrong. River City cleared the drain and showed me the video(pretty cool). I wasted over $450 on the other guys, I certainly will call River City first next time. They were courteous, professional and easy to work with. I had to pay the City of Kirkwood a $400 deposit, they actually paid River City, but we got almost half of that back. I would highly recommend River City Drain to anyone who need this type of service. read more

Nasty customer service. Over a year after the job was done and paid a snipy woman called and told me she was sending me to collections because of a past-due account that I was never aware of. She didn't even give me an opportunity to reconcile the problem. read more

The proprietors of River City are lovely and clearly hard-working people. Unfortunately, my experience with their company was marred by the fact that, prior to performing the requested work, they misrepresented their fee schedule to such an extent that I ended up having to pay fully twice what I had anticipated. So, no complaints regarding the quality of the work, but I would recommend that anyone considering conducting business with River City in the future make sure that you know EXACTLY what you're expected to pay. In retrospect, I would guess that their might be some better values available elsewhere... read more
