Even though I had appt and paying customer she hurried the job just because others were coming in. Had a pedicure and it was a great experience. Massage chair going, feet in warm water, and it begins. I had an owie on one of my big toes, pointed it out and special care was taken in that area. Very good nail trimming, followed by moisturizing, exfoliating with a great scrub, and massage. Especially in the summer when I go barefoot, my feet can get dry and cracked. I've been coming to this place for over a year for pedicures, along with my MIL. We both love the service we receive from Diane & Dan as well as their helpers. The pedicures are always so relaxing. Dan takes special care of MIL's needs as she is 94 years young! Today I went for a gel manicure, hadn't gotten one in more than 3 years; once Covid hit and I retired. Let me just say that I left there today in absolute awe. The manicure was quick, painless and Dan gave me good advice on how to keep my nails healthy. The color and shape are perfect. I really enjoyed my visit to this nail & spa. We scheduled an appointment and were able to get one for next day. There is a splendor of regular and gel polish choices and they were beautifully displayed for decision making. Because you all know deciding what polish to choose is a huge decision lol. I love that they have a nail art display as well for those of us who like to bling out the nails. The location has adequate parking in the lot as well as street parking. The salon itself is small but has a very relaxing and comfortable feel to it. It kind of makes you feel like all the cares of the world are gone for that moment. The salon was very clean and organized. Staff were attentive and very friendly. They took their time and didn't appear to rush through their appointments which is stellar customer service in my book. There were some slight imperfections to the nails in regards to shape and some areas on the sides were not polished. I can count on one hand the times that we've had pedicures, but my husband thought it would be nice to treat ourselves and our middle daughter to a little pampering! We called very last minute for pedicures. Dan and Diane were able to squeeze us in on a Saturday morning. They were efficient. The shop was very clean and welcoming. Nice people but I've been to many nail salons and done my own pedicures for 15+ years... I've had blackened bruised nails from wearing heels and chipped nails from bumping into things... but I went here *once* and now both my usually resilient big toenails are ingrown on the outer edge... haven't been able to wear polish and shoes are uncomfortable due to the pain. Waiting to see a podiatrist to correct it before it gets worse, luckily I don't seem to have a strong infection because the first sign of one I began applying tea tree oil immediately. From all my research all I can gather is she cut my nails wrong allowing them to grow incorrectly. Probably will never let another nail tech touch me again. My first visit here while traveling. I did not have an appointment and arrived when they were opening their doors on a Friday morning. They welcomed me to wait as arriving just ahead of me was a birthday party of 6 ladies. I didn't mind waiting 30 min. I was impressed by how organized the polish colors were on their back wall making it easy for me to choose a color. My pedicure was done nicely and the foot massage was great! I've been coming here for a couple years now, and I'm never disappointed by the service. I've had waxing, gel manicures, regular polish manicures/pedicures, French manicures, and nail art. All awesome. I really like the face-wax she uses, and the French manicure is always clean. They work fast, but they get busy so you will want to call ahead of time so you don't have to wait. My mom is new to nail salons, but a new disability makes it hard for her to take care of her own nails, so I talked her in to coming here. She was one of those "I don't like people touching my feet!" non-pedicurists, but the people here always make us feel welcomed and comfortable even now that it takes a little bit longer for her to get in and out of the pedicure chair. Horrible. They opened late. Waited outside for 20 minutes. Diana did my nails and they came out horrible with the gel. It was like she'd never done gel before and she owns the place. My nails look worse walking out than they did walking in. Then she charges me $30 for just a gel polishing. They look horrible. There's bumps and dots on every nail. Needless to say I will not be going back in any time soon. Update on my nails a week later: they're all already starting to peel off. Maybe I just got a bad polish, I've never had gel come off this quickly especially for the price I paid for them. read more

The Grand Opening of this business was last week and they are doing a 20% off all services which is really nice! Considering their prices are very reasonable. It was $27.00 for a basic mani/pedi. The spa is really clean and lovely. It is a relaxing environment. All the pedicure spa chairs are new and they use a clean liner in the foot spa for each person for cleanliness. The manicure counter tops were made out of some marble that had agate slices imbedded in it which was really pretty. They also gave me a bottle of water right away which is courteous. They mostly do manicures and pedicures but they also do waxing. The pedicure consisted of the normal cuticle treatment and filing but they also did a salt scrub before putting the lotion, massage and painting which was pleasant. My technicians name was Tammy and she was very nice and painted well. Next time I will get a french which is the true test of painting. They also had a huge variety of colors. They displayed them on plastic nails which made it easy to put up to your skin and see how it looked. The owner/manager was really friendly and nice. I was tired from my day and didn't catch his name but I will be going there regularly. It's nice to have a place in Guerneville because I've been going to Sebastopol or Santa Rosa. I now have been coming here over a year. They are consistently amazing and sweet. I went to a couple other places just bc of convienance and they have truly made me aware of how most places are not clean and do not use methods to ensure the tools are properly cleaned. This place is beyond 5 stars. It may be one of the best of the best. This family is top notch in customer service, quality and cleanliness. Also keeping up w the latest trends. read more

I went into get a mani and pedi yesterday. I haven't been into River Nail Salon in a few years. I usually go into Shiloh Nails but I didn't feel like taking the drive I thought I would stay local. I wasn't to pleased to say the least. Especially during this pandemic this business should be on top of there Cleaning and keeping the salon very clean. I sat down in a pedicure chair and my nail tech came over with no gloves on. had the same Implements and nail files and nail buffers that everyone had been using I could totally tell NOT OK. I asked my nail technician to please get me all clean nail files and buffers etc that wasn't an issue so he did. He grabbed the wrong nail color as I was opening up the nail color it was so old and dirty with crud all over the bottle?? Do they not check their nail polishes and clean them off?? Hands-down this place totally needs to be cleaned they need to disinfect all of their stations sweep the floors keep there Business clean!! Why wouldn't they be using clean nail files and buffers on every single customer no customer should be using the same implements that is not OK!! I don't think I will be going back ever again. Taking the drive to my Normal Nail salon is worth it!! I really would like to see River Nails step it up and clean up there business!! read more
